221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you guys listening to any of the BTC Podcasts on: May 20, 2016, 04:07:14 PM
Been checking on some podcasts but a lot of them are dated or way down the theory hole to follow.
Any one else got some podcasts before I start down the road of self exploration?

The Secret Shame of Middle-Class Americans

Nearly half of Americans would have trouble finding $400 to pay for an emergency. I’m one of them.

Quote
The Fed asked respondents how they would pay for a $400 emergency. The answer: 47 percent of respondents said that either they would cover the expense by borrowing or selling something...

Was a similar story floating around about people not able to get $1k in a emergency and it was like 38% of people making over 100K a year could not come up with that amount in a jam.
223  Other / Meta / Re: Extreme RACIST not banned ??? on: May 20, 2016, 11:21:59 AM
In the States the first ammendment gets in the way of hate speech, but there are still plenty of ways to deal with it on a state level.
That said this member presents himself as being from the UK which is still part of the EU. They have laws in place that could put this in the breaking the law of ones Country of origin.

Saying that you have to wonder who benefits from giving a racist a platform to loudbox from! Its not a good look and we risk being smeared by the actions of a few.
224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drugs fuck you up, man on: May 20, 2016, 12:29:52 AM

225  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OGNASTY.ORG - SCAM WEBSITE on: May 20, 2016, 12:10:32 AM
To think a name like OGNasty iss repeatedly being used by scammers to steal with. Was there not something last week or the week before as well?
226  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk run by jews? on: May 19, 2016, 11:57:30 PM
To state that forum owners are Jews is antisemetic and against forum rules and the Laws of most places.

Why should this be considered as antisemetic? And what is the problem of being a jew btw? Is it shameful?
He had his post removed because he is posting only 1 pic? Take a look in the politics section and start reporting such behaviour...
I don't mean to offend you but saying someone is a jew (religion) for removing something that offend what he believes is a normal act, and the answer is a simple No... Shooting antisemetic for everything related to jews is ridiculous imo  Smiley

@somacoin: my interrogation doesn't mean that I don't know it is true but that this thing is applied only in some cases

This member posts only racist topics and his links are mostly always to a website that is racist, homophobic and cekebrates Hitlers views. For a well the forum had multiple accounts going to town with blaming Jews for everything.
The account seems to be using this forum to push a racist agenda.
The Muslim accounts bashing Jews I suspect are actually from this propaganda wing as well and not actually Muslims.
Might be worth addressing racism as a platforn here.
227  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gianluca95 is spamming on: May 19, 2016, 10:57:48 PM
Of course a member that has been here for a long time with a good track record is going to have more sway than a new member throwing a accusation around.
For one,you have a long history to judge that persons track record,as opposed to anyone being behind a new account. Its a factor, not every aspect I take into the soup when I look at issue.
You make it seem like I am basing all judgement on this aspect, what I am saying is I do not respect a person that needs to hide, its cowardly and sleazy tactic to drive home your issues. I look at the evidence but lets take a look at this more clearly if we want to attack this person and not the OP.

There is already a thread in meta where the accused was asking for clarification and was told he was wrong and he seems to have got the point.
Opening a accusation thread well he is banned and can not represent himself does what for the forum? It looks like a witchhunt rather than a thread for the accused to come in and give his reasoning for his actions.

So a unknown with a agenda, trying to accuse a member that has no voice due to being banned. Is this the kind of behavior we want to allow?

@ Luptin

I followed that issue as well and it had all kinds of issues connected to it,like the use of sock puppets. Knowing you went through a pretty good fight over that I appreciate your view on the issue. But in the court of law most people get to face their accuser and you knowing also relieves a bit of that unknown aspect as well.

If you guys are cool with it that is fine,I am not cool with it and will attack it when I see it.
228  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gianluca95 is spamming on: May 19, 2016, 10:23:07 PM
Posting under a new account just takes away all aspects you present because you are unwilling to stand behind your real account.
Right or wrong its more a issue to me that you think that doing so would fly.

It doesn't matter what account is.More importantly, the point being conveyed should.I think its completely fine to create a new account if you're too bothered about your reputation or any other aspects that are keeping you off from posting through the main account.People are more concerned about what the problem is rather than who the person is.As long you have proofs to base your opinions and desire to fight the case I think its fine.Agree there are troll's who bring up crap against people but you know that's never taken too seriously.

Disagree. If some one is going to slander or make a accusation it should be from their main account as then we can judge the accuser and the weight of the accusation more clearly. If you where accused would you rather not face the person or just have this unknown person accuse you of wrongs?
When you weigh a discussion you should take all factors into play. Knowing the person has past history of vague/false accusations would sway the discussion for sure. We are not able to judge his trust or character. The accuser should be held to the same flame otherwise the accusation for me is a wash.

It reads like some one is worried their argument is thin or they have a axe to grind. Like I stated it weakens the argument,so why would they choose that route knowing that to begin with!

230  Economy / Lending / Re: Check please (part loan send to official foundation for child) on: May 19, 2016, 08:52:53 PM
You can call us greedy people but its you posting in the lending section driven by profit that you are posting this.
It would most likely get deleted in any other section because we do not want to be flooded with emotional pleas to fill peoples loans. Read the rules at the top of this sub forum.
231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with mountlaw1@gmail.com (lawrabce mount) on: May 19, 2016, 08:12:35 PM
oh come on. getting so worked up for one random email? I used to get many of those and couldn't even care less.

There was a guy that fell for it recently and imagine more that just are to embarrassed to say anything.
Its not one random email is the point, its a continual pattern on people asking for loans,he offers them more money than they where asking for and its fish hook in mouth at that point.
Not every one is aware that these things are quite common here and its not a bad thing to point it out from time to time.

The new study, conducted by Pew Research Center in association with the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, finds that clear majorities of Twitter (63%) and Facebook users (63%) now say each platform serves as a source for news about events and issues outside the realm of friends and family. That share has increased substantially from 2013, when about half of users (52% of Twitter users, 47% of Facebook users) said they got news from the social platforms.

http://www.journalism.org/2015/07/14/the-evolving-role-of-news-on-twitter-and-facebook/

Older link but I would think these numbers are still some what the same, which points to why this is such a big issue for the majority of us. Factor in those that get a lot of their news second hand from people that use facebook and its a very effective campaign to push their agenda of leftist issues.

Is it possible to have a platform that did not lean one way or another with out crossing some one?
Think that is very hard to figure out these days with all the branches of bizarre issues.
233  Economy / Lending / Re: Check please (part loan send to official foundation for child) on: May 19, 2016, 08:01:59 PM
You need to understand that emotional hijacking will not get you anywhere here and will most likely be seen as a scam.
Would suggest you delete this thread or face negative trust in short manner.
234  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with mountlaw1@gmail.com (lawrabce mount) on: May 19, 2016, 07:59:59 PM
This is mostly one guy that keeps buying new accounts or using new accounts to offer loans and his requirement is always to contact him in private. There he will request personal details that will include your photo id and banking information,he will quickly proceed to hacking you and taking your funds. When he gets caught he tends to troll or close his threads, reopening a thread that is moderated by him so he can delete any opposition.
Think this is the same guy you are talking about and he is a cancer on the site.

Bit of discussion on this topic going on here but the people that are missing the boat seem to have become more popular in pointing to the profit as the new god.

237  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lost lawsuit, judgement against me is rough, opinions? on: May 19, 2016, 06:01:32 PM
Do you still live on 96th?

731 74th Street North ^^

You're cool, bud.

A couple questions, if you don't mind, bud. Is it safe to assume that your current debt isn't currently detrimental to your overall well-being? I have reason to believe that you've gone to school to learn to code. Is that correct? If so, what are coding skill sets?

Of course its detrimental to my overall well being, knowing I'll never be able to have anything in my name or own my own assets due to this ridiculous fraudulent judgement against me when the other guy was at fault.

Hey life's tough... oh wells.

I do not understand this aspect of never owning anything in your own name. There are two simple ways to fix this for the most part. One you get equity in something and use it to build into something bigger like buying a cheap apartment.
Once you own a residence a lot of doors open up for you. Other aspect is here in Canada a bankruptcy can be off the books in less than 7 years,I know the States harsher in this aspect but you can still rebuild your credit. This is speaking from experience and it also relates to my first post to you.
You have to understand that things happen for a reason and everything that has happened to me in the past that was bad turned into a blessing down the road. I was a arrogant snotty nosed kid and any one I judged I became and walked farther down that road. Learn from your issues and move on,do not let these things wear you.
238  Other / Meta / Re: Are you happy with the Bitcointalk administration/moderation? on: May 19, 2016, 05:55:57 PM
Think most moderation is done in a timely manner and the slights I feel are usually not meant to be that way,so benefit of the doubt. Think my only issue is having some threads pointing out to be redundant by post from a mod that inevitably closes down the conversation. Or when you are addressing a issue and you are the sole person saying something different and they choose you to nit pick on. Thats the only gripes I have because it gives other members the dogpile effect once they see the mod has given the "fish out of water" salute.

By looking at the mods I can see it is set a certain way for a reason, with very similar minds or presenting themselves in the same manner. So there is little that can change as it is planned.
239  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: May 19, 2016, 05:33:47 PM
Can some one confirm that gambling sub forum does not count?
I am short posts and if its not that I need to adjust my posting time a hour off what every one claims to be the start of the new day.
Notice if I post say 7:05 it will not count but sometimes I am pushed back to 7:25 other days,so maybe just adjust my posting to 2 hours to be safe. Cheesy

Gambling sub counts. The only boards that don't count are the local boards, and then posts in this topic don't count, either. Everything else is fair game.

Cheers. I seem to have a timezone issue then and will set my clock to 8:05 to address this.
Appreciate the help, was thinking this to be the case but I was also starting out my day posting in gambling related threads and it was looking like the reason for my posts not counting.
240  Other / Meta / Re: Made a lengthy post on a website called 10bit, it was deleted ? on: May 19, 2016, 05:30:57 PM
Whats the difference here then if referrals are not allowed?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1448206.msg14855857#msg14855857

Yesterday I pointed out a thread that this person created that is him getting people to sign up under his referral and acting like it is his promotion. He does this repeatedly and he is allowed to carry on.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1448206.msg14855857#msg14855857
The promotion is run by Jetwin itself not OP, you just need to register and verify your logins, If the phone verification does not work you can just contact the support, They require ID verification if you meet the rollover requirement though.
I can also confirm this after signing up through their actual thread here.

I have a issue with this member stealing affiliate links to be clear on the issue but I do not understand the difference!
