3902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Biggest Pros of Bitcoin??? on: May 31, 2020, 07:05:08 PM
There are many more than we can list out.

However I believe it is the store value of bitcoin which is biggest thing it can give us. Because of its store value one can rely on trades, saving my money in terms of bitcoin, long term safeguard of money is all you can get from bitcoin.

In fact, it’s been few years we can see all the advantages of it. In the today’s time when rest of the world is going through financial crisis and inflation is at its best then also bitcoin stands still.

May be that is the thing you can take it as positive stuff.
3903  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Impact Of Commercial Space Exploration on: May 31, 2020, 04:44:56 PM
Snip

Space junk is real thing and it’s truly big problem. More than 120 million small pieces are floating around the earth today and according to National Geographic article it’s going to be worst in the future.

We need to come up with solution where the launch of rocket returns as whole without sending pre-launch ignition rockets into the space. What Elon Musk is doing is absolutely great and hands off to his excellency in space project but it’s gonna do it worse if every private tour brings space junk and suffocate the earth.

We are small buddies, I hope they are thinking about solution as well.

Good article to read.

I was wondering at first how its associated with the Bitcoin but at the end everything was making sense. It's all about the store value of bitcoin and how steady it is. I guess EU's move to release new stimulus package is very obvious and the inflation is sure shot since things have been upside down with the covid situation.

Things will get more costly as businesses has hampered a lot and most of them are shut completely due to unprecedented situation and their overdraft bank accounts.

For bitcoin these things will never matter, since no business drives its value. It's only money influx from the global investors which will drive its price. As of now, it's steady because neither investors have pooled out neither new are added.
3905  Other / Meta / Re: Having the NOTIFICATION shortcut tag of a new post made in the forum on: May 29, 2020, 04:29:26 PM
Are we talking about most recent posts that are being replied ?

Because as far as I have seen we already get preloaded feature at the bottom of forum where recent posts are shown.

I’m talking about this . . .

Of course having notification button at the top would be good feature but it won’t be different than the above snapshot I believe.

With every refresh that footer changes. It does most of the work.

Terrific.  Who changed the boss Tongue
3907  Other / Meta / Re: [GAME] Bitcointalk game on: May 29, 2020, 09:03:47 AM
I went through the game. It is pretty smooth in running however I have few questions and adoption to this.

Questions:

1. I know its just a game but have you thought of collecting the data from this game?

This can actually help some way other to fetch pool of data and upvotes on specific concerns that are around the forum. I know we can just add vote question in the forum itself but this could be more descriptive and as many question as we want can be asked.

2. Can you develop a code where user can input their name at the start so that at the end we can see how many of them answered.

Basically this one would be helpful when the first question is solved and made into effect.

3. Have you thought of using it for debate purposes that always go on in the trust sections.

This could be fun watching. You can also add question where one can submit descriptive answer. Just imagine prosecutors and scammers info going public on your Watch Page at the end.  Tongue

Adoptions:

1. You can make that 10/X as X/10 so that we can understand at what question we are.

2. There is no back button as well as I can easily go to next question without answering the current. It must be free to play around but should have little huddles to move ahead so that you can get some answer to each question.

3. Besides choosing all the true answers you can also put some mind blowing facts about the forum so that new people can learn.

*Also it ended very quickly. It should be long and fun to play around.

Very nice to see it around. Keep up the good work mate.  Hopefully you will get more suggestions and applauds as everyone sees it.
3908  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s next for Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2020, 04:39:21 AM
The only major impact that can happen to bitcoin is gaining more popularity as the time is passing. I bet if we had no global emergency right now then most of the people would have been into crypto this year.

With completion of decade last year people now know bitcoin is that liquid asset which can profit them in many ways and also could be second most famous reserve after Gold. For now we are more or less in dormant stage and as soon as people will be out of danger they will think of solid survival, meaning resetting their economic situation and then bitcoin would be the ray of light to invest in.

It’s even becoming better because it just passed its halving, correcting its value to proper cap and by the time everybody back in investment it will be steady asset.

The bitcoin is gonna see best days of it, the way it has done always.
3909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi just moved his coins? on: May 28, 2020, 06:11:38 PM
Apart from curiosity is this topic even have any meaning to real life suppositions. I mean this is not the only thread with such analysis regarding Satoshi but many. And all of them have ended up with nothing but some debate where half of people say it’s satoshi and half says it’s not.

Hm, I guess reading the comments and putting a bet and beer on who will win in this thread is more fun now a days. Love it.

3913  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks would suffer till at least 2025, according to IMF on: May 25, 2020, 11:52:05 AM
5 years is huge period to get back on track for any nation. When it comes to America then their wealth structure is pretty stubborn as compared to other nations worldwide. I believe US will surely retain its position of being top player of economy which it has done since 1871 as per study.

GDP of US is gonna be $21.44 trillion by the end of 2020 being in the endemic scenario of Corona. This is way more GDP than 2008 crisis which was about  $14,712,800 million. (Reference :- US GDP 2008)

Whether we predict it even worst value than mentioned above then also US stands bigger chance of improving its economic situation than anyone else.
3914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger(and Trezor) hardware wallet owners: heads up on: May 25, 2020, 08:49:45 AM
That's really nasty one. After reading what can they do about my E-mail making me uncomfortable. I use it almost everywhere.

I will start updating it with the services where it is allowed to do so.

Perhaps, the news should be false and all the ledger services must abide to the stringent laws against data protection.
3915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger(and Trezor) hardware wallet owners: heads up on: May 25, 2020, 06:27:02 AM
I never opened up my ledger after creating the backup for the initial set up.

So does it mean my data is still secure for my ledger ?

What I mean is, I never connected it with network till now after first set up.

Or is it like they have fetched the data from stored servers of ledgers or whatever storage location is there? Shall we afraid of our coins in the ledger ?
Your bitcoin and other altcoins are safe. The only thing you should worry is that the personal information you surrendered to the mentioned company are at risk of being compromised by illegal dealers in the blackmarket.

Your ledger and your crypto is not correlated from the data breach but your sensitive information when your bought your cold storage does. Your coins are safe unless there is a $5 Wrench attack,

Okay that is the most important thing for me, the fund security.
Otherwise it would have made an impression that cold storage is also unsafe now. Lol.

I don't remember sharing my phone number, it's only E-mail with 2FA security so I don't think anyone can misuse it besides sending spam mails.

That's a relief though if my coins are safe. Thanks for info.

Right after the debate on the llvestream ended barely sociable posted their own reaction to both tone vays and jimmy song while they were dissecting his video.
Both were not going to have him argue their points so he felt he had to post this video in response.

I personally don't think that Tone Vays(undecided on Jimmy Song) is the best person in the Bitcoin space to throw into a debate, but really, while the documentary is really really well done in a production perspective, it's almost low-key trying to skew the watchers to the BCH camp. Hence why I'd really won't the YouTuber that much credibility.

Speaking of YouTube , they are more or less based on hypothetical assumptions. They will not go into deeper space to research their content tbh.

There are few channels which will do core research to give out the answer.

The debate has to call from big personalities of Satoshi time, may be their colleagues if any. Wondering how we are not speaking about them as well since they could be more easy to find and link the connection with Satoshi.
3918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New documentary: Bitcoin Revolution in Africa on: May 24, 2020, 11:49:57 AM
Someone might have taken it in wrong way. I mean it doesn't even have Amazon prime logo or promotion anywhere. I'm pretty sure it's not endorsed by Amazon prime for sure.

About the trailer, it is good as far as potential of bitcoin is considered in the country like Africa. I'm not cocnern about south Africa since it is far developed in terms of bitcoin.

However, it is the north and middle Africa which needs to be pushed down the road of crypto currency. :-)

3920  Local / India / Re: Crypto ATM in India. Would it be worth it ? on: May 22, 2020, 04:19:32 PM
Plus its India I would make it 10 until and unless the company has money to speed it through.
ATM's will only work if there are bunch of them at good locations.

They should put in normal voting machines where people can vote if they need it or not and one with the Highest number of votes , that area ( might be Banglore or Delhi ) should get one established for trial run .

Yeah that's a laughable and at the same time serious concern here. Corona has hit at worst time to India.

Tell you what you never know, in the next annual budget they may set out different guidelines for the Cryptocurrency because they might foresee use of crypto in wrong way.

Ex. Black money, Politicians putting their money over cyrpto's thus affecting the Indian economy which is already disturbed.

that area ( might be Banglore or Delhi ) should get one established for trial run .

It could be Mumbai and Pune as well. The metro cities with big time crypto crowd.

Don't forget our Gujarathi & Marwadi businessman's who are very much into crypto since long!!  Wink
