Was a popular topic already, his contributions to the Kurds is most likely nothing compared to at least Canadas donations.
For some strategic reason we are propping them up with training and weapons.

You guys need to figure out the situation with the 50,100 and thousand hands.

I started playing 20 minutes after the 50 hand started and hit the 50 hands only to see it reset.
This needs to be fixed or again its a optic issue and you are actually making it pointless to play anytime during the 50 hand.
100 hand same issue if you made it start as soon as 100 hand starts it would not kill the tables instantly at that time.
Its odd the thousand hand works fine!
Small glitch in the sites favor,do you want it to continue to smear the site or do you want to fix it?

Another bad beat donk been shoving 4 hands in the last 10 I 3xbb and he shoves with JTos into my AKs and he hits straight right on the flop! Come on,I do so much better on other sites this is just garbage how you expect people to believe you are legit.
Going to start posting my hands on twitter and when I get enough will see whats what. If you reset the hand player well I am performing this you will be saying everything people need to know about this site.

@Beefheart
If you are depositing a large amount, not sure where the thresh hold is for large you can face delayed times in getting it out.

Fortunejack has a limited hot wallet and they have over 200 players playing at the same time so their hot wallet cpuld be depleted sometimes. Waiting for some times wont hurt anyway and once they refill the hot wallet, your withdrawal will be sent immediately or you can always ask support's help if it is urgent

If I was Fortunejack I would talk to this member he is doing you guys a disservice being such a cheerleader when the questions being asked are valid. Close to giving him a negative trust for being such a shill.

I don't think we're allowed to admit that a humongous amount of the pressure on Modern Woman comes from fellow Modern Woman. I don't think I've ever heard a male criticise a female for not having a thigh gap.

I hate fat woman with small tits.

Female here

 Kiss

Of course it is a joke - btw. how do people verify that the accounts in question are female(or male or maybe just a bot)?

Do not bring rational discussion into this thread, its a study and you need to take it for face value like I did! Tongue

Would be a twisted puppy making women feel funny about their bodies as a past time. Its a good question because they took in quite a lot of tweets there in that one study to say 4/5 where women.
Oh hold on wtf! The study was done by Dove soap! Cheesy They had some stupid ads on about empowering women around that time and showing women with issues and saying be proud of your body.
Good eye..Garbage study!

If you dislike signature campaigns you can just disable signatures in the settings?

That's not sufficient. The problem is that sig campaign members are incentivized both directly and indirectly on the basis of posting volume so the result is a lot of low quality posts.

I really don't understand why the forum allows it based on the fact that it both degrades the value of the forum and competes with the forum's own ads.

So what?

You mean to tell me that bitcoin projects run out of this forum do not benefit from having signatures floating around reading their threads. Hell they may even invest in something with those bitcoins!

There are two issues for me on the signatures and the first one is that they get blamed for all the blights of the forum and for sure they are a issue but there is more to it than just blaming signatures and washing our hands.
Take a look into a lot of the members that will bring a thread off topic just to point out a person has a signature and therefore it needs to be pointed out! Its insane that members are allowed to hijack threads like that but its the vogue of the moment and mods jump on it as well, maybe just Lauda.

The second part is getting better managers of these signatures,I have reported clear spam in the past and got no response back which is fine. Those members do not get kicked, which is a bit of the issue, when it is so clearly spam.
Implementing stricter guidelines would help address the issue and it will stifle these accounts that are also farming them to sell later.

Think leading by example does a part of the job because the spammers are not able to get away with half ass posts when they see every one else has written paragraphs. Their three word responses will stick out like a needle and will get plucked easier.

Nothing personal Smooth, was just thinking of the Fitness thread and was wondering how it was going, really only reason I posted! Shocked Kidding..

If the majority of people misunderstand the point, you failed to project it in a functional way to appeal to the masses.
Maybe you should put more thought into reading and analyzing before rushing to make a post.

Enough. You continue to make these allegations against me based on your own perceptions.
Have written to you to show me respect and I would offer the same but you continue with these allegations that hold no weight when tested.

The thread speaks for its self and yet I am wrong because Lauda and countryfee understand each other, well the majority here totally do not get the point. But I rushed this post too. Kiss
148  Other / Politics & Society / Twitter abuse - '50% of misogynistic tweets from women' on: May 26, 2016, 08:43:00 PM
Half of all misogynistic tweets posted on Twitter come from women, a study suggests.
Quote
Over a three-week period, think tank Demos counted the number of uses of two particular words as indicators of misogyny.

It found evidence of large-scale misogyny, with 6,500 unique users targeted by 10,000 abusive tweets in the UK alone.

Twitter boss Jack Dorsey has said that tackling abuse is a priority.

The research comes as UK MPs - Yvette Cooper, Maria Miller, Stella Creasy, Jess Philips - alongside former Liberal Democrat minister Jo Swinson, launch their Reclaim the Internet campaign, in response to growing public concern about the impact of hate speech and abuse on social media.
The campaign has opened an online forum to discuss ways to make the internet less aggressive, sexist, racist and homophobic.

Launching the campaign, Ms Cooper told the BBC: "The truth is nobody knows what the best answers are. There is more when there is criminal abuse, for example rape threats, that the police should be doing but what is the responsibility of everyone else? What more should social media platforms be doing?"

She said that the campaign was an opportunity for the public to "put forward their proposals and demands for the changes we want to see".

In response to the survey, Twitter's head of trust and safety Kira O'Connor told the BBC: "Hateful conduct has no place on the Twitter platform and is a violation of our terms of service.

"In addition to our policies and user controls, such as block, mute and our new multiple tweet reporting functionality, we work with civil society leaders and academic experts to understand the challenge that exists."

The Demos study also looked at international tweets and found more than 200,000 aggressive tweets using the words, "slut" and "whore", were sent to 80,000 people over the same three weeks.

The commonsense approach to posting comments on social networks would be to never say anything online that you wouldn't say to someone's face but that simple rule seems to be regularly ignored.

Being able to post anonymously helps and, in many ways, social networks have become the modern day equivalent of a natter over the garden fence or a gathering on the village green - but on a global scale.

And just as in the old gossip circles of old, there will be people whose comments are meaner or more aggressive than the rest, so that is amplified online. And now the voices of the trolls can be heard and they can pick victims - generally people they don't know - pretty much at random.

Abuse on social networks is not new and neither is the revelation that women contribute to the problem.

A 2014 study from cosmetics firm Dove found that over five million negative tweets were posted about beauty and body image. Four out of five were sent by women.

The bigger question is what can be done about it?

We have seen in recent years the police take the issue much more seriously and trolls have faced lengthy prison sentences. Some have made public apologies to their victims.

Education will be key. Teaching youngsters who haven't yet joined social media platforms that politeness is not a dying art and that if you say hurtful things online, they could genuinely cause distress, may give the next generation pause for thought before they start typing.
Stark reminder

Demos used algorithms to distinguish between tweets being used in explicitly aggressive ways and those that were more conversational in tone.

Researcher Alex Krasodomski-Jones said: "This study provides a birds-eye snapshot of what is ultimately a very personal and often traumatic experience for women.

"While we have focused on Twitter, who are considerably more generous in sharing their data with researchers like us, it's important to note that misogyny is prevalent across all social media, and we must make sure that the other big tech companies are also involved in discussions around education and developing solutions."

She added that it was not about "policing the internet" but was more "a stark reminder that we are frequently not as good citizens online as we are offline".

Thousands have responded to the hashtag #ReclaimtheInternet, with many congratulating the female MPs for starting the campaign.

Others though questioned how effective the campaign would be, with some questioning whether it would damage free speech.

Equality speaks up as we can see here the Women are not as wholesome as they would like us to believe. Cool
149  Other / Politics & Society / In Louisiana, It's Now A Hate Crime To Target Police Officers on: May 26, 2016, 08:30:35 PM
Moar Police State news...

Quote
Louisiana's hate-crime protections now cover law enforcement and first responders. Gov. John Bel Edwards signed the legislation on Thursday after it had passed easily in the Republican-controlled Legislature, NPR's Debbie Elliott reports.

People convicted of intentionally targeting police officers, firefighters or emergency medical crews will now face stricter penalties — as one would for targeting someone for their race or gender, The Two-Way has reported. Other protected classes in the state are: age, color, creed, disability, sexual orientation, national origin and ancestry.

"Coming from a family of law enforcement officers, I have great respect for the work that they do and the risks they take to ensure our safety," the governor, a Democrat, said in a statement. "The men and women who put their lives on the line every day, often under very dangerous circumstances are true heroes and they deserve every protection that we can give them. They serve and protect our communities and our families. The overarching message is that hate crimes will not be tolerated in Louisiana."

The law is a win for the so-called Blue Lives Matter movement, which advocates for law enforcement and is a response to Black Lives Matter — a movement critical of policing in minority communities.

While supporters of the legislation say there is increased hostility against law enforcement nationwide, crime statistics actually show an overall decline in officer killings.

In the wake of the church shooting in Charleston, S.C., for which suspect Dylann Roof faces multiple hate crime charges, NPR's James Doubek took a look at the effectiveness of hate-crime laws.

Michael Bronski, co-author of Considering Hate: Violence, Goodness, and Justice in American Culture and Politics, told James that hate-crime laws "essentially come down to feel-good laws."

"I think part of what they do is that they actually misdirect us from looking at much deeper issues," the media studies professor said. "Racism is a problem, homophobia is a problem, violence against immigrants is a problem ... so we end up passing these laws and saying, 'Look at this, we're actually doing something.' "

The Anti-Defamation League, an advocate for the laws, has said moves like Louisiana's may ultimately "dilute" hate-crime legislation — opening the doors to adding protections for even more categories.

Clicked on this thinking a extra tool for the police state but then It states this covers firefighters or emergency medical crews as well. We all know resisting arrest can be open for interperation but I have seen plenty of paramedics dealing with drunks or addicts that get pissed because they are about to lose their high or end their night early. If a cop wants he can view that as a issue and here we go again filling jails full of people with mental health and addiction issues.

I just checked a couple of posts* on random pages, and the posts look genuine.

Yobit campaign have the worst ever policy of judging constructiveness by length.
Given that they have barred you from participating in their campaign, just move on. Find another one if you like. Threads like this only make things look worse.

*the ones that are still there if some were deleted. The rest especially the character policy comment holds.

What is a bit tricky about his posts are that he was echoing or repeating what had already been said.
He also created threads that had also been started earlier,so it was mostly just creating more static than actual thought provoking threads.
Thought the same at first but I took a closer look and addressed it in his accusation thread.
151  Other / Meta / Re: Low quality posts from people with signature ads - "Ignore all" button needed on: May 26, 2016, 08:14:39 PM
Its really a half baked idea and creates more problems due to the people using ignore lists making echo posts which would get a signature wearer in trouble. It creates a double standard but I like these people doing this because it communicates how shortsighted they are in addressing issues. Signature bias plagues so many here and they think it gives them the right to spit on people that wear one.

The people that have called me out so far have been lacking in English or even worse posters than the people they accuse of spam. Yet it is encouraged to attack signatures where ever people see fit.

If people are determined to put this weird  bubble up that states how little they understand public intercourse so be it.
Reflects on them more than the signature,so have at it.

Understand the need to move schedule around but its hard coming to the site at the designated time to see nothing. Please fix this or address it so that I am not wasting time.

Thanks

In turn can we get a button to ignore people that fill this way about signatures?
Would not want to waste their time or my own having to respond to each other in a public forum, when it would just be rubbing each other the wrong way. Cheesy

Feel free to add me to your list. Wink

Loan Request:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1480334.msg14921492#msg14921492

So I believe you deleted some posts in the Yobit thread but will have to look into that.

After being kicked you proceed to open a allegation of scam against Yobit and people point out you had it coming.
Which you respond with a understandable response that you understand and it looked like you where moving on.
But you then open the loan thread and it looked to me like a account dump and hopefully no one filled that loan for that reason if they did their due diligence they would know.
So now the full on hate for signatures when you where full on Yobit not even a week ago. Do you not understand how these emotional tantrums make you appear on this forum?
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Ether: the people difference is everything on: May 26, 2016, 06:31:04 PM
A decentralized crypto-currenBTCcy is not supposed to have any kind of leader whatsoever.

Congratulations Lauda, you've been the only one to answer my point. When I mean leader, I don't mean someone to give rules, nor to tell us what to do, but someone to fix problems. We may imagine that some hacker tomorrow, finds a vulnerability and writes a virus to attack all miners. Just like a city needs a fire department service, BTC needs someone able to fix any problem which may arise, and I say that's why so many people like about Ether: there's a guy in charge.

You had a point! That was a complete ramble on nothing and you claim Lauda understood it?
Go read the rest of the response back to you,it really sounds like you where understood!
If the majority of people misunderstand the point, you failed to project it in a functional way to appeal to the masses.

Hey Evildrum,

I'm very sorry to say that we don't offer any kind of audits on hands played. I can however submit this to our poker team and something to consider being added in the future.
If you have any other questions or concerns please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks!

So I presume being almost June we could have had something in place by now.

A site that can add a feature of player standings for a month, surely can add a feature of hand histories.
You most likely have all the needed features to implement this already.

I know variance but the way your poker plays out is not legit.

1. Way to many split pot hands (AKvsAK) to enduce rake and leave both players with less
2. Way to many runner runner hands
3. Way to many players calling allin and catching when they had complete air
4. Cheating still goes unchecked

By allowing us hand histories we could help catch these cheaters, you would gain the upper hand over the competition and you would put to sleep the people like myself that think you are running a rigged game.

Another thing yesterdays 100 hands had 52 players in it and I could clearly see some fishy hand playing.
Either bump up the prize or bust these cheaters so we are not again being robbed.
