1221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never replace fiat cash. on: December 12, 2020, 12:56:20 AM
A coin everyone mints at the same rate will.  It will also replace bitcoin and all of the shitcoins.

Mark my words.

Bitcoin runs off the fumes of fiat.
An altcoin can replace bitcoin, that's possible. Only if it will be accepted by most in this community and other industry accepting payments, its okay, no big deal.

Now if you're talking about some existing altcoin that will replace bitcoin, no there's no chance even ethereum or any in the top 10 in cmc. I'm talking here about the hashrate, every alt besides bitcoin, which cannot beat bitcoin in terms of hashrates as for the moment and transactions except eth since it has lots of shit coin integrating on its blockchain.
1222  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Funds in my coinbase vault stuck for very long time on: December 12, 2020, 12:42:28 AM
Coinbase is supposed to respond every support ticket raised right? But they starts to ignore it some of them especially it can find the solution only if support staffs gets into that issue and resolve on behalf of the customer?
They supposed to do it, but they don't respond to some of them base on other who experienced it. Since it still pandemic companies with CS are most affected with limited and with staff.
I suggest keeping them updated at least once every three-four days until some person in charge responds not just an auto-reply.
1223  Economy / Exchanges / Re: letmecoin.com - anyone heard of them? on: December 11, 2020, 05:23:05 PM
Scam or legit, this exchange seems like new, how can you trust a new exchange with your fund in the very first place? Even cmc can't recognize that site. So I'll suggest anyone to avoid that exchange.

https://xn--ledr-xva5e.com/ledger-live/download/
This is the same domain name with the download link in the email I received today, and this is the first time I received an email with the email address I used to purchase in ledger years ago.

The email used was
Code:
support@legderlive.io

Here's the domain on the download link in the email same as quoted above

1226  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase down again ( 10/12/20 ) on: December 10, 2020, 04:44:57 AM
Not new, if you're a regular user of this exchange, you should be used to it. Or else time to move somewhere else, there are lots of alternatives depends on your needs and what you have, location, resources such as personal documents for KYC if you're willing to.

1229  Other / Meta / Re: Small bug with the highlighting of forum subjects/thread titles on: December 09, 2020, 06:32:30 PM
If you really never clicked the other thread (accidentally or consciously), then it's I guess that's really a bug. I never experienced such before though.

Or maybe you have the side mouse buttons the forward and backward and you accidentally clicked the thread "ollard's kangaroo ECDLP solved", then you just go back to the mainboard and eventually clicked the "setting up full bitcoin node". Ah, I guess this isn't the case.
1230  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I discovered I have my 2013 wallet.dat file but the file is encrypted on: December 09, 2020, 06:15:34 PM
I currently have a full node on my PC, is it okay if I overwrite the old wallet.dat file with the new one? Will this screw everything up? The wallet.dat is surely encrypted though, I will be giving updates on the thread.
If the existing .dat file is important to you, you can make a copy of it and paste/save it into a specific folder then try to recover the encrypted file in the future.

But if you don't care then you can proceed without having a backup. And afaik overwriting .dat files will not affect the wallet/client, it's just your wallets will be replaced.
1231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ingenious scammer @vareole on: December 08, 2020, 02:23:28 PM
yes,  @vareole  This son of a bitch is a scammer. He cheated me out of 450USDT, I bought aws account from him on Telegram, no trial guarantee deal, when he took money and gave me wrong account, when I asked him again, he blacked me and deleted all chats, my telegram account name is @pxdino, I could swear he is really a scammer.
Same with the op, do you have a screenshot of your conversation or any proof that will prove that the user is him/her? If the complainant can't give a single proof then its just an accusation, that's why people encourage anyone to at least follow the scam report format so that it's easy to understand the accusation and tag/flag the said person.
1232  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accepted for My business on: December 08, 2020, 11:16:04 AM
One thing is having an idea and another is implementing it;
Another one is the risk of the volatility of bitcoin once you have it, your business fund is at risk if the btc decreases, lucky if it increases.

But if you know how to manage your business fund (bitcoin ) then it should be okay.
1233  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 08, 2020, 11:02:22 AM
Salamat po sa coins.ph na solve yung issue ko tungkol sa phone ko lang pala ang problema dahil gumagamit ano ng vpn kaya ayaw ma access yung account ko. Nung na off ko na yung vpn at dun naging ok na ang lahat.
Dahil sa Terms and condition nila about sa new york state regulation, kaya pag naka vpn ka na US server or naka US ip address ka possible na ma detect nila yun kaya di mo a'access ang coins.ph ma app man or website.
1234  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Fake Ledger Phishing Texts [05.12.2020] on: December 07, 2020, 07:15:03 PM
I have a 4 Nano and 1 X...  My coin are safe or i risk something holding on it?
Your funds on your ledger are safe, there's nothing to worry about as long you backup your 24 recovery seed in a safe place.

You just have to worry a bit about your personal info the same as all the previous buyers of ledger hw.

Directly using their official website is the most safest way to purchase a ledger and as far as i know they have their official store on Amazon.
Yes, those amazon stores are included as their official retailers as listed here. I just being too wary or to suggest anyone to purchase again on their official store in regards to the breached.
1235  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ledger scammers have hit again... on: December 06, 2020, 11:08:33 PM
Here's an existing topic related to this, I suggest you to continue posting/sharing info there and lock this thread to avoid of redundant topics on the same board.
1236  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Fake Ledger Phishing Texts [05.12.2020] on: December 06, 2020, 11:03:26 PM
The role of the Ledger nano team is questionable now. How a user data would be leaked by the next day (if it's true what wrote by @dkbit98). We can suspect that one or more members from the Ledger management or support team are involved with the scammers. Ledger can't skip with such an excuse. If they can't stop that kind of behavior, then most likely Bitcoin users will start to avoid them and will find some other hardware wallet. I am also a Ledger user, but I am worried now even when I see update popups.
[...]
Somethings suspicious there if it's true.
I would say that ledger website shop isn't safe anymore, their products maybe the bests of the bests but if they keep leaking their users info without proper action of actually stopping it, then how it differs from a normal hack of some bitcoins, its even more dangerous since its a data that didn't expire, not unless you change everything, from email, mobile number to your address which is more difficult to do.

I would say avoid them for the time being, but if you still want to purchase some ledger HW, better to use their official retailer store nearby instead of directly from them.
1237  Economy / Services / Re: looking for a designer to design a welcome email for me on: December 06, 2020, 10:29:27 PM
If you're interested of looking some designers instead of waiting of offers, you can check Overview of Bitcointalk Designers(Signature,Avatar, etc)
1238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy virtual card with bitcoin on: December 06, 2020, 10:17:02 PM
But it seems yeah. It is harder than expected to find which I need. In old times I found one but hmm I forgot the name. Something with "u" letter started the name. Hmm I hope that I will find again and then I can link here. In the old times that was famous.
Yes, lots of such kind services before when KYC isn't required. Thanks to ICOs, SEC force almost everything here in crypto to do that.

Anyway, maybe you can check this list as well
1239  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Fake Ledger Phishing Texts [05.12.2020] on: December 06, 2020, 04:06:14 PM
Those targeted users are obviously from the previous data leak of ledger.

While I received a phishing email just yestersay, but this email wasn't use to purchase on their store but I remembered I previously uses this on some cloud mining sites when I'm just starting way back 2016, so I that's the reason lol

1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy virtual card with bitcoin on: December 06, 2020, 03:34:41 PM
Getting crypto credit/debit cards without requiring personal documents is somewhat risky coz they might end up running your funds and you will end up with nothing. Though it's somewhat helpful to those anonymous people who don't want kyc.

Found some thread here offering such service you can take a look and see it for yourself. But as what I said, such services are risky, so proceed with risk.
