481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming ICOs on: October 21, 2017, 06:03:21 PM
Honestly you'd have much better odds playing the lottery than investing in a gaming ICO. As someone who founded some of the largest platforms for bitcoin gambling Primedice.com & Stake.com I feel like I've built up a small amount of wisdom regarding this field over the last 5 years.

I love all the interesting and unique ideas coming out of all these gaming ICO's but they are all so heavily inflated value wise that you will not make money. Aefter they start delivering quarterly loss after quarterly loss people will dump and they will either laugh their way to the bank or buy those same shares back from investors for cents on the dollar. This isn't to say that there aren't some promising ICO's that could grow into gaming powerhouses, but I can look at the vast majority of them and say they will be worthless in 1-2 years and I just wish it was easier to bet against them.

The Primedice team very lightly thought about ICO'ing with interest in doing crazy stuff like opening up real life casinos, but at this time didn't feel it could make responsible use of such a large amount of investment or do much more than possible with owner funds. When I look at the majority of ICO's I see unproven founders with unrealistic ideas based around buzzwords trying to solve problems that don't exist. If our gaming brands weren't so profitable they would probably ICO too, it gives you a chance to effectively buy-in to the big-boy table but without the skill, connections, reputation necessary to multiply that money it won't last long but for many of these ICO's it won't matter because they'll still be laughing to the bank.

If any of these ICO founders want to privately bet against me on the future outlook of their company, feel free to reach out.

482  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best black jack BTC/ALTcoin gambling? on: October 21, 2017, 04:40:41 PM
Try out the blackjack on www.Stake.com and let me know what you think. We use 0.4% house edge rules which is the lowest I've seen.
It's not the lowest.

https://www.bitcoinblackjack.com is offering blackjack with only 0.36% house edge

You should recommend they fix their fairness so you don't have to change your client seed every hand for peace of mind. What's silly is when I play on that site and set my own client seed, they will override it every next hand with their own. Unless you can commit to changing seed every single hand or truly trust the operator is the edge really that low?

Stake offers 0.4% with proper fairness & higher limits. If they change how their system works I'd recommend you play there over our site.

Hi everyone. Thank you for the recommendation!

We are always working hard to enhance our user experience, so please let us know what changes you would like to see!

Sent you a PM, thanks for being so open-minded. Smiley
483  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bug! on: October 21, 2017, 04:39:08 PM
I get this error too: "Oops, an unexpected error occurred."

It does show my correct balance though.

Before I'm going to delete my precious cookies and browser cache, I tested it in a private window. Now I get this error: ""password" length must be less than or equal to 24 characters long".

It didn't tell me it's too long when I created it. Before I click "Forgot Password" (which I didn't forget!): did something change in the password requirements after I first created my account?
Bump: After deleting my cookies, and using "Forgot Password", I could set a shorter password and log in again.

Bug report
I can still reproduce this.

Bug:
1. Create new account
2. Set 25 character password
3. Try to Login
4. See this error:

Required solution:
1. Best option: don't limit password length
2. If you have to limit it to 24 characters, show the error when creating the account instead of when logging in

My account name if there is a bug bounty: Loyce

I've been notified of this prior, perhaps by you. I've added it to our work-flow will just restrict it when setting a password or extend max length.

Thanks

An official t-shirt from PD? That's a good giveaway, it's a good real life stuff that you can give to the loyal players of PD but you should have some criteria of your players that will receive this t-shirt but if it's a lie before, make sure that you'll make it real this time. Just let those lucky ones shoulder the shipping fee.
That is unfair to ask the winner to shoulder the shipping fee,it is like winning a BMW but you have to pay the massive import tax ,which is not a cool way to get a good give away. Tongue If there is a lucky winner then PD should ship that too as it is not a big deal for a big site like PD . Grin

Withdrawals just got faster!
It is because the blockchain is not crowded like before and transaction are getting through faster now with lower transaction fees which is really great. Wink

I want to start getting PD/Stake shirts to qualified players, I'll have a chat with Micro now.

Ive heard through some very reliable sources in the industry that Stake is close to closing its doors. Just a warning if you have any funds in Stake to withdraw them immediately or risk them taking your bitcoin.

I've heard from some very reliable sources in the industry that you're full of shit Smiley . Big updates coming soon
487  Economy / Gambling / Re: why did you stay? on: October 15, 2017, 07:52:11 AM
Because PD incentivizes people to stay with them through the house edge on dice. PD has a 1% house edge on dice, while Stake's dice has a massive 2% house edge.

Yeah, to be honest we've been trying to keep Primedice intact and not split up the community. I think both offerings are very different and appeal towards different audiences. At the end of the day if we keep working hard on Primedice it will hopefully remain THE bitcoin dice site and Stake will eventually be the cryptocurrency casino/sportsbook/poker site. Once we add some big updates to PD we'll consider lowering edge on Stake dice, bear in mind though that the majority of edges on Stake games are 1% and some games are relatively similar to dice.

Had no idea :S, thank you for the heads up! Will get that sorted Smiley

Any thoughts on what we should do for 20 Billion bets?

Maybe some bitcoin reward, colorful primedice t-shirts or silver/gold plated primedice physical coin(you could get bunch of it made for future giveaways as well). Wink

Some real life stuff would be great I'm thinking, a lot more fun than BTC!
Tell it to your best friend micro, couple months ago he promise primedice tshirt but of course he lie again. Not first and not last time.

Will check-in with Micro about that. I lost all the Primedice shirts I had traveling Sad

Live stats are now live! Click the chart icon under any game to track your session statistics. You can drag it to wherever you'd like to place it, makes it a lot easier to figure out what's going on when auto-betting. Chartbet is returning this week as well, stay tuned.

That's great feature you got there. I have seen that feature earlier but wasn't this much fun.

Graphs definitely make things a bit more fun, especially when they are going up Smiley

Bitstarz, bitcasino have long track records of selectively scamming with Terms & Conditions. I'd avoid deposit bonuses entirely.

Good site, the crappy part is I can’t claim faucet it says faucet is not allowed. Contacted support and explained I only used 3-5 faucets and  it won’t let me claim... they said I had to wait 24hrs so I did that and still same problem! Contacted suppor again and they told me to wait another 24hrs lol wth.. only used 3 or 5 faucets and have to wait 48hrs to play again..I have another account to store my winnings but I don’t claim faucets on there..

Good site but just mad with support for not responding to my messages, all they said was wait another 24hr again
My user name is : rajahdat

You probably hit the per IP address limit, are you sharing an IP with someone else?
498  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | Most Popular & Trusted | 109 BTC Jackpot! on: October 04, 2017, 02:51:57 AM
Why it is so hard to hit the jackpot? Simply because it's all worth it. C'mon it's over a hundred BTC so expect that the chance is so small to hit it. Let's say you're the owner, wouldn't you do the same condition as what pd does with their jackpot. Who's owner will offer a jackpot with such amount without a very small chance? I bet no one. It's like the main event in sports, the main attraction. So it's way harder to hit than hitting 9900x.

I dont mind about the so small chance to hit the jackpot, but it is more about the jackpot system which is manual. I think many people will try to hit it with the lowest eligible bet amount (0.0001 for 1%) if the system is automatic. It is not fun to watch all the bets we made if we are only hunt for the jackpot. I hope they can make it into automatic system soon.

They will not make it automatic if you asked me, if they want it to be automated they will do it before releasing or atleast few days after release but why until now it is manual? I believe the jackpot is there just because they want to attract more players to play and hunt. Who in the right might would hunt that jackpot manually while the chance is very very very low? That jackpot only gives me the feeling not to play in Primedice anymore

What you said doesn't make much sense.

I am pretty sure if you hit the jackpot you automatically get the jackpot creddited into your account, as long as you made the min bet.

Also the jackpot is a bonus, so by not wanting to play here because the jackpot is not fair doesn't make much sense. Most sites don't have jackpots like this actually.

No, you don't.
Click the questionmark beside the jackpot amount and you'll see this

This is a self reporting system, if you win please email support@primedice.com or contact us on Bitcointalk, Facebook or Twitter
You have to report it on your own.

But I guess it's okay since we all now realize the jackpot is there just to be there basically Cheesy

@adaseb, if you're pretty sure about it being automatic, how 'bout we bet on it. Tongue
if I'm right, you pay me.
if you're right, which you're pretty sure, I'll double my payment. Tongue

Yes I appologize, I didn't see that question mark.

I am really surprised why they haven't made it automated.

I guess the reason why they make you report the jackpot is to make sure you aren't using an autobot. That and it also reduces their chances of paying out a winning if someone doesn't know about the jackpot or they miss the winning rolls.

That doesn't make any sense
The website has automatic betting, which is basically an autobot
I mean, what's the difference?

It's probably there to make the jackpot harder to get (as in people missing it).

That was never the intention, jackpot was something one of our front-end devs put in while our Back-end guys were working on Stake. It's a freebie in a sense that we aren't taking a portion of bets to fund it, we just put 110+ of our own coins into it so if anything it just lowers the house edge very slightly. I don't think we'd make it so you are automatically credited 100+ coins but I'll look into adding some sort of alert so it can't be missed.
499  Economy / Gambling / Re: looks like bitkong site is secretly mining on users machine - (Browsermining) !! on: October 02, 2017, 02:35:49 AM
Doesn't even reach 10% CPU here lol. Quickly looked in source code and didn't see anything special either.

Rationally we should expect scripts like that on shit sites where the site owner has no other way to earn money from their visitors. A gambling site is quite the opposite of that, so it would not make any sense for them to screw over their visitors like that.

This is actually a pretty interesting concept, I know the piratebay is doing something similar. You'd need tons of users for this to be relatively profitable though.
500  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice (dilution fee waived during prerelease!) on: October 01, 2017, 02:47:18 AM
So, if I see everything correctly, you are both (partial) owner of bustabit and bustadice? Or is bustadice just the site that 'evolved' from bustabit?

I am the exclusive owner of bustabit, and a partial owner of bustadice. Bustadice is it's own project separate from bustabit. I would describe it as "a bustabit inspired dice site".

Daniel is the guy who will be running it on a day-to-day basis (and in fact, for security I do not and will never have access to the servers). I helped a bit with the development, and going forward my primary role is just running the "seed server" and auditing the game results and co-signed of the cold-storage.

Quote
Another question: what is the model that should make profit behind this? Is there a commission on profits for the investors?

The site charges investors 25% of the house edge on each bet (regardless if win's or not). Other than that, everything goes directly to the bankroll (and thus investors).

Site looks very promising, excited to try it out. Not sure how I feel about 25% of the house edge regardless of win or loss, would suck to lose money on the investment and then have to pay fees but profit wise it still should work out in long run. The dilution aspect would make me a bit apprehensive to invest but it's pretty unique and seems good for longterm investors.
