is it not possible to trace DDOS attacks in some way (I have no idea)
It is possible to trace the DDOS attacks, to an IP address. But the hacker can easily be using a vpn or tor to hide his real IP.

Solution: Your car is registered, I suppose? Drivers license, and if needed ask police to prove you own the car. Second, so that people don't think your account got hacked, sign a message with your BTC Address.
Even if he did sign a message with his BTC address it wouldn't prove anything because that could of been hacked too but its a start I guess. Well, then a PGP.

Regarding the world population, it's sure small, but if we compare to the number of people owning gold (coins or bars), or stocks, BTC isn't bad. And it's growing.
It's growing a lot, a ton of people are hearing about bitcoin now, which is a good thing, since it's over the news, the TV, and everywhere.

That's condescending. ...which means to talk down to people. I can understand peoples frustration with Cryptsy but I don't think the negligence is intentional.
I use Cryptsy and stick with 'proper' coins, BTC, LTC, PPC etc and have never had any real issues over the past 3 months.
Yep. It's like he is accusing us and saying it's our own fault.

I learned that in a whole month I could make 0.00102704 BTC with my computer.
No, you could not. Difficulty will rise every 2016 blocks (~12-14 days) and your revenue will drop. I want to go at 1.2 GH/s to generate a good amount of bitcoins a month. But is making a mining Rig worth it? I don't plan to Buy bitcoins, I plan to mine them.
No. You wouldn't get a good amount of bitcoin with 1.2 GH/s. No. It doesn't worth it. Mine scrypt, a lot more profitable.

Seeing as Cryptsy is clearly hurting many coin communities here by frivolously adding coins then not supporting them correctly, refusing to suspend new registrations when they are overwhelmed with registrations, allowing coins to go missing from customer accounts, blatantly lying to customers, and trapping people in their exchange for weeks or longer, I would like to help organize group action against Cryptsy to put pressure on them to resolve these issues in manner that doesn't result in the user base suffering while they profit. I have personally had coins trapped there for a half of a month as of today, and I know there are many others suffering from Cryptsy's negligence. They are only doing this because NO ONE IS PUSHING BACK. Let Cryptsy know playing with your money isn't a game they want to play. Possible plans: -Group protests at their HQ -Social media campaigns exposing their negligence (like done with BFL) -Class action lawsuits What do you think is the best way to do this?
LETS PUSH BACK
Change exchange if you don't like cryptsy. This is for the sake of the community, not for personal gain. I see you are a selfish money-grabbing bastard. Now go away.

Hi, first post. I'm trying to make myself a paper wallet on bitaddress.org but when I go to print it out the private key on the right hand side prints over/under the words underneath it on the page. Help anyone? I don't want to use the paper wallet that my Blockchain wallet made me because when I close and reopen it, it's the same. This makes me think it's saved somewhere and hence not 'cold storage'. I was following this tutorial... https://blockchain.info/wallet/paper-tutorialEDIT: If the printout that Blockchain is giving me each time is stored then couldn't somebody that hacks my online wallet see my watch only wallet and then print out the same paper wallet for themselves from my account? First, it is a problem with your printer. And reopening it is the same because it's the same address, bitaddress.org generates different ones every time. And yes, with blockchain.info it's "saved somewhere", since it is a online service and you are trusting blockchain to keep your bitcoins safe. You can simply write down the bitcoin address and the private key.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I store Bitcoin on a 16 MB SD card?

Ah, finally I understood But another last question: In Multibit I could spend my complete wallet balance at once. At first It sent the BTC received with other adresses to the first adress and then to the receiving adress. Everything full automatic. Is this in Electrum automatic too, or do I have to do this manually? e.g. 1 BTC is on adress 123, 1.5 BTC are on abc and 0.5 on xyz - now I could send all 3 BTC at once. It sent 1.5 + 0.5 to adress 123 and then all 3 to the adress, receiving it. Everything in one transaction. Yes. That happens with almost all wallets, and no hassle required.

But what if I receive 5 BTC with adress "123" and 5 BTC with adress "abc"? I can spend the sum of 10 BTC from a third adress "xyz", if all three adresses are in the same wallet. Even if I never received a single Bitcoin with adress "xyz" .....
So if I have written down the seed and backed up my wallet.dat (or how it's named) my Bitcoins are safe from getting lost by PC crash, even if I create a new adress and receive Bitcoin with it later than the PC crash? Or am I wrong?
You cannot send BTC from xyz if your funds are in 123 and abc. Also, your wallet is safe, unless someone gets your private key and spends your bitcoins.
