The BitcoinTalk forum as it grows; seems to have more and more newbie's / bumpers around it. This is causing oldest posts to get an attention for no reason. Since, it is out of our control where one can post; we can at least look for the locking of such posts immediately which are getting commented even when they are from few years ago and are useless in the current situation. As we can think these posts are being commented on purpose (sigs, bounties posting, newbies unaware, etc.). To overcome at least viral posts I believe we can help out mod's to look after this thread and take the necessary action. It is completely fine if such attention is not needed, guidance would be welcomed. Note : I am only calling for the Posts which have been recently commented on and are history by this time!!**Focusing on the boards which are majorly bumped for posting counts. Any suggestions for improvement are eagerly awaited. I will update the Status of each thread and any posts that are getting bumped for shit stuff every week. COVID-19 - 19 K (Recent update)  These pandemics were from the era when there was not much of a medical developments and no technology which could have been used to cure the diseases very quickly.
Now, looking at the current situation though we have advanced tech field with huge minds around the globe, we have far greater chances to stop the deadly virus from overtaking the world. Still we are in the situation where the economic crisis on the outbreak and that too on global level.
Why this situation has occurred ?
Why would we go into such stage where tech and science being at its best we are not able to tackle simple industrialisation around us?
In the era of Information Technology where everything (almost) today is handled by Artificial Intelligence (Cloud computing, Transactions, Banking, Storage, Search engines, etc. you name it).
One can easily use least man power to run a team of dozens with such high power and YET we are on the verge of weak economy.
Why so ?

With the society collapsing , I fear for a common man , I fear for the families who were already living on the edge and now without any jobs , without any money , they are surviving on the brink .
Yes the government is distributing food for the poor , they are doing whatever they can , but it is not enough .
Just like , we are able to transfer our education system , all online in a matter of days , why are they not doing the same for most of the offices ?
Even at the time of the crisis , corruption still can be seen , when a country which is considered the most powerful , the US , when the people cannot trust the president itself , who can they trust at that time ?
I do know that people engaged in cryptocurrencies are way ahead of the time, so do you guys think there is a way by which jobs can be provided to the needy because we all know that a vaccine is 12-18 months away .
Things will take a lot of time to be normal , till then how will the economy survive?
Yeah, the crisis and all, its coming all over again. Even the International bodies are saying we have already entered into the economic crisis and dawn of business shut is on the way. America and Europe's stock market crashed but the China's stock market did not? Why the hell it didn't crash amidst the emergence they are having with the virus? Are they prepared for this?

There is a massive hospital in China that was built in only 3 days, come on man it's unbelievable cause they already know how these virus would impact the world, there are lots of hospital in China that can actually handle all the several patients that time. Are they prepared for this?

Why Beijing was not hit destructively? given that there are 14 days of the virus to begin showing symptoms, someone could've been traveled from Wuhan to Beijing at that time period.
The news says it all, China had strategy of creating economic crisis in the world while overcoming its own country. There is already lawsuit against the China amounting to $20 trillion. It has already sold $ 436 million COVID19 testing kit to Spain thus starting its first sell with it. Moreover it was not even genuine kit and came out as faulty stuff. Hello Bitcointalker's ! Looking at the increased volatility of Bitcoin market; possibly due to nearing halving one can grab an opportunity to earn tones of money from trading. Please refer to the attached image for lucid imagination. The strategy might look like Day trading or quick buy-sell or whatever you call but surely this can be followed until halving comes close. Everyday, without fail you start the trading and observe the BUY POINTS and also INCREASE BUY VALUE POINT. Buy point would be normal drop in the value of BTC as compared to everyday steady line while on the other hand Increase buy value point would be the one followed right after huge spike and then drop in value. This last one would put huge marginal difference thats why one can increase the amount of buying. Off course a sell would be followed each time BTC spikes in value. Let's not touch the trade when it is having steady lines. Inference : This shall be followed everyday from now, at least for few times a day until halving. Conclusion : Halving might be big factor in creating systematic trade plan as mentioned about since it is giving ups-downs from few days. The turbulence might just rise more giving more sound idea on how to use above technique.  |

If the only reason for buying Bitcoin is that the next halving will lead to some gains, I hope you will take some time to think again about your investing. Prices may not rise after halving, and you may lose your money, so it is better to develop a strategy before investing.
Precisely, if your only reason to buy now is the upcoming halving then might as well check the current situation since it might affect on what is going ahead. Last year, the speculation was a pure positive and exaggeratedly said by those who are in power but now it seems like they are very silent. Although the market will possibly to come up soon then best buying time is at now, but if bitcoin is not going be pumped after halving then it's done. I dont think there is any direct effect of current situation on the bitcoin price. The market completely looks stable to me even when it had one quite a bad jerk in the last week. Halving at block 630000 which is gonna be third halving will surely result in huge price demand. The obvious reason for that would be less number of bitcoins that would be generated by the network and demand as usual would be high due to "halving excitement" to the community. Believe me the chart says it all!  There are higher chances of BTC price hiking. Its great way to look at it as investment "Chance" |

It is but obvious that people gonna put more topics regarding it as we are under lockdown and we have nothing on our mind.

The only solution I see here is to make rules more stringent against what to be posted and where!
Tell the moderators to PIN a topic regarding Covid-19 stating that the topics will be removed if they are not worthy OR it is duty of OP to create self-moderated topic so that they can control whats being posted.

There is no cure on the corona yet, and even if there comes any medication then also it will take 6 months to 10 months to immunise every dam human being around the globe. Even if single person is left out then he will spread the stuff one more time. Also, don't forget it is viral disease which means those who have got already infected cant be cured!! They will be contagon for the others and threat remains (may be at lower rate but it stays!) If Trump makes mistake of opening USA again so quickly then half of the population is gonna die. I'm the most unluckiest person, because I brought 0.5 Bitcoin in 2017 3rd quarter and sold it in 2018 before it is going to down fall. I have converted all my Stellars in to Ripple, Stellars and trax coins. But till now I could not sell them due to that they are in very low position. If ince again I have chance to sell them in price rice in 2020 I may be very happy. But no hope it is according to my fate.
That went as very bad trade. You bought bitcoin around $4,400 to $5K USD. However after that lot of fluctuations came into effect and made the prices go spike a lot. You might have sold it at wrong price. If you check the historical charts then we have gone as high as 9,500 USD. Holding would have been better option (off-course in BTC form). Other shitcoins are really not usable when it comes to the holding. You better convert it into the BTC but it has to be at its worst.  So wait for it, and convert and hold. Thats the rule for ya!! |

As you can remember when the virus spread at the beginning BTC price sharply reaching $9,439 on January 28, 2019, and the markets follow the BTC as always many crypto markets rose up, that means coronavirus favor CryptoMarkets first,
But what makes Bitcoin price go down
As the spread continue people start to panic with the disease not Btc, thinking of many Negatives and some people exchange their Crypto to friendly fiat money so they can cover some emergency staff buys extra food, drinks, masks, etc, the simple view is that many sell result to cheapest sell which automatic kill the prices of an Assets.
Exactly. I am not sure how this thing is going to be in the future. All the countries have shut off their business doors, borders and to the level of colonies everything is stopped. Its just about the time when healthcare industries will be suffered too and thus the corona virus will overload the whole world. I am dam sure about one thing, Bitcoin wont matter at that time and thus its gonna go down a lot as people will have to save for their doomsday! So bitcoin is really secondary thing and no one has predicted the future of Corona Virus. It can seriously disturb the whole Humanity. |
