41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australian Newsstands to Sell Bitcoin Over-the-Counter on: June 03, 2016, 04:36:34 PM
It is a odd pairing for sure. Its not like they are going to hook a young generation into buying the newspaper when they are interested in bitcoin.
Those interested are getting most of their news online and most likely not even cable subscribers.
The days of old rich men manipulating the masses through a newspaper seem to be drawing to a close.
42  Other / Politics & Society / Refugees to have own team at Rio Olympics on: June 03, 2016, 04:15:52 PM
Team of 10 refugees, including Syrian swimmers and DRC judokas, to compete at this summer's Olympic Games in Brazil.

Quote
"These refugees have no home, no team, no flag, no national anthem. We will offer them a home in the Olympic Village together with all the athletes of the world," IOC President Thomas Bach said on Friday following an executive board meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland.

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/06/refugees-team-rio-olympics-160603132552404.html

So big of them, what is really being pushed with this refugee platform? It takes them forever to decide on adding a female equivalent sport to the men but this looks like something they fast tracked.
Read about this a well back and was kind of curious why they are doing this now!
43  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Stateless societies and bitcoin on: June 03, 2016, 03:14:33 PM
society without state is not possible. similarly bitcoin also need a recognition. it will be very nice if the states legalize the bitcion. then we can say that it will really become a universal currency.

It already is a universal currency, does not need to be regulated and bogged down in governmental scrutiny.
The last thing bitcoin needs is the five, nine or thirteen eyes on it.
This thinking always baffles me and I would like to know why it is such a common thinking to stifle bitcoin in such a way!

yobit campaign is full off noob people.

before joining in the campaign, you must read rules: post in this thread and in the off topics isnot counted, so if you will continue posting shits like this, you will be kicked from campaign soon.

There was a issue with posts being counted and since I have been active since the changes I think I know what posts count and what do not.
When throwing accusations it helps to actually search the person to see if their posts are what you are stating, otherwise you come off as a signature spammer. But that would not be true about you, right? Posting in another signature could never be seen as spam. Roll Eyes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It looks to have counted the one post I made before logging off and no one has posted about the issue today.
So looks like it has been sorted out, will just write the posts off from yesterday.

Funny you point that guys posts out KenR I actually came across that middle post and was about to say something to him.
The OP was asking for poker sites and not casinos and I think that link was a referral link on top of it.

Was looking at his first post thinking he really should not be getting in crap for a nice looking post. Then I read it! Cheesy
Like you say it looks like he is trying to manipulate his posts to look like they are good enough. Imagine in a quick glance Hilarious might even not notice,he has quite a lot of accounts to skim through.

47  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is it about Theists needing to say Atheist has a god? on: June 03, 2016, 12:28:02 AM
It's just that everybody (in general) wants to be truthful... except atheists about the fact that there is a God over all.

Cool

I will bite..

If the OP is stating he does not care, how is he being untruthful? It implies that he knows better that there is a god but no one can know for sure what one believes. I do not care either,if the lights go out and I need to pay the rent for living in sin so be it. Till I see it,I do not believe it and think its a lot to ask people to believe in something they can not, unable to or choosing not to see.

48  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Members should leave religion matters out of Bitcoins discussions on: June 03, 2016, 12:20:22 AM

They were 2 separate statements. One speaking to the OP about why this forum shouldn't push to keep religion out of Bitcoin discussions, and one speaking to Vod. I never implied they are not ignorant because they are a majority. There are plenty of ignorant religious people, and there are plenty of ignorant non-religious people. I've bolded what I said above, if you can try to read and not quickly post to increase your count and make your YoBit quota. This is to say there are plenty, plenty of well educated high caliber people that he just called ignorant in his asinine generalization. I would explain more, but I'm realizing you wouldn't read it.

If I was referring to the first response you made I would have separated it or highlighted it.
Signature bashing aside, lets address this statement.
Quote
If only he knew the amount & caliber of people around the world he was calling ignorant, he would realize how ignorant he was by calling them ignorant.

The response you give makes little sense. You talk about the obviousness in numbers and then go on to talk about caliber, which I reference below. Then you state he would realize how ignorant it is to call them ignorant. This implies that religion has a leg to stand on,which is why I state you are passing judgement based on religious belief. It may not be your own religious belief but you allow them ground in stating that religion is not ignorant.
The issue is you are sitting on the fence and allowing them ground to play with, well others like Vod and myself believe that religion is a corruption of the human mind. Should not speak for Vod and will let him address that if he chooses to.

noun
1.
the diameter of something of circular section, especially that of the inside of a tube:
a pipe of three-inch caliber.

2.
Ordnance. the diameter of the bore of a gun taken as a unit of measurement.

3.
degree of capacity or competence; ability:
a mathematician of high caliber.
4.
degree of merit or excellence; quality:
the high moral caliber of the era.

So stating they are of higher moral standing or higher degree of capacity,or you saying the opposite?

Now back to the signature issue. Its arrogant to dismiss a opposing view point based on a bias you have towards the service that is allowed in the forum. I speak on religion because it is the topic at hand,my signature was not on the table and there are plenty of threads where you can bitch to your hearts content about the signatures spamming up the forum.
Just know that by writing people off based on a signature is really just pointing out that you where unable to say anything of substance and decided to take the easy way out.

Cheers.

You should start a blog countryfree,I would be interested to see the issues you struggle with day to day.
Its funny last night I did a search for living off the grid, from time to time I romanticize trying it.
Lot more people doing this then I was expecting and always presumed people ended up in Asia or South America to extend their money flow but seems to be a lot of people doing it just outside of towns.

Have a cabin on a lake and I often think about getting away for a winter even though it would be damned cold, just to refocus on whats important.
50  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Members should leave religion matters out of Bitcoins discussions on: June 02, 2016, 11:10:21 PM
This forum should allow all viewpoints, whether in a bitcoin discussion or not. It would be silly to try and quiet the majority of the world.  Wink

What does religion and bitcoin have to do with each other? those are 2 very different and separate things.

One attracts the intelligent, the other attracts the ignorant.

I knew Vod would have something to say here  Cheesy  If only he knew the amount & caliber of people around the world he was calling ignorant, he would realize how ignorant he was by calling them ignorant. I still got no problem with him expressing his ignorance though, its all he knows. Although, I do still love you Vod.  Grin

That does not work. You can not point to a majority and imply that they are not ignorant because they are the majority.

The issue of religion is it sways decisions and the people that follow it are blind to how it effects those people that do not follow the Name your God here. The response you gave shows how entitled you are to pass judgement based on it.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Egyptian police arrest a man for trading bitcoin on localbitcoin on: June 02, 2016, 10:48:20 PM
Egypt is becoming such a crazy place with the current leadership in place any thing can change on a dime.
The place is so set on tourism that all the garbage coming out of there is just going to make it turn belly up in quite a short time.
I still can not get the image of that lady being dragged off to be raped with 50 dudes chasing after her to watch and partake.
Angered me so much to know that there where people living on that level of exsistence, turned me right off Egypt.

Hopefully a new leadership can turn things around but the current setup is a dictatorship, that will not end well.

Moreover, Blueshyft is owned by the nephew of Rupert Murdoch

Was thinking what a great move for bitcoin and then I see Murdochs name attached to the story and want to puke.
Either way I hope this brings more people on board and hope the idea spreads to other countries that could easily adopt the idea.

So looking at Blueshyfts site:

This has to be the one site that I could not get past the registration, support was totally ineffective to the point of accusing.
To harass a customer that has not even played on the site yet told me all I needed to know about future dealings with transfers,so I found other places to go play. Suggest people do the same,to many issues going on with them.

I doubt that. There are people who are currently signature participants and would like to see them gone for good.

How can you as a mod be unbiased in handling moderation when you clearly take issue with signatures. The irony as already pointed out is that you wear one yourself. So you must be referring to ones self when you made this comment.

Quote
It has a point. Signature campaigns are horrible and I doubt their potential benefits to the ecosystem. Most of the senior members that I've had interaction with agree on removal of signature campaigns.

So horrible that you wear one? You ever think that you are suffering from that bias where like minds flock together.

Spam has decreased and would decrease more with another bump to full member in the cut off. If all signatures implemented such a standard we would not be attacking signatures for spam. Lets look at the real issue being ineffective signature mods, that is the issue and not the actual members. You correct one the other falls in line.
Elimination is short sighted because these same senior members you point to for opinion are they posting anything relevant to help bitcoin community? Hunting spammers, scammers and shilling should not count towards contributing to the forum.

Lets keep the moderating unbiased, you carry more weight than you think and its a shame you use it in this manner.
55  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Members should leave religion matters out of Bitcoins discussions on: June 02, 2016, 06:59:14 PM
Where has religion ever crept into any type of Bitcoin discussion? There's all sorts of squealing on the politics and society board about religion, but that's the subject they're discussing. I've never seen anyone proposing hard forks to stop mining on the sabbath.

Just a few I noticed and recent enough for conversation.

Can see a time when the forum is over run with it because it looks like a lot of the religious type questions on bitcoin are from newer members.
Meaning that they could be just using bitcoin as a way to talk about religion. Do not want to stifle freedom of speech either, but the potential to be over run could come once more poorer countries gain access to the internet.
But as of right now I do not see a need for a religious section,P&S has ongoing threads on religion that seem to help contain it for now.

Germany arrests 3 suspected Syrian terrorists, foils possible Islamic State plot

Quote
BERLIN — Three Syrian men who entered Germany with a wave of migrants were arrested Thursday on suspicion of planning an Islamic State attack on the city of Düsseldorf. The arrests potentially thwarted a deadly operation that appeared eerily reminiscent of recent assaults on Brussels and Paris.

The suspected plot, German authorities said, involved suicide bombers, firearms and explosives — a lethal combination that has become the hallmark of a new spate of Islamist terror in Europe. A fourth Syrian, who prosecutors said had informed French officials about the alleged plot, was being held in France.

So looks like the focus in going to be Germany or France, that looks to be the spot they want to concentrate efforts.
Would make sense attack those most likely to support you to widen the divide.

Diet and hydration can do amazing wonders for how you feel. Sounds corny but it works, think some foods we have slight allergies to can drag us down.
Last week I had two peanut butter sandwiches and it must have been my overload limit cause my head exploded and was puking for like 4 hours.

Another one is excercise and meditate.

All bit out there makes me sound like a granola muncher but they all work.

I was not making any slight of hand or hidden objective at pointing out the child was black other than to show how many people on twitter where attacking white parents thinking the kid was white. Thought it was pretty funny to get so worked up over something that was wrong. Not a racial thing for me at all, just thought I needed to address it. Smiley

A tearful Jasmine Richards, leader of Black Lives Matter Pasadena, was found guilty by a jury this morning of Attempting to Unlawfully Remove a Suspect from Police Custody, a felony. She is the first African-American to ever be convicted of the charge in the U.S.

Richards was also convicted of violating probation by being charged with a misdemeanor in an unrelated case while out on bail, and was immediately taken into custody by Sheriffs’ deputies.

Sentencing was set for Tuesday, June 7, at 8:30 a.m.

You know the ironic fact about this story is that she broke ground for black people being charged with lynching.
Be interesting to follow this on the social networks for the next bit,I am getting it all over my twitter feed. Might have to do so trimming of who I follow. Trying to follow all different types of folks to get a broader perspective.

Honestly forgot what Lynching was,the image of hanging some one from a tree came to mind.
