1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be possible to develop crypto address validation technology? on: August 26, 2020, 01:54:22 PM
Thousands of coins worth $$$$ had been lost due this kind of user's mistake at least software/wallet developers build for somewhat user friendly that will help to avoid this if possible.
1622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold at $12,000 After 2 Years HODLing on: August 25, 2020, 11:13:25 PM
If it's true, then that would be super worth it if s/he bought those on $3k range and sold for todate price. Anyhow seems btc still good at 11kish, so nothing to worry of this dump.
1623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Energix's bitcoin mining farm in Kazakhstan with 50k mining rigs on: August 24, 2020, 11:59:41 PM
This means that the more Bitcoin mining facilities the faster Bitcoin transactions have.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. It just means that more miners the higher difficulty it will become, higher hash rates, and the network will be more secure than before from any attacks.
1624  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin wallet Address changed after Importing private key to Android Wallet on: August 24, 2020, 11:12:11 PM
Its because the imtoken wallet only generate segwit wallet address due to bitaddress generates a wif compressed private key.

So, is there any possibility for the wallet address to work together? I mean. If I send btc to the legacy address, can I find it in the segwit address?
Basically you cannot, but technically speaking yes and you can use mycelium wallet to check that, they have that feature about what you ask.
1625  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Archer v. Coinbase "Not your keys, Not your coins" on: August 23, 2020, 11:58:01 PM
I think that it's shady that they kept his BTG because we don't know if those coins were or weren't sold by coinbase. It would be free money for the company if they were to take those coins at any point and sell them without telling their clients. We're talking about millions of USD here not just this guy's coins.
Its clearly say that coinbase won't support the fork coin before the fork takes place, if he send his bitcoin out of coinbase in the first place this wouldn't happen.
1626  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-08-23]"Not your keys; not your coins".....? on: August 23, 2020, 11:10:46 PM
Well, well, as far as I know every platform announce before the hard fork takes place whether the platform will support it or not, so he should do with his coin
1627  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Top CEX racing to list the most DEFI tokens on: August 23, 2020, 09:22:12 PM
Soon as there's a hype ever exchange will follow the trend, same from ICO to IEO, then delist tokens soon as they don't make profit from it, simple.
1628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Google Opens The Door To Mass Cryptocurrency Adoption on: August 23, 2020, 08:20:45 PM
As an existing digital wallet and an online payment system, chances of them implementing cryptocurrency on their system is high.

Look square cash, soon VISA and paypal, and now google, these are the big institutions who wants to adopt this new normal. So let just wait others to do their first step.
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoins before the upcoming banking crisis states author of Rich Dad Poor D on: August 23, 2020, 08:09:36 PM
Its not about promoting and shilling to get what he wants, its about awareness to people for the monetary systems such USD is now grumbling and is crashing.
1630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is it when the year will be over there are always talk about the price on: August 23, 2020, 07:40:31 PM
I have seen a lot of threads created about predictions and hype about the price of Bitcoin before the end of the year, why people are doing this there seems to be so many hype and predictions, is this people or holders wants to sell their bags.
Its not all about bitcoin, every human has free will to talk anything when year is about to end, sample like predicting celebrity's life for next year, business man's business next year,  even you if you somewhat care for yourself you have a little question for what you will become next year and etc.

And the most common thing because of volatility increases when the years about to end, people lots of talks about it in the sense that they will ask you to share opinion/predictions as well.
1631  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam report Coinbase.com on: August 23, 2020, 12:00:40 PM
That's unfortunate, this case is a common mistake whatever wallet/exchange a user used. Though there are some instances that exchanges resolve such issue.
But what I observed is they only do that if the money is huge enough for them to take action like binance.

It takes time for them to recover your funds due security reasons. Most exchange writes their terms about this, and most of them doesn't care, it just like a donation for them.
But some exchange charge fees to recover and resolve such mistake.
Some charge a fixed fee such Bittrex and some charge a percentage of the total fund wrongly sent such coinexchange.

Hope things will be alright for you soon regarding this.
1632  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockonomics. Is it trustworthy? on: August 22, 2020, 11:58:55 PM
What if our nano ledger is lost or damaged? Can we still back up our lost assets on the hardware wallet? or should we surrender? I've been in crypto for years, but haven't used a hardware wallet lol. Because I'm the type to be careless when handling small items.
As long as you have a backup of its seed (24 word recovery phrase) nothing to worry, you can import it to electrum and use desktop wallet if and only if your hardware wallet broke or lost.
1633  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: UnionBank SMS phishing scam alert! on: August 22, 2020, 10:43:37 PM
How unfortunate.

Pero the most stupid thing na ginawa ng scammer is mag send using credentials niya which is andun sa post, talagabg ma ttrace siya with the coordination ni coins.ph which is the receiver nung transfer galing sa UB acount ng biktima.
1634  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockonomics. Is it trustworthy? on: August 22, 2020, 10:15:45 PM
Regarding the payment gateway, I stumbled across this page which is why I thought there might also be an escrow service.
https://www.blockonomics.co/views/merchant_reviews.html?merchant_emailid=aW5mb3JtYWdlZWtzcHJvLnNob3BAZ21haWwuY29t

Could this be an indication of customers leaving reviews of vendors using Blockonomics?
That sounds like a warning to everyone users/buyers that people should be wary to any sellers that uses blockonomics payment gateway or do any transaction in bitcoin as bitcoin isn't reversible, once you sent the funds, its final and you can get it back.

Perhaps it is integrated with the payment gateway. The vendor doesn't seem to be able to prevent customers from leaving bad reviews.
Yes, its normal thing but should be limited to users who bought  the items/products.
1635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (or others) for the Adult Industry? on: August 22, 2020, 06:00:51 PM
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to point me to any active adult industry projects that I might check out. Yes, it's really me, feel free to reach out on any platform I use.
You can check this list of active adult crypto projects provided by cryptoslate including SpankChain and MODEL-X-coin. But most of this project seems not active anymore and it seems SpankChain is the only active adult crypto project.
1636  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Freewallet.org - "missing" tokens for 1.5 months on: August 22, 2020, 05:19:14 PM
In the meantime, if anyone's curious as to the general state of Freewallet's customer service, check out the 1 star thread on Trustpilot UK! https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/freewallet.org?languages=en&stars=1  Grin
Zero-star rating would fit for them with their shady service.

When did their CS last reply to your email? Try to message them everyday, post on their social media pages
1637  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockonomics. Is it trustworthy? on: August 22, 2020, 05:02:00 PM
I'm using them for email notification of my funds with my ledger nano s since 2018.

Never heard about the escrow thing from them but they work as a payment gateway for cryptocurrency mainly for bitcoin.
1638  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Promoting obvious XRP giveaway scam in the forum. on: August 22, 2020, 01:51:04 PM
Reported to moderators since he/she is promoting phishing links.
I bet its not a phishing link since there's no legitimate website s/he's cloning for that giveaway, rather its an obvious scam.

Flag supported.
1639  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: A fake Bustabit website on: August 22, 2020, 10:30:43 AM
You can submit a report to its registrar as what I did, namecheap, so that this clone website will be suspended.

Submit a ticket > Abuse report > Fraud / Phishing

You can report any clone websites to its registrar coz its against their TOS.
