3141  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Exchange? on: April 02, 2014, 09:04:58 PM
Hi so I have an account over at Virtwox and I brough some linden dollars but it says minimum conversion from SSL to BTC is 0.020 but I only have around 0.009 in my account. So is it possible for any of u to give my 0.009 to my bitcoin address in exchange for the account. I will give u the password and everything. I really need it. I try to buy more but theres something wrong with my credit card

Thanks

Here is my bitcoin address

13oNDmG1K4XBJ558mUcf8yrhnpGXCYGvQG

Now I get it.
Here is a simplified version:
You send this guy 0.009 BTC, and he gives you a VirWox account with 0.009 BTC.
Correct?
I doubt anyone would do this trade, since there is no profit at all...
3142  Economy / Lending / Re: Good Collateral on: April 02, 2014, 04:52:57 PM

Well even tough they sound great , if I have them and I need coins quick , wouldn't I just turn them into Bitcoins?

No.
For example, 1 LTC right now is worth 0.02 BTC (Example)
You send it to a guy and he sends you the BTC back.
After a month, you repay the loan with 0.022 BTC.
He sends you the LTC back, which is now worth 0.05.
= Able to use the bitcoins for what you needed it for, and + 0.028 BTC.
3143  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Exchange? on: April 02, 2014, 04:45:15 PM
Is this supposed to be a loan? Wrong section.
Also, for loans, collateral is needed here.
3144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help For cold storage on: April 02, 2014, 04:44:16 PM
I have an old computer tower lying in my storeroom,

I want to move a few of my bitcoins onto that and keep it there until an emergency occurs.

So what I want to do is ;
Format the pc
Double check for viruses with Malwarebytes and AVG
download a wallet onto that pc
Encrypt that wallet
Send my BTC there
Then shutdown that pc and leave it until needed.

The pc would have the usual user account password etc.
I won't forget the password since it is my wifi passkey Smiley

Good Idea?
Yes ,no, maybe?

And what you will do if your HDD fails? Smiley
Cold storage should have good durability.

I know that HDD might fail just like that - because of a bad day Smiley

Or you might be planning to retrieve your btc and fall over with a cup of water...
Well, make a paper wallet, put it into a safe. Lot safer, you cannot properly protect a computer unless you have loads of money.
Oh, and laminate the paper wallet too.

Is stunna waiting for BTC to finish crashing before he updates the rates?

Its rising is it not? ITs at $490 last time I checked. I personally don't care, in it for the long haul!
This is Bitcoin. It has crashed to 450 since then, and it's looking like it's going to sink below 450 soon. Many kBTC being dumped.

Price is going downhill... Major exchange BTC38 has now stopped RMB deposit, and china is a big market...
3146  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: I want to mine Bitcoin solo, but don't know how to set manual Diff on: April 01, 2014, 06:26:14 PM
Is there any possiblities too solo mine Bitcoin with own Difficulty?
Anyways this is suitable also for the Scrypt mining in other hand as for SHA256
SHA256 mining with solo diff would be preferable thing too do.
Cause I know how to setup that wallet for solo mining, but it is ridicolous too mine at that high diff if it's even possible

The difficulty you solo mine is always current bitcoin network difficulty, which right now is 5,006,860,589.21.
You cannot change that.

Problem fixed, miner can now be seen on leaserig.
There is some sort of a problem though, I'm getting this:
[31/03/2014 05:30:37 PM] API access lost at 31/03/2014 05:30:37!

[31/03/2014 05:30:37 PM] Full API access became read-only access at 11/02/2014 2:18:52 AM!

Something seems to be wrong with the API access. Yes, I am using Method B and CGWatcher. I've stopped CGWatcher from restarting the miner, but those errors are still showing up.

I see maintenance is complete, but now I can't reset my password which means I can't login (can you provide a way to change the password manually please. LastPass doesn't pick up the form you've got on the login page and I can't write to it.

I managed to get in my searching through my emails for the password, but the "Administration" tab is unavailable.

Also, a bunch of miners are off, including mine. Probably because of the allowed ips thing.
I'm pretty sure I added the one you asked us to, but my rig is still off.
I'll update if I find anything new.
3149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Signature Bounty! on: March 31, 2014, 04:19:47 PM
what is love?

I'm not bothered to google it. It's probably some sort of altcoin that isn't really worth anything.
3150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 31, 2014, 04:16:18 PM
Hi,

Are going to introduce scrypt-n coins to CleverMining anytime soon.

Thanks. Wink

Please let me clarify something:
There is no miner that can mine scrypt and scrypt-n at the same time. A seperate pool has to be created, since CleverMining cannot switch your coin algorithms, it can only point at different pools.

Same with SHA-256 and scrypt, you can't have a pool with same ip that can switch between them.

Ah that explains it! Full Member status at Activity 120 I guess? P.S. I read about the rates changing depending on whether or not Ritz pays their advertisers.

Yes, it is something like a martingale. For the next level you need twice as much time... Cool
It's a good system, would suck to see full and sr members that registered 3-4 months ago, lol.

Double lol, I have been a Full Member for a month already and registered just 5 months ago (should be a Senior in June as I got it)... Grin

It seems that we are both around exactly the same position lol.
Anyway, so are rates changing to day depending on Ritz?
3152  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LeaseRig.net Rent & Hire SHA/SCRYPT/DARK/QUARK HashPower! on: March 31, 2014, 03:54:12 PM
Question: What maintenance is being carried out right now? The hashing time is still credited, correct?
3153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem sending bitcoin on: March 31, 2014, 03:50:40 PM
How many confirmations does a transaction need before it's complete (if that's the correct term Smiley ? I have sent a few cents to my paper wallet to try it out, the transaction now has 5 confirmations, could I go ahead & send my BTC now? Does 5 confirmations mean the paper wallet is OK for use?
If you recieve some bitcoins for payment, it's better if you wait for 1 confirmation, and if it's a lot of bitcoins, then 2 confirmations.
For "Complete", 0 confirmations is complete. Confirmations just ensure that the funds are valid.
3154  Economy / Services / Re: [ Hiring ] Bitcoin Consultant on: March 30, 2014, 07:43:04 PM
I can help you with 2) as I have spend a lot of time researching and dealing with the blockchain.

Same here. You don't really have to pay. It's better if you ask more than one person.
3155  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Bitcoin farm in PC case? Anyone done it yet? on: March 30, 2014, 06:23:51 PM
OMG... Actually, why the heck are you using ASICMINER Block Erupter USBs....
Seriously....
Those things are literally useless right now... Get a AntMiner S1 or two...

Read what the owner of the 20GH/s just said mate. Smiley

Still fishy. We did not know there was such private server, and he doesn't even appear in the active users page.
3158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 30, 2014, 12:51:55 PM

Terk, why are some miners not being reported on the All Active Users page??  Such as this one:

http://www.clevermining.com/users/1BT9cPLGRep7nXnvo9JoXn6H7sSd5Em2WE

They were asking for privacy so their username was hidden from user lists. This is the only modification that was made for them.

Why is the 20GH/s whale the only one who is able to mine during this ddos attack?

Everyone else's hashrate reports 0, but his hashrate is seemingly unaffected:
http://www.clevermining.com/users/1BT9cPLGRep7nXnvo9JoXn6H7sSd5Em2WE

The pool's current hashrate matches his hashrate exactly.  You previously said that the only modification made for him was removing his username from the user lists.  Does he also have access to his own clevermining server?  Does he pay a lower fee than all of us too?  Are the rest of the miners here subsidizing him in any way?

Sorry, Terk, but I smell something fishy.
On that guy's last 10 minute stats, the reject rate is compared to a server named "Private B".
He definitely has a private clevermining server.

Anybody care to explain picture below as well?

I see more and more of these unconfirmed blocks at Ghash

Block orphans.
