3983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have f.. up with margin trading on: April 30, 2020, 10:59:36 AM
That is very unfortunate to loose that kind of money man.

There is no way to get that much money without risking on a hard bet. You may try out some gambling games, but again as the name suggest you will be gambling. One more risk!!

If i were you then i would have stopped already at 500 USD loss.

With what money you have right now, i would just hold it and gain some 20-30% after bitcoin halving, if price rise occurs.

You have to loose nothing so just hold until and after 18th May.

@Royse777 Astounding initiative you have taken by yourself. I'm glad to see how an help is going out from all over through a forum and best part is the helper and the delivery guy both are unknown to each other. Just amazing.

God bless you guys. Keep up the great project.
3985  Other / Meta / Re: Top reporters! on: April 30, 2020, 05:17:38 AM
Oh man... 87%

I clearly had no clue about forum rules back then. I'm shocked I didn't get banned for something or other.

I don't think your accuracy matters when you are reporting.

I am pretty sure you might have read the instruction line while reporting any thread which says :
Quote
Do not worry about your accuracy too much; one accurate report is worth many inaccurate reports.

The thing is at least you are taking an effort to report to moderators. For that matter 87% is amazing. No one will ban you for that.
3986  Economy / Services / Re: Davinci's Gold Casino Signature & Avatar Campaign(FULL) on: April 28, 2020, 03:56:31 AM
Payments have been sent to those who qualified, this campaign is now over. You may remove your sigs and look for other opportunities.

Thank you @yahoo62278 for the payment. You always do the campaigns very smoothly.  Cheesy
3987  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: April 27, 2020, 04:42:04 PM
Why panic sell? If you truly believe in bitcoin then you know that bitcoin will rise above the current market price fairly fast. No reason to sell everything and take a loss. I sell a little here and there when I need to pay a bill or something, but in no way would I just cash out below 6k.

This is cool strategy from the legend person. Totally agree. Why to sell unnecessary if you dont really need the money right away. If you are keeping bitcoin as second line income source (even first) then you should just hold it and look for the bitcoin rise upwards.

I like the idea of taking out only that much part which is "really" needed to spend. I think everyone should make this as an habit so that we can end up with profits later on.  Cheesy
3988  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: April 27, 2020, 02:03:23 PM
According to conspiracy theory, Is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments to gain financial strength in the modern world?

And they did it by banning it all over the Asian countries and some European countries ? I'm sure there is no such conspiracy theory. In fact I'm not sure how this topic even come up here middle of no where when bitcoin has passed out its glorious 10 years.  Cheesy

May be you took a wrong turn and stuck into entangled theory of government.

There is paper published by Satoshi Nakomoto. May be I don't need to explain anything more about it.
3989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ProjectS Review, before your investment in 2020 year on: April 27, 2020, 02:35:58 AM
GitHub activities can reveal the potential of a project or the project's disadvantages, team having linkedin and Twitter doesn't mean they are real, many fake profiles exist on linkedin and Twitter, beware of that from now on

Yee, GitHub is kinda potential source to identify the project and it's live activity. Engagement of peers into the project can also reveal about its priority and potential.

However, we still can't rely 100% on it, they are just projects being coded and may end up as failure.

So again, the fate of any altcoin relays on its long journey and people's choice of investing in it.
3990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading psychology on: April 26, 2020, 06:19:27 PM
The problem of fear is solved by controlling decision-making based on learning and repetition. Therefore, the more information and the more frequent transactions, the less the effect of fear.

Yes, the fear can be overcome with the knowledge. That's why people in share market and stocks keep updating themselves with tips and information that is obtained around the globe.

In fact the market moves according to the surroundings. Mostly people go in blind and think that crypto market is just volatile, it keeps going up and down and may be they can just slip in some money and get back more. Lolz.

It doesn't work like that.
3991  Other / Archival / Re: Betnomi 🏆 Truly Decentralized Betting/Gambling Platform 🏆 on: April 26, 2020, 01:47:34 PM
Im grateful to see such site around. I don't know why these guys went into bad reviews first but ignoring the history I would like to say they do have got amazing site.

Since the time I participated in their review campaign I have started to play around it. This is freakishly addictive game and it's like  routine now to play it everyday.

My Mantra for success on this site is:- Control your mind and how much money you wagering here. There is 100% winning in each roll and all you have to do is control yourself and not to have greed for huge winning.

Initially i did try to grab big hands, looking at those 1000 and 2500x multipliers but thats 10-12 chances in 24 hours as per my study. So better back off the jackpot stuff.  Smiley

Yes, UI is just amazing and deposit, withdrawals do work just fine.
3992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has hindered Bitcoin from getting mainstream adoption? on: April 26, 2020, 01:26:44 PM
This week, I shared the findings of my report that investigated the terms and conditions of 100 crypto exchanges. Watch the full video here (5 minutes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKtWoCZR5Vw&feature=emb_title

Good video.

Restricted locations is not a big problem I guess to hinder the use of Bitcoin I guess.
You have also mentioned regarding jurisdiction to comply which is also secondary thing if anyone with bitcoin in their nerves want to make it upto the market.

Im saying these things doesnt matter because until last year country like India had full ban on the Crypto currencies whereas people still used to trade hundreds of million dollar throughout country.

Did that hamper the use of it?  No.

Let's just take this year's example, India has surprisingly accepted the Bitcoin and its legal in the country.

Did that hamper the use of it? Again. No.

Considering the % of people still on those 48% side (no location restriction), I believe it would be grand number since most of the countries that fall under them are largely populated.

Access to internet is one of the concern, but not anymore. It's almost everywhere now.

The study is well posed, but I still believe bitcoin is in good health and not much hindered.
3993  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain - Understanding it step by step. on: April 26, 2020, 12:15:34 PM

OK. Noted. I will be merging both the suggestions above. Since I the targeted audience was more or less new comers I tried to putforth it in simple way.
But surely it's always welcoming add more to the knowledge base.

I will come up with little different way to link all the suggestions and also keep up the above article as it is.

Thanks for the heads up mate. I will surely refer this one.
What I said above does apply here for target audience, so i have written simplest form of the solution for this too. But will connect it logically with this article too.

Chapter-I: BLOCKCHAIN - a step by step guide.

Blockchain Technology: - Most commonly it is defined as a decentralized, distributed ledger that records the source of digital assets.
"blockchain technology" usually refers to the cryptocurrency technology. otherwise if (like your title) you want to describe "blockchain" it is simply a "chain of blocks" as the name suggests. it has nothing to do with being decentralized or distributed and there is no "digital asset" involved in it.

Quote
First of all, in easy words it’s an alpha-numeric code.
a very bad definition because you are describing the representation not what the hash does.

Quote
Notice that I have just changed the “n” alphabet in the second sentence and thus it has given a completely different hash
you may want to mention that this characteristic is called: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avalanche_effect

Quote
Most important are SHA-2 and SHA-3. In this, you might notice that there is a number followed by the name SHA, those are the nominators of size of the hash.
the numbers after the term "SHA" is the version of the algorithm. SHA-1 being version 1 of the algorithm and SHA-2 and SHA-3 the version 2 and 3 respectively. the other number that is put after that indicates the size. for example SHA3-256 is the version 3 secure hash algorithm (keccak) that returns a fixed length result of 256-bit.

**Suggest the right board if this one is not correct
beginners and help.

Amazing.

Each time I read it there are new things pop up.
Thanks for the heads up. I will keep reading and evolving the articles. At the end I am planning to make everything into sharable PDF file.
I will note down your suggestions.

That is far descriptive. I will update it too.

These articles and discussion like this will eventually help newbies. I hope so!  Smiley

3996  Other / Beginners & Help / Blockchain - Understanding it step by step. on: April 26, 2020, 04:41:36 AM
Hello Folks!
I have started going through blockchain technology and its core working. Since I am in the learning phase, I would like to publish my readings inhere which would be useful for the fellow readers!

Chapter-I: BLOCKCHAIN - a step by step guide.

Blockchain Technology: - Most commonly it is defined as a decentralized, distributed ledger that records the source of digital assets.
Now this definition is very common but could be complex for new people to understand in one go.
So here is lighter version of the same:

Let us break down the Block-Chain word and understand it.

Block: It basically contains the digital information that originated from the digital source with some input.

Chain: On border scope this is the place where data is stored, a public ledger! i.e. Public database.  The chain formed by addition of above blocks one after another. An imaginary chain of blocks would look like something as shown in the below image.

Until now we went through the Blockchain in a border sense. However in the process we have come across different terminology that indeed need to be understood for core learnings. For example, Hash, Genesis block, Digital Signature. Also some of the terms that we will learn furthermore would include Nonce, Nodes, Hash Functions (different types of SHA’s), Merkle Tree & Root etc.

What is Hash?

First of all, in easy words it’s an alpha-numeric code. It is of fixed length based on the type of hash function. For example, a SHA-256 will have 64 characters. It will have A-Z or 0-9 characters in its every space from 1st to 64th characters.

Thus, it is a process of generating fixed size output from an input of variable size. This is achieved through a mathematical expression known as Hash Formula. For input validation output has to be the same length all the time to have resistance. Moreover, a useful hash always gives output with different characters.

For example: SHA-256 for so98nn is BitcoinTalk user is as follows:

Code:
814a31e327932a759de8ceae6861544401af2cbdf70310cc3898a45fcedba98e

In the above example, sentence “so98nn is BitcoinTalk user” is an Input given while the later is Hash code generated from it. This is unique code and there is a way to generate different code for the same sentence above. However, if you change any single character of the sentence then the whole Hashcode will be different.

For example: SHA-256 for so98nn in BitcoinTalk user is as follows:

Code:
b87b6e2099b132fe873aeec15c34cb2ee4e51da3ed7adf65ca46e513a285c577

Notice that I have just changed the “n” alphabet in the second sentence and thus it has given a completely different hash as compared to the original one. This is why it becomes more unique and integrity of data is maintained with such a complex code generation system.

Create your own Or verify above Hash here :
Code:
https://emn178.github.io/online-tools/sha256.html

Most important are SHA-2 and SHA-3. In this, you might notice that there is a number followed by the name SHA, those are the nominators of size of the hash. That means, if I say it's SHA-256 then, 256 is bite size for that hash. Thus, it can’t have more size Or lesser than that.

There could be different types of hash functions as follows:

1) Secure Hashing Algorithm (SHA)
2) RACE Integrity Primitives Evaluation Message Digest (RIPEMD)
3) Message Digest Algorithm-5 (MD-5)
4) BLAKE2

Since the most common hash function that we are using in the world of bitcoin is SHA-2, we should know that there are sub-types such as SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, SHA-512/224, and SHA-512/256.

* I will continue the rest of the learnings afterwards . . .
**Suggest the right board if this one is not correct

3997  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk SwC Championship Poker Series(50 mBtc added by SwC) on: April 26, 2020, 02:26:37 AM
Awful cards today, awful calls and an early exit which was to be expected. At least i had a good luck on some of my opponents for the championship game.

The race for the final three spots will be brutal, so tight. I'm glad i can just chill, observe others, and take some final notes without stressing much.

Congrats to Hhampuz for winning game #7!

Grin Yeah welcome to the runner up club now. You gotta say the leaderboard is smooth in playing their tricks.

I am big fan of trofo actually. I have observed him sucking up huge stakes though others will have big cards. He sometimes do it by increasing his chips, and thriving out everyone thinking that he has got flush, straight flush something like that.

I don't know, but this has happened surely. He has made me to Fold my cards many times even if i had big hand.  Tongue Tongue
3998  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: btcclicks rent refs worth it? on: April 26, 2020, 02:21:37 AM
But why sites like NeoBux and Scarlet CLicks have very active members on there forum and like crazy money over the time!

There might be some sites which are actually ponzi but over the time some of then are still great way of earning.

Good luck earning "crazy money" on such platforms. Even if I was a Venezuelan there's no way I'd call it a "great way of earning". There are so much ways of making money online from blogging to eCommerce to gigs and people end up with these stuff??

I don't think that is the case with third world countries. When a dollar is worth two digit currency in other countries then hell its great profit for them. Whether its someone from US or someone from asian countries both of them have to invest same amount of money into it.

However, things will turn upside down when it comes to getting the money back. So even 10-20 bucks over what they invested is as equal as having a weeks signature campaign earning on this forum.

Its just matter of what are our expectations. I mean there is no thing as "Get Quick Rich". So it would be still fine to have one of the source.

ok guys, thx for the opinions... i guess i shouldn't rent refs then Wink
im not very good with crypto

COVID-19 Fundraiser ROUND 5 Begins at 22:30 UTC

So far, we have been able to donate 0.87 BTC to support healthcare workers in the first 4 rounds.

Bring your best game forward between 22:30 - 01:30 UTC on Saturday, 25th April, and support the health workers win against COVID-19.

Let's make the #ThankYouHealthWorkers campaign a success!

This campaign is seriously amazing. Its good to see how help is surging through various sources to the health care industries. Freebitco has done best work with such contribution. Off course hats off to every user of freebitco.

Great to see bitcoin is helping out the real world. Who would have thought of it ? Satoshi must have had surprised to see this. Cool man. Keep it up.

@Owner

Would this work ?

You can donate one free roll of each member, lets say rolled at 12:00 Hrs or any other specific time. May be 20:19 Hrs. (Covid2019). You just deduct this amount from the account at that time and donate it for the cause.

Since anyway it will be given to users, rather you can donate it. Just a free roll amount of each user, which will sum up as big one.

Interesting thread. It will surely help new comers and also more or less existing users since these are hidden boards.

Since this could be most viewed thread you can also add link to Latest Bitcoin Core release. I know its in the top of page but still I have seen threads asking for the links to download. Just to highlight we can have it.

By the way, the color bands were looking beautified and organised, I'm not sure why you removed them ?
