1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why are there many big us and international institutions investing in bitcoin ? on: December 27, 2020, 07:07:57 AM
Bitcoin has been rising since 2009 and it had many ath and hype , especially on december 2017 where it reached its bigger ATH , but why did institutions did that now ?
Hype, realization, and money. Bitcoin become so hype these days after lots of business came on board. The realization that banks and finance institutes can't eliminate and what they should do is to follow others stack while it still early. And most above all is because of money.
1163  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Pharmacist scammed me on: December 27, 2020, 05:12:35 AM
It's okay to trade/deal using any platform but when dealing with the specific user on this forum, you should confirm it by messaging the user via the forum's pm and replying to the thread he/you made to confirm all means of information before sending any fund. It's easy to distinguish an impersonator from the real one though.
1164  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Procedure to extract all the "Fork" coins from a Bitcoin address on: December 27, 2020, 04:42:07 AM
there are some paid services too but the latter is not recommended as you'll have to trust them with your private keys.
Just transfer/sweep the coin you have on that private keys to other wallet as a backup so that you will not risk your funds when extracting fork coin to unknown/paid service.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the largest financial service in the world.😂 on: December 26, 2020, 11:58:24 PM
Seeing the chart, yes, bitcoin is. But I just think that bitcoin isn't a company or any kind of organization to begin with. Can you post here your source as well?

[Edit] Found it here
1166  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cryptominebit.com on: December 26, 2020, 05:25:05 PM
What do you think about cryptominebit.com? seems legit but the prices are a bit low.
cryptominebit.com/en_gb/
Seems legit huh, I would not risk any amount in regards of buying mining equipment to new websites without enough reviews. I will still use its official source (bitmain) and its affiliates rather than risking to new website with poor marketing just like this user do https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5279718.0
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alert! Convert your NEO and ETH to LTC !! on: December 26, 2020, 05:20:38 PM
Feel free to do it, eth is by far growing with just a small correction but still keep it's safe and hold its post. Its price now is far better than in the past 2 years. So I'd to say no.
1168  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto Adoptation (Advantage and Disadvantage) on: December 26, 2020, 03:37:23 PM
gaya nlng ng Madali lng i compromise ang isang account na mayroong cryptocurrency using click bait or Pishing site.
Common problem yan while you're on the internet, so you need to arm yourself syempre with knowledge to avoid this regardless kung crypto-related ba or hindi. Intalling AV, 2fa, strong password at iwasan ang pag gamit ng personal email sa crypto-related websites. Matutong i separate ang personal email, subscription email, spam/disposable emails, at business-related email.

1170  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for escrow service for AWS SES accounts on: December 25, 2020, 04:03:44 PM
Here are 2 threads of list of Bitcointalk Escrow Providers:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
and
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5076815.0

I myself used Minerjones, Monbux and bL4nkcode
here is bL4nkcode's thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2062906.0

I think some escrow providers don't accept account deals. but you can contact him and see if he can help you.
Thanks for the recommendations, but I didn't accept SES account trades due to many reasons.
1171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Twitter scam website on: December 25, 2020, 03:32:54 PM
Now they even clone the twitter and medium website just to make sure their strategy would work. Sad thing medium updated their new logo and that looks like busted.

This is  the address associated with the scammer
Code:

1172  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ICO Bench? - anyone know whats happening? on: December 25, 2020, 03:24:32 PM
Did you pay using their platform's payment page? Or just someone you contact outside of their website/support/email?

Have you or your team tried to ping them using their social media handles/channel regarding your issue? Their rep here is not active anymore so there's no help you can get from them here.

Idk also if there is someone here who is working for them. Try to wait for some response if there is.

1173  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Livecoin.net Scam on: December 24, 2020, 07:48:42 PM

I believe the hacker was also set up an instant trade to raise the price for every coin price and the hacker could sell his coin with the highest price.
This is the main reason why the prices of some prices there goes 800% or so, btc/usdt even reach $1M lmao

How I wish that's really the price.
1174  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Browser Extension that Gives Bitcoin on: December 24, 2020, 07:01:38 PM
The idea of them of stacking sats is convincing but just another term for rebates though and it will end when you start reading complains and kyc bs regarding the platform.

1178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cyber Criminals dumped Ledger's hack database on: December 21, 2020, 09:59:02 PM
Imagine someone in a region where crypto is not legal, the agency finds their details, and they got themselves in trouble.
Only if these agencies will let their time randomly check the list, imagine checking this million of info with their thousands or millions list of people, also when and by whom they'll start checking.

Btw I just received an email from phishing@ledger.fr, I'm sure this isn't from bad actors.

Checked out my email address on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and yes my old email is on there as well...
Great!
Thanks Ledger for keeping such data on a live database and making it super easy to grab....
Thanks, so much for security!
Heard ya, I checked and my email it's there as well, good thing this email isn't commonly used by me. I just moved to another location from the physical address I entered on ledger so this will not concern me,
1179  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hacker is dumping full Ledger database dump on raidforum on: December 21, 2020, 09:49:18 PM
Will lock this thread now since there's a thread made before this, you can just go here Cyber Criminals dumped Ledger's hack database
1180  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hacker is dumping full Ledger database dump on raidforum on: December 21, 2020, 09:08:52 PM
Fyi: that bin is no longer available, probably deleted by the admins of pastebin.
However, I see that the whole internet is already full of copies. One that is still working is on github, as posted on another thread.

Whole data of Ledger hack/leak available now on Github:
https://github.com/xoso9/ledgerhack
Probably reported and deleted by their admin. Thanks for the github link btw.
