3961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wonder how much is the $1200 stimulus package worth now if invested on BTC? on: May 06, 2020, 05:07:17 PM
So what exactly that guy is trying to do here.  Rip off the back up money with unpredictable and more volatile than alcohol currency like BTC Cheesy

I had to make that sentence long enough to digest such savage thing. This guy is nuts if he is seriously putting that money in BTC and motivating others to do the same. Let me tell you that is gonna give bad thoughts to others by creating greed of earning some profits with this money.

FYI : I believe it is worth 100% profit since it is FREE money. lol.  Tongue
3962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin halving make cryptocurrencies reach all time high again? on: May 06, 2020, 04:40:40 PM
...
Yes the ATH occur after the halving so let's wait for more months and see if there would be some positive sentiments that could give the market some pumps to reach a new ATH.
We could only wait and hope for the price to go up again and move higher to it's current ATH but we still have a long way before it happens.

You are right mate, and lot of people think the ATH happens at the same time than halving, that's a big mistake. Those who decide to hold will have to it for the next couple of years if you are chasing the new ATH.

Just follow the pattern guys and play it smart.

*refer above post for image*

Yes of course, this graphical presentation tells the story lucidly. I mean what proof we guys need rather than the history of bitcoin and its relation with the halving process.

Many factors get changed, I mean,
1. Miners reward will decrease and thus demand for powerful hash needs to be pushed into the pool.
2. This makes use of more electricity, machines and stuff to boost the cost of BTC in the market.
3. Most important, huge BTC stands virgin and miners focus on chasing them for higher OTC values.
4. Supply will decrease that is to be mined, and huge holdings in dark ledgers makes more demand in the circulation.

Based on these factors BTC will tend to rise ATH over the time.

Just like this guy said, it will take time. It will happen eventually, may be few spikes will come along the way, but ATH will be achieved in couple of months to a years time.
3963  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Great Investment Opportunity and partnership!!! on: May 05, 2020, 04:46:18 PM
Yeah, that is seriously just words all over here. I mean since the time the thread is started there is no mention of documents, some project work, or even screenshot of dummy app so that everyone can trust this thing.  Tongue

I mean just introducing myself to the world doesn't mean I am the honest one and expect them to throw BTC my way. Never!

May be you should start working at your end first, create a credibility by showing some proof of work. Your team, your office, your blue prints per se and almost everything or anything that can increase the trust on this project.

Because, what you started with an idea literally ended up in fight over your newbie and old account.

You see where I am headed with this?

May be you need to go back to that desk of yours and make some moves to make the legends happy.
3964  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: TradingPanel.pro - Free trading terminal for Binance 2020 on: May 05, 2020, 01:09:49 PM
In 2018, we launched a beta version that closed 1,000-3,000 profitable positions per day, depending on the trading intensity, using a comprehensive entry strategy, DCA and trailing profit. This is amazing!
During the tests, weaknesses were identified with the simultaneous operation of several bots, the volatility and liquidity of the cryptocurrency market.

In 2019, we began to restructure the project, considering all the experience of 2017-2018 years to launch the Public version.

In February 2020, we opened the Panel to everyone.

In March 2020, we added Margin and Futures trading.

Your user interface is really fresh one.

How ever are you trying to publish your panel here or want us to add something to it.

One straight question, have you ever published your project with bounty, signature campaign or any means in this forum. Because those events from 2017, 2018 should be somewhere around here. I mean this looks good panel but still unknown Or may be missing a thread about it really.

But I don't understand why there is Charge for signing up on your site.

I seed there is referral link and if we don't use it then you will just charge 15 bucks for it. So one way other I see this is as referral earning strategy from binance trade.

That is tricky part for me.

Means I only get to sign up for free if I use your referral link.

Most of the users are having their Binance accounts here, so why would they register again just to register on your panel.

Also, this could get you competitive since there are free trading analysis panels out there.

It is good initiative with what a learner would need.
However, as above posts stated that it’s not focusing on blockchain which could be very interesting topic to learn.

I do see one topic “Blockchain and Markets” but with only one chapter. May be more could be added here.  Cheesy

But, I see that since it’s trading site you have merged with it has to be more or less trading based.

Each module is arranged fairly well with sub-lessons. I believe one can enjoy reading for long period of time.

However, there could be one update you put on and that’s lock the next lesson button as long as one don’t complete the current session, with right answers. Yeah, some of here might say that it’s not needed but if it’s all about learning with right thing.

Take a look and you may see what I’m pointing out at....

3966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the cure of COVID or CBDC BOOST BITCOINs price this year 2020 on: May 04, 2020, 02:36:24 PM
It seems like we are co-relating the covid situation out of the way with bitcoin. It has been case throughout the past though, seen many threads which talks about the major event that is happening during the time and then they will connect the dots with bitcoin. There was booming time in 2017 when few countries were making moves with conference to "think" upon the use of BTC(Did not even promised its surety) then also everyone was like this is gonna pump the BTC in next few days. Some countries even published its acceptance, started installing ATM's then also the same case happened. However, to move BTC prices effectively it really needs heavy capital to be added in the cap. Some time back I was discussing the same on halving stuff, then its co-relation with price and now here comes the covid as well. But back in the market BTC is just moving as per the investment being made by peeps around.
3967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 2020 Bitcoin Halving: See what'll Definitely Happen. on: May 04, 2020, 01:33:34 PM
Well, Halving automatically reduce the reward of miners by 50%. The question is what'll happen to their revenue since mining is a very capital intensive business?
you don't have to worry about miners' revenue. when miners were getting paid twice the current amount of bitcoin for their work (ie. 25BTC) they were earning $6,250 per block but now with half that amount of bitcoin (ie. 12.5BTC) they are earning $108,000. even if we had 4 halvings tomorrow they are still earning more money than 4 years ago.

Excellent analysis. It is so logical and making all the concepts clear now. Since halving the price has to go above automatically or may stay stagnant, whatever may be the case, miners revenue rises potential due to rise in demand.

I gotta say, whats the case with future? Let us assume all of it mined then how they will generate the revenue? Would it be the fees Or still some sort of reward. Surely there wont be any BTC to be generated anymore, how the tech will work in that period is the real question though. Now we get that halving is just process on our way to until final BTC generated. But, what then after?
3968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.9 BTC I found but think it's untouchable.please give advice. on: May 04, 2020, 01:00:48 PM
So you've found the login details to a web wallet, but you don't remember which web wallet it is? In that case, the best you can do is search around for web wallets which were up and running in 2013 and see if the credentials match. A lot of web wallets from that time no longer exist though, so your chance of recovering your coins in that case is zero.

Perhaps you could post the format of the wallet number and ID number to the Web Wallets board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=222.0) and see if anyone recognizes them.

There comes big challenges. Though they found the wallets running back in 2013 then they have to be running today as well. I believe what he has is just half credentials with half info on service provider. What kind of password is it, whether its just login password to his wallet, or an account, or a application ?

Let us consider it as password to an account or application then there is still twist left over as they will need passkey or private key to access whats in there. That they don't have clearly. Or it could be just vice versa, they have found a password to wallet but not the account where the application is.

Im not sure if you guys are getting my point or not. Ex. If you simply access electrum then you need seed/private key to access it. Then you do set a password for it. The later one we use every time we access it.
So there needs to be at-least two different credentials to access those 2.9 BTC. Its twister one.
3969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in time of halving - a brief review. on: May 04, 2020, 11:05:23 AM
Why is halving so interesting to anyone involved in any way with Bitcoin? The reason is very simple, everything is really in the numbers I cited above, and the bottom line is that it would reduce the amount of new BTC while increasing or holding current demand could lead to an increase in price. That's exactly what happened in the previous two halvings, so most are reasonably hoping the same will happen a third time.

Do you really think that previous halving and conditions around it were the same as they are today? Lets not forget with what world is suffering right now. I dont want to go again over that covid stuff since we all know it.

It's sad reality that not everyone is enjoying halving this time as they are out of their job, businesses and much more. So here comes the twist, may be first everyone will prefer to stabilise their current situation and then they will invest money into BTC

Quote
it would reduce the amount of new BTC while increasing or holding current demand

There won't be demand if there is no need of it!

I believe there could be 50/50 chances it will burst like anything or stay on the steady growth curve.

GG to all. Had fun.
3971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From year 2099 till 2140 only one bitcoin will be mined... on: May 03, 2020, 02:35:52 PM
I believe bitcoin is all about freedom for the transaction which was one of the vision Satoshi had! It will only be a digital currency in the same manner as it is today. I mean thats the best guess we can have since there is another use of BTC

You can't have freedom without privacy, and you can't have privacy with Bitcoin.

LOLZ.

Thats not what I mean by that. I was talking about the stuff like amount of money you transacting, to whom you sending and from whom you taking. Its tax free money as long as you have it in BTC form. That is the kind of freedom I am talking here. May be you took literal meaning of word freedom.

At least in my country thats the freedom we must get since Taxation system is heavy. If you ever send huge amount to someone then it will reflect into your tax statement as pain in the back!  Tongue

Perhaps I have seen many people converting their money into BTC form just to have some assets safe and tax free. And no I am not going to explain further how they send it without knowing the Chartered's.

So that kinda freedom! Yay!
3972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From year 2099 till 2140 only one bitcoin will be mined... on: May 03, 2020, 01:36:19 PM
From 2099 till 2140 (when the last satoshis will be mined) there will only be one bitcoin mined. By the end of the century, supply is virtually fixed and limited to the maximum of 21 million. For the following forty years, miners will be mining only one bitcoin...

With most transactions (and most tx fees) being forced onto second layers, it will be interesting to see how this impacts miner incentive and their desire to secure the blockchain.

My best guess is that by that time, Bitcoin will have become a minority player in the space due to its inability to evolve.

I believe bitcoin is all about freedom for the transaction which was one of the vision Satoshi had! It will only be a digital currency in the same manner as it is today. I mean thats the best guess we can have since there is another use of BTC

Within this years, bitcoin may have a significant price or no existence. Because if the price isn't too high, miners will not be there. And if bitcoin exists till then that one bitcoin will be more expensive than anyone can imagine.
My best guess is that by that time, Bitcoin will have become a minority player in the space due to its inability to evolve.
We are talking about 100 years advance and it's very possible that at that time, bitcoin will even not be existed   Grin

You say so. But the thing is it might just get more popular over the time considering its value will grow exponential after each halving occurs.

As soon as we (those who are alive) will enter the dorm of 2099+ will see drastic rise in the prices of BTC

This people will consider throughout the 2050's or so and may consider it as best safe to put their money.

Don't forget 100 years from now population will grow as well and considering even 10-20% of them get into bitcoin business (since they have to grow first so lets consider 10% make it)then it will also push the BTC economy further ahead.

Bitcoin will have more popularity after couple of decades than it has today.

Out of the Box: You never know your grand children might just be paying with BTC everywhere around the world and it is the only currency of whole world.
Who knows every nation accepts it as unified currency just to synch up everyone, every banking sector etc.  Cheesy

**Endless possibilities are there. Miners might get lucky one since they will enjoy handsome fees out these worldwide transactions.

Congrats to all the winners and specially to our grand winner Iv4n!

Big thanks to efialtis and yahoo for organizing this series.

See you guys in the next one. Hopefully all the familiar faces will stay and we will manage to recruit some fresh blood as well.

Congrats to all winners.

Also, I am excited about the today's tournament as well. Since our well wishers has given us one more chance to try our luck out. Very kind of efialtis to share the password three days prior to event.

I guess all the runner ups will be enjoying today's event since it's whole new chance for grabbing a rank and also it's completely free!

See you guys at table.

I wish I will see below hands often in my hand!   Tongue

3974  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Build cryptocurrency exchange on: May 03, 2020, 08:03:00 AM
I going to build a cryptocurrency exchange, i hope i can looking for some programer for my project. PM me if you are interested.
We are a Blockchain company with 10 developers in Vietnam. We can help you build exchange with affordable price. If you are interested, pls contact us via telegram @huvo114

Is your "company" willing to work for tokens or a percentage of the company?  I believe that is all the OP will be offering...

They should publish their company in a proper way though. I mean if you are team of 10 then it has to be good start up in the blockchain market. What are your previous projects and have you worked on this forum for someone?

Im sure you must be having a one pager portfolio or something so that one can see in depth what you can do.

@OP You shall make intense background verification before getting job done from random company.

Would be happy to see great programmers around the forum. Just making awareness!  Cheesy
3975  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitraiser | Darknet site for money raising on: May 03, 2020, 07:16:13 AM
I am not sure about the site yet since I am not able to access it at all.

Each time I click on the site link provided in the OP, I get an error. As you can see in the picture down below.

Hi. I'm running a BTC raising site called bitraiser.
It can be used, for example, to reimburse the cost for the purchase of digital good or do something that can be proofed online and get paid.
Here's how it works:

Quote from: bitraiser
1. You create a money pool describing the purpose you need money and what contributors will get in return.
2. Users make their contributions if they interested.
3. You do what you promised, share results and close your money pool.
4. Contributors vote and if their votes are good, you get the money.

Please check the site and share your thoughts. Thank you.

However looking at the terms posted here I have some doubts.

What is the escrow to manage all fundings and not to loose the money contributed to something?
May be the answers on the site but since I am unable to access it, please enlighten me.  Cheesy

Quote
3. You do what you promised, share results and close your money pool.

What if they don't fullfill their promise and I end up loosing my money or whatever they were supposed to give me in exchange?
3976  Other / Meta / Re: Trust on: May 03, 2020, 05:29:53 AM
Is it OK to leave trust on someone's account as a "note to myself" even if I have never had any interaction with that user?

Im not sure what he exactly wants with that but may be OP just wants to remind himself about that person in a handy way? Is this came to anyone's mind up there?

Im pretty sure he had seen trust feedback page with explanatory text and not to get confused with anything.

Not just that, forum does allow advance option of Adding Flags if his criteria is not mentioned.

I think these are enough options for him.

I am still reading about it and taking out the crunches to publish here. With the discussion you made, I had to go more deeper, and it's not easy.

if you want to go deeper you first have to start by looking around to find where the hash functions are actually used in a cryptocurrency such as bitcoin (or if you are looking at altcoins see what the differences are). off the top of my head there are 6 places where hash functions are used:
1. creating transaction IDs or block hashes
2. proof of work which in bitcoin is the same as block hash
3. merkle tree creation
4. during signing to create the 256-bit integer `e`
5. scripts which mostly use HASH160 (legacy addresses and P2WPKH) but SHA256 (P2WSH addresses) is also used. other hash functions such as SHA1, HASH256 and RIPEMD160 can also be used in scripts
6. creating checksums (used in legacy address creation, P2P network messages,...)

It's a big area to learn. I am already done with point no. 1 and 3 of yours. I will see how it connects with the whole picture.

Its interesting and complex for me at the same time.

Also while studying the SHA's, one question struck on my mind for which I have already worked up some simple math. I would be publishing it as different thread so that we can keep this one focused on different blockchain aspects.

For the heads up :

Are all possible SHA's combination limited ? If Yes, has anyone already counted the number?

In addition to this I worked up one excel to try out all the combinations and got one number.

But before that I need to know whether its limited number or there is no limit?
3979  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bit-Get : Bitcoin Widget on: May 02, 2020, 01:17:38 PM
Interesting application. I guess I know where we can use this one. May be for trading BTC on multiple platforms with its difference in the prices!

I mean I have always counted on that type of trading since Im from India where the rate in local currency is pretty high as compared to other countries. So i can just buy from one exchanger and sell it to local exchanger and getting that Tipback from the trade.

It works when done on larger amounts.

However, this one has got point actually, . .

It is a good idea to get notifications when certain conditions are met, but what is the benefit of that? If it is not possible to take action.
 - For example, when a person is at work, sleeping, or exercising daily activities.

Is there any way to execute some orders? It would make sense to execute orders and give notifications "if the user wants to modify when the alert occurs."
How do you land to earn money? Everything is free.
I watched the promotional video on the site, there are no videos explaining how the application works?
No F.A.Q, about it,....etc

Since i can use it for comparison purpose then lets say i dont have requirement like this dude has. However, I will still need pop notification or alert sound something where i can put four to five exchanger in comparison and wait for the changes!!
3980  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain - Understanding it step by step. on: May 01, 2020, 05:06:25 PM
in other cryptocurrencies like litecoin for example is it used scrypt algorithm to solve it's hash in each transaction made that are found in each blocks in the blockchain for bitcoin.

this is wrong. litecoin is a copy of bitcoin with very little number of changes. that means SHA256 (double like bitcoin) is also used everywhere for litecoin including transaction hashes (txid), block hashes (hash of the header that is used in any block header), generation of sighash and in their address generation (RIPEMD160 of SHA256).
the only place where double SHA256 is not used in LTC is for proof of work algorithm. instead it uses scrypt in a failed attempt to make it ASIC resistant.

Let us just wait for my next chapter.

When i will publish it we will make sure we come up with the right thing.  Cheesy

I am still reading about it and taking out the crunches to publish here. With the discussion you made, I had to go more deeper, and it's not easy.
