1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polymath Airdrop on: March 01, 2018, 08:39:58 AM
I receive their Airdrop worth 250 Polymath tokens and I still hold, there were times that their value drops to zero and moon again back to $300. There were many speculation about their token which is a security token that will be one of the most outstanding crypto of the year.. its just a rumor but we'll see.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is steemit a good way to make money? on: March 01, 2018, 07:35:11 AM
Steemit is a very rewarding platform, I have a friend who earned for about $ 400 just by posting her Traditional Artwork. I also created a steemit account but until now I did not receive my confirmation email, they said that they are in beta stage and cannot entertain new registered account.
1383  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Support natin phbtctalk on: March 01, 2018, 07:18:05 AM
We have a Philippine section here in BCT, why do we need to make a new forum exclusive only for Filipinos, eh meron naman na local board tayo?
1384  Other / Meta / Re: Post count dropped by almost 40 in the last hour or so on: February 28, 2018, 01:57:23 AM
It's just the thread you are posting in was deleted by moderator/admin of the forum.

You will not reeive any emails or messages regarding the deleted post, it is impossible to message all people who posted in the deleted thread, it is so time consuming.
1385  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Hirap sa English on: February 27, 2018, 11:09:27 PM

Yes tama  malaking tulong nga ang panunuod ng movies with english subtitles, pero dont you think mas okay and mas efficient if magbabasa nalang tayo ng dictionary and review mg mga english pointers. At the same time updated ka pa sa nangyayari.

So gagawin ko yan salamat
Isa ding magandang pointer ang pagbabasa sa forum like reddit and the likes, reading english is always the best way to enhance you english proficiency, magbasabasa sa ivat ibang crypto related website.
Also try to read in steemit and medium, maraming english don.
Madami talagang ways para kumita dito sa forum, as I see it your post is very useful especially those people who are starting out.
If you dont have any capital to invest in, then go for airdrops but you need to invest time. Approximately 6 months is enough to have a stable amount of capital to use for trading.

Madami pang pwedeng gawin, magagamito din sarili mong skills dito, like making logo and the likes. Its just a matter of being a wais member and being useful to community.
1387  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 19, 2018, 11:00:20 PM
any news about a stellar wallet in coinsph? their platform is after all, built on stellar, right?

One more thing wala pa ngang update ang ETH wallet eh.
1388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question for all you holders on: February 18, 2018, 12:12:12 PM
I HODL because I don't need an urgent cash on hand, and I think these coins that I hodl can be sold at a greater amount of price which is good. We don't HODL for eternity, we hodl because these coins give you more profit in the future.
1389  Other / Meta / Re: Does the merit system have weaknesses? on: February 18, 2018, 11:04:15 AM
As I see it, Merit System does changed a lot for the betterment of this forum, freeing from shitposting and account farming. But there is some weakness that I always see. Merit farming or an exchange of Merit, its like
"merit me, and I also give merit for you" it makes me think that it abolishes the true intention of merit system. Lack of people who always watched those merit farmer which is totally unfair. Lack of Merit sources in other Section, it is really hard to earn merits even you always post in a good quality.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The opinion about some ICO on: February 18, 2018, 10:31:21 AM
Initial Coin Offering are one of the riskiest move in Cryptocurrency, as it may cause you bigger loses if you don't do some research and examination about the project you are going to join. Some of the ICO are very good at first sale until their last sale, but sometimes their developer left their project because they have now enough amount of money collected. leading to a SCAM Project.
Waiting for about 9 months is a very long run unless that ICO is a very good project that can contribute effectively in the market as well as in the betterment of the society in the near future. There is nothing wrong by giving your trust, but there is something wrong when you give out all your money in which you dont afford to lose.
1391  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Facebook ban on Cryptocurrency Ads on: February 18, 2018, 10:21:11 AM
1392  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to know if the bounty campaign is a scam? on: February 13, 2018, 08:13:13 AM
It is actually hard to recognize if the the bounty or signature campaigns are scam, it is a pain in the ass if the project you joined scammed you. You put a lot of effort and at the same time you spend a lot of time. As of my experience there are  some point to recognize:
1. There is no well designed Website
2. Bounty Manager is not well known
3. Insufficient information about their project, and sometimes the most  promising project can be a scam.

I found a useful review about "Banking on Bitcoin" by Michael Brown

Banking on Bitcoin: A Review

By Michael Brown September 21, 2017 | 9:30 am

The popularity of bitcoin is on the rise. To many, the rising value of bitcoins means that they are a great alternative investment. True, the cryptocurrency is not exactly being used by most people and there are some in the developing world who are not yet aware of bitcoins, but the global currency, which is free from any restrictions from any governments or organization, has not only become very popular, but has also exhibited the value of the blockchain digital ledger technology, which is described by the BBC as “the underlying ledger system on which bitcoin is based”.

Bitcoins is a relatively new currency, and although a lot of the global population knows everything there is to know about it, there are others who are aware of this cryptocurrency but do not have much knowledge on how to use it. Banking On Bitcoin is a documentary that pretty much explains everything about bitcoin inside out and gives a deep insight into this phenomenon.

The Banking on Bitcoin documentary explains the fundamentals of Bitcoin, where and by whom it was founded – and why the creator’s identity still remains a mystery. It also gives some insight into the usefulness of using this cryptocurrency, considering such transactions have no fees or very low fees, and fewer risks in terms of being used online.

It’s clear that bitcoins are yet to be used as normal everyday paper currency, but leading brands in some industries have realized the potential for the cryptocurrency. A case in point is online gaming: some internet casinos, such as Bitcasino, have decided to trade exclusively in bitcoins. The brand also offers a VIP scheme which comes with many benefits, based on a points system. The fact that the operator doesn’t have to pay fees to banks and e-wallet brands allows them to push more promotions to players.

Released in independent cinemas across the United States of America on January 5, 2016 and created by Christopher Cannucciari, Banking on Bitcoin starts with the condensed but informative history of the cryptographic technology, including the significance of Satoshi Nakamoto in the development of the blockchain currency. The documentary explores all angles of bitcoins, and includes interviews with business owners who are using this cryptocurrency, financial columnists from The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, and former New York Superintendent Benjamin Lawsky.

The movie then looks at the state of the bitcoin industry, including its rise and the stumbling blocks in its progress. Banking on Bitcoin does not get shy away from looking at the Silk Road and Mt. Gox cases, as well as Charlie Shrem’s prison sentence for his mistakes with BitInstant, which gives credence to the film. Instead of airbrushing the mistakes, the film actually opens the audience’s eyes to a different side of the phenomenon. Also included are interviews with various people who for some reason or another, oppose the cryptocurrency. As such, it is pleasantly neutral in its coverage.

Considering the rise of bitcoins, there are bound to be more documentaries about it in the coming years, but at the moment Banking on Bitcoin is the most definitive one. For anyone who wants to know about bitcoins or wants to invest in this industry, this movie is a must-watch. It explains, as impartially as it could, the benefits and the pitfalls of using bitcoins in daily life, both online and offline.

1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polymath Scam: Stay Away! on: February 11, 2018, 12:45:26 AM
You have a point, but uploading a very confidential document is a bad idea, during my KYC process in Polymath Airdrop, I uploaded just a simple I.D like driver's license an Expired one lol. I was surprised after filling out their 2nd registration they said wait and you will get your 250 POLYMATH tokens. I waited and received. Now im holding them.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins that disappointed you on: February 11, 2018, 12:32:19 AM
Monero Gold (XMRG) - I bought a lot of XMRG at the price of approximately 800 sats. But after a few hours their price fluctuates up to 2 digits satoshis. Now their Whitepaper and Website is unaccessible. It just really pisses me of as I invest a lot of pennies there. The good things is that they attracted investors becasue they are now listed at coinmarketcap.
1396  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how does it works?!! on: February 10, 2018, 02:44:20 PM
Ranking up and being able to communicate with other members here are one of the factors to be eligible in bounties. I know some of the veteran members here starts at tranlating other language into their native language. It may be a good start for some of the beginners.
They always say ranking up, it is only because most of the bounty programs are requiring a Member rank which is very easy to achieve, you only just need 10 Merits.

You can also join some of the logo making/ designing programs, if you have theses skills.
1397  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 10, 2018, 09:07:29 AM
According to coins.ph na magkakaroon daw ng maintenance ang coins.ph, siguro baka ito na yung official update nila regarding sa implementation ng ETH Wallet. Ito talaga yunh pinakahihintay ko kasi hindi na natin kailangan ibenta ang mga ERC20 into Ethereum and finally into Bitcoin, directly nang maitatransfer ito sa coins.ph

1398  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Samsung for bitcoin on: February 07, 2018, 12:45:27 AM
Kung ang purpose man nito  is for public sale sa Pinas, at kung hindi maayos ng Samsung ang mabilis na pag init ng phone nila
hindi magiging maayos ang takbo ng mining using their phone. Useless lang din namn.
But it will leave a benefit to our fellow people who are used to mining.
1399  Other / Meta / Re: Forums extremely slow for anyone else? on: February 05, 2018, 12:29:44 AM
When I woke up early in the morning, i logged in my account and surprises me with Gateway ERROR 502. I think another DDOS (Distributed Denial Of Service) attack that slows the loading of the forum. Youre not the only one mate.
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: February 04, 2018, 11:55:40 PM
I think you should wait for the official launching of UpCoin Exchange. Upon signing in you they will give you $500 intended only for transaction fees however it is not withdrawable for personal use.
