1741  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin Worth Is 1000000$ on: March 01, 2017, 11:29:03 PM

* Not to sound pessimist but be aware of 'pump and dump' situation. Right now pump is at peak, wait for dump.

I think pump peak is yet to be obtained, we have still more than one week before the SEC decision on ETF.  We are aware of the fact that the nearer we get to the  event, the bigger the hype and influence it will make to the market.  So probably price will still climb maybe to almost $1300 before the event date.  I just hope ETF to be approved so we can celebrate with higher Bitcoin price.
1742  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: March 01, 2017, 10:57:09 PM
The current bitcoin price its a fact that bitcoin can be manipulated, and all does like it, because they are able to make extra money with these fluctuations. The thing is these high pumps will come with bigger dumps, soo you should know those before you invest, but, crypto world is plenty of opportunities to make money.

I think the current price is  more of  an influenced than a manipulation due to a certain event to happen.  Manipulation is increasing and decreasing in price without any reason, while influence may increase and decrease in price according to the source of influence.  Manipulator does not need to manipulate the market if it go to their likings and somehow the recent event is agreeing with their plan.
1743  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: March 01, 2017, 10:35:40 PM
has much to say that soon bitcoin crashes will happen, but I guess it's just to say to people who feel panic when the price of bitcoin down. Well, I do not believe it. besides, bitcoin will surely have a high price, and stable.

I think at the current state, it is all depend on the decision of SEC.  If ETF is disapproved then Bitcoin will certainly crash, I guess a backward price of less than $1000 but not lower than $800.  A good opportunity for us to buy cheap coin.  But if ETF is approved, crash wont happen anytime soon.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Chain of Points - Transforming Loyalty Into Rewards - ICO LIVE!!! on: March 01, 2017, 09:26:28 PM
Hire a a graphic designer for your project. Your ANN thread seems to be dull . I want to apply on translation bounty of ANN thread to Philippine language. Please gave complete detail of the ICO and the bounty programs. Thank you
It is not important that someone decorate their announcement thread for getting the success but the loyalty of the developers is more important. But there are some people who when look at an attractive announcement then they do not feel bored to study on that thread for that reason you can redesign.

I really agree on this.  There are several altcoin thread announcement that looks very professional but been proven to be a scam / scum project at the end.  For me I would rather have a great developer that are dedicated on their project and stay in their worlds than great graphic designer that does not know how to code or implement their whitepaper.  Though having both ( professional design and dedicated dev team) will surely boost the investors interest to the project.
1745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is your favorite gambling game? on: February 28, 2017, 11:41:48 PM
I am not into gambling but sporst betting got my interest.  Aside from being entertaining, it also have positive reviews regarding on the possibility of winning.  Poker and blackjack is the next thing but I prefer poker between the two.  The last is of my favorite is Dice since it is simple and easy to play and it is almost everywhere.
1746  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: February 28, 2017, 11:20:06 PM
Like many people already said is that the paper money future is not so good because it has the digital word against.
Everything these days will get digital the world is really changing.

Indeed!  The paper money is doomed!.  Even if the government does not approve cryptocurrency, they still have this digital money in their arsenal and the cashless system that I think is being practiced in some country.  If this cashless system is proven to be effective or successful where it was tested then probably this will be adopted by every government.
1747  Other / Off-topic / Re: How are you earning BTC? on: February 28, 2017, 11:11:54 PM
So as of this moment, I'm only earning bitcoin through a signature campaign here on bitcointalk forum.

How are you earning bitcoin?

In my case, I got my earning now in bitcoin faucets. More on reading on this forum while promoting my rank then I do trade in exchanges platform form minimum amount only.

I would not say Bitcoin faucet is a waste of time, any addition is important especially if you we are just starting in Bitcoin.  I also get some satoshi in Bitcoin faucets when I have free time.  Aside from that, I also enrolled in a campaign and luckily had been accepted so I got a better way to get Bitcoin.  I would like to learn trading to increase my BTC holding but probably it will take sometime.
1748  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it profitable to run a Bitcoin faucet in 2017 on: February 27, 2017, 06:41:13 PM
To be honest i don't think its profitable to run a bitcoin faucet anymore. The competition is way too high. Look at the micro earning section. It's filled with faucet link.
You have to provide something unique to stand outside and survive. You also need to make spend enough time to make sure no one abuses the faucet. Not worth spending your time.

Well it is still possible to be profitable to run a bitcoin faucet, from your reply there are ways to generate traffic.  For a newbie maybe it will be a waste of time but for those who have master the art of click baiting then it will be very profitable for that person.
1749  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: February 27, 2017, 06:20:36 PM
In the future, paper money will disappear, it will be replaced by another currency. In other words, paper money will become worthless because many countries print more money to stimulate the economy, the value of paper money will decrease serious. And i think electronic money will be the main currency in the future because it safe, fast and ensure transparency
paper money will not be replaced with another currency. paper money only will rejuvenate become more sophisticated and more flexible. The new version will be even more likely to be digital

Well i think the future of paper money is it will still be in our future. I agree that technology right niw is in a very fast pace but think about it, there are still a lot of countries that can't catch up with how fast technology is. Digital currency may become one of the top currencies that world will use in the future but i don't think paper moneybwould be obsolete in any way because a lot of people will still have a need for it's use
yes the use of technology is increasing from time to time and now i can expect that bitcoin is the future of money and hope that very soon the majority of the people will be using bitcoin for buying and selling in their local shops.
yes there is no doubt that bitcoin is the future money money, because the use of bitcoin is increasing continuously and more and more people are entering in the world of bitcoin, and specially for online purpose people have already changed their option to bitcoin.

I doubt that Bitcoin is the future of money, remember it needs to be adopted by the government and use it as a main currency or recognized as main currency by majority of the nation in the world, and I doubt that will happen.  I believe that the technology of Bitcoin will be used and will kill paper money eventually.

1751  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000+ is perfectly possible in a post-ETF era on: February 27, 2017, 03:37:27 AM
And please, understand that i don't mean that the price will immediately pump to $10,000+, im just saying that if the SEC approves ETF (and it will, if not on 11th, then the next time, it will happen eventually) we will see new, never seen before, streams of money coming into bitcoin.

I don't know if you understand what ETF really means. This is huge for the non-geek investor to hold bitcoin. It will be possible for anyone to go into their local banks, and tell the employee to but you some COIN shares, anyone can do this. Once people get gains with that, it will spread, everyone can get in with no technical knowledge about bitcoin in a safe, regulated way. So all those old millionaires, or your regular person that just wants to hold BTC but isn't really sure how to do it, will be able to get in thanks to the COIN shares. Of course I personally recommend people to learn how to buy and hold actual BTC, but we can expect everyone to do that and COIN will be 'it', the missing link to get the average investor that is not into cryptography/computer stuff. This means potentially billions of increase on the marketcap. With some time price going x10 is perfectly plausible. How long it will take? I don't know, but it opens the door for that possibility to happen.

I think even without ETF  Bitcoin will reach $10,000 if we are talking about the long term price of BTC.  Having all the issue with Bitcoin fixed or solved, Bitcoin will eventually get there at $10,000 a piece.  But if ETF will be approved, it will hasten Bitcoin to reach that price because of the massive investment pouring in the Bitcoin economy.
1752  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think bull run coming soon on: February 27, 2017, 02:42:50 AM
I think bulls have been charging for almost a month now.  As a matter of fact they have been charging even before 2017.  Probably you are saying, Bulls are getting charged up like Bulls in a steroid.

The most important thing is having a bitcoin price above $1000 for the rest of the year (preferably +$1100 forever ofc) then loosing one hundred then recovering it shouldn't be a problem, the essential thing is a positive rise at the end  Wink

I think the scalability issue is much important than bitcoin being at $1000, because if Bitcoin scalability issue is fixed, I am sure we would have been sitting in $2000 by now, pairing with the possible ETF approval.
1753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready to BUYDL on: February 27, 2017, 01:46:32 AM
I love it when "experts" tell you what the price will do.

In my experience they know barely more than you and I.

I think if its approved it will not be a direct bee line to $3500 but I think it will get there eventually of course.

I also don't think the price will drop to $600.  I think people all over the world are buying bitcoin for different reasons and the least of which is the Winklevoss ETF.

I think $600 is extreme for Bitcoin to drop  that low, though I will I agree that ETF being disapproved will somehow push the price of Bitcoin down to I think at most  $800.  Though I kinda see that $3500 if no one  will do a massive dump with their BTC during the rise will definitely be touched with that 300 million dollar added to the Bitcoin Economy, it may even exceed it.
1754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Surpass All-Time High While We Wait for the ETF? on: February 27, 2017, 12:01:32 AM
I personally don't even feel that the Bitcoin ETF is going to be approved based on the pure fact of how volatile and risky Bitcoin is and how easy it would be, based on past history of bitcoin volatility, for an investor to lose all their earnings very quickly.

I'm not saying this risk isn't present when it comes to trading stocks, but everyone here knows bitcoin is much more risky then stocks. In the off-chance for approval, I don't think the Bitcoin price will be affected in a major way due to it, maybe it'll jump a bit then fall a bit.

In this bull run, all that matters is what people's perceptions are. If people think that there is a good chance of the ETF getting approved, the price will increase like crazy. In the end, if it doesn't get approved, we will have a huge crash.

It is true, if the ETF is disapproved, the once bull charge will be a bull trap.  Bulls will be burn by their own charge and price will definitely go down.  I can see whales taking advantage of the news to crash the market and buy Bitcoin at the lowest possible price.
1755  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX COIN ETF 51.49% Approval on: February 26, 2017, 11:47:29 PM
Things are changing, maybe the ETF will get approved after all, at least the markets are starting to believe so...

https://www.bitmex.com/app/trade/COIN_BH17

Forget that nonsense!
Even if it is 100% who believe it will get approved, it will have no influence on the SEC's decision.
And I'm very doubtful to be honest. There are many people who think so as well and can't wait for the dump to happen.
The good thing here is when many prepare themselves to get cheap coins this could mean that we will see a strong bounce.
On the other hand something completely different might happen who knows.

Lol why so anti-climatic?  Let as enjoy the thought that ETF will be approved but have ourselves reserved for the possible decline of that ETF.  As what OP said positive sentiment can't hurt Grin

Positive sentiment can't hurt  Grin
1756  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin break its own record !! on: February 26, 2017, 11:29:59 PM
The future is not in my hands, but my coins do. So I have decided to sell a good part of my coins at this price. I don't know if this was a good decision, but in case of a new drop below $1000 I will be celebrating my decision, but if price breaks that $2000 so largely expected, at least I have enjoyed my spent coins and will have new chances to get more coins.

Well it is your coin and I think there is no bad decision if you have profit in your trade.  If Bitcoin price drop which is possible in my opinion, then you can always buy them at lower price.
About Bitcoin ATH, I wonder if Bitcoin will surge to higher price like $1300 if ETF is not approved.  I have a feeling that the price will drop if the decision is negative.
1757  Economy / Speculation / Re: I don't want a $2,000 bitcoin by February on: February 26, 2017, 11:05:18 PM
When everyone expects the price to go up, it will go down or stay without moving. That's how it works.
"Sell the rumor, buy the fact", it is a well known rule in financial markets, but it seems the bitcoin market is broken all these old rules, so perhaps this is not applicable for bitcoin too.

LOl actually it is not only bitcoin but the whole cryptocurrency.  what would we expect?  Well, about the price up and down, I think as long as the market is unsaturated, the price will continually to increase.  So for now, since Bitcoin market is greatly unsaturated, we can expect bitcoin to continuously rise, there maybe some dip but eventually it will go rise again until its market reach the full saturation level.
1758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready to SODL on: February 26, 2017, 10:42:25 PM
Time for another round of profit taking if we hit 1200$.
I am not finding that bitcoin will make turn around $1200 levels this time as it is marching with the target of $1500 levels. Hopefully by the time of bitcoin etf gets approval, I believe bitcoin prices will reach this remarkable level of $1500. Because there is a strong sentiment among traders like bitcoin will test $2000 levels too.

If $2000 will be possible, I guess we need to forget completely about profit booking for time being as bitcoin will get more investors through media coverage hence the next target of $5k or $10k also easily viable in quick time.

I also see bitcoin bulls charging for another $100 increase, I may say $1300  before the ETF decision and if it is approved we can see Bulls charging to $1500.  If ETF is disapproved then this bull charge will become bull trap LOL.  And will support OP decision of taking profit at $1200.
1759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100 Ways To Earn Bitcoin ★★★★★ on: February 26, 2017, 10:30:29 PM
30: sell cars for bitcoin? In that case you also can include "sell groceries, sell houses, sell books, sell boats, sell planes", etc, etc, and you easily will fill the available spots to end your list, it isn't?

lol this will definitely fill that 100 ways in no time.  This should have some category somehow and just list the stuff that belongs to the category, anyway this is really an important list to give us an idea of the possible way to get bitcoin aside from buying it.
1760  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would you consider a new ATH? on: February 25, 2017, 01:01:29 PM
Record is record I think the new ATH should pass the price of Mt.Gox even though it was manipulated way back that year,  the price touched $1242, and it was one of the biggest exchange platform back then.  So for me the new ATH would be surpassing $1242  per Bitcoin.
