1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Danger that awaits few coins on: January 12, 2020, 09:52:07 AM

About that BNB, why should it have a use case outside the platform? Until people code dapps for that bep2 platform it's just coin for decentralized exchange.
I don't understand your point on POS, it's just another way of mining and dilutes the supply same way as POW, how does it effect to price comes back to the supply and how fast does it rise.

Having other use case than being an exchange utility token is always a good thing.  If BNB enable its native token to be used outside BNB, then its market dominance will surely expand.  More usability means more demand.
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Forks Are Bad? on: January 11, 2020, 03:55:53 PM
It's simple to see and yet many failed to see the truth, many said coin forks are bad because they are just copycat of the original coin well so far all forks from popular coins are doing well, last bullrun all forks like bitcoincash, Ethereum classic, litecoincash all bring huge profits more than their original mothers, who says forks are bad? I thought we are all here for the profits? Honestly aren't this coins more better than most new coins of nowadays?

Bitcoin gold, bitcoin private, zclassic and etc, i knew some you made fortunes out of these forks, these coins are better

I think this depends on the intentions of fork. If the fork is done just to money grab then it is very bad but if it is done to fix glitches and bugs then it is good.  Sadly, the coins you mentioned are just for money grab and that is really bad.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining crypto by walking on: January 11, 2020, 03:21:14 PM
A couple of years ago, there was a crypto project named "MangoCoinz" which allowed anyone to earn crypto by simply walking. The app used the smartphone's pedometer to keep track of the steps taken by an specific person. This encouraged anyone to exercise their body while getting paid in return. While this was great back then, the project is no longer being developed. Something like this would've been great to have in the mainstream world today, but I guess there was lack of demand for it back then.

I'd hope that someday a new dev team takes charge of the "MangoCoinz" project or simply create a fork of their own, to allow people to "mine" crypto by walking. It's completely revolutionary way of doing exercise while getting paid in return. Maybe launching an ERC-20 token with its own app will do the trick? Whichever way it is, I look forward towards the revival of an app that would work just like "MangoCoinz" did in its early days.

Do you think something like this will be viable in the future? Huh

I think it is, the only problem is when people find an exploit for this.  Remember the game pokemon go.  We search for pokemon and battle it while we are walking or moving from one place to another.  Then comes an exploit where you can virtually move yourself by running some apps.  I think this will be one of the challenge if such project appears in the future.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about NEO? on: January 11, 2020, 02:45:57 PM
For once, NEO was the hottest Blockchain project in the crypto space. Prices were well above $100 per coin, and there was a lot of excitement among people within the mainstream world. With quick transaction speeds and ridiculously low fees, NEO stands up against other popular smart contract platforms like ETH and EOS. An advantage of NEO relative to its competitors is that smart contracts can be developed in various well-known programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, and Python. In the case of ETH, you'll have to learn a new programming language (Solidity) that's not as tried and tested as other languages within the mainstream world. On other hand, EOS uses WebAssembly but this language is relatively new. Mainstream developers might find it easier to develop new dApps within the NEO blockchain than either ETH or EOS.

Most recently, NEO has announced that it will be upgrading to NEO 3.0. The cryptocurrency has been rather silent since Bitcoin began decreasing in price back in 2018. This improved version of NEO might attract a lot of people into it. But the cryptocurrency needs a lot of marketing/promotion to be able to gain traction within the mainstream world.

What do you think about NEO? Will it survive? Or will fade from existence over time? Huh

I am one of those who think NEO is one of the best project ever appeared in crypto space.  Even though they are quite silent in this past months, I believe NEO are continuously developing the project and in due time they will be able to survive any obstacle.   About fading, well there is no permanent in this world, time will come that NEO have to cease its operation but when is still unknown.
1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming from altcoin to bitcoin on: January 11, 2020, 01:58:47 PM
I don't know if its the right call or not but i just feel like its better to sell my bags of altcoins for bitcoin, most of the altcoins i owned are not top altcoins, mostly new coins from bounties and I've seen coins worth of 2k turn 20$ while holding them, finally i decide to take out the losses and invest in bitcoin, if you are holding any altcoins that aren't good enough do not hesitate to sell for bitcoin to at least make some profits

This depends on the activity of altcoin.  If the one I holding happens to be dying, then I will not hesitate to convert it to Bitcoin but if the one I am holding have a huge community and delivers its roadmap then, I won't sell it to Bitcoin at a lost.  I will wait till I can get my capital back or have at least a little profit before exchanging it to Bitcoin.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will the price of LTC peak again in 2020? on: January 11, 2020, 10:52:51 AM
it is very unlikely for ltc because it did not make any progress in 2019 and the fact that charlie did not do any development last year proven the project already lacks vitality and capable person in running it. we will see a bull again and ltc will go up too without exception, but do not think it will reach its ath again because it has nothing to offer.

Indeed, it seems Charlie is already done with Litecoin, he almost sold his holdings so I think he just don't care anymore how slow the development of Litecoin will be since his don't have that much benefits anymore.  These new partnership is just some cover for the lack of development of Litecoin, though I also think that it will, from time to time, get pump but after that will surely a heavy dump from major holder of the coins.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will the price of LTC peak again in 2020? on: January 10, 2020, 09:12:13 AM
I do not think that the event OP stated is enough to make LTC peak again in 2020.  Many investors lost their trust on that coin after the developer himself dump almost all his LTC holdings when crypto market is on its peak.  The founder may have his reason but a dump is a dump that crashes LTC price.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Crypto - Part 1 - Top Websites to Find Crypto Jobs on: January 10, 2020, 08:15:26 AM
I think bounty campaigns are still the largest crypto job providers because there are not many people who know technical stuff related to crypto or blockchains so they cannot get areal career or job in this field, on the other hand despite the slow bounty market from last many months it still is the best market that has provided huge rewards too even to the average guy historically, i hope bounties will be back to normal soon as they do provide largescale employment to community.
But bounty campaigns are not making senses this days, imagine working for months and end up with no payment? Real life job is still better but for those who don't care about time wasted they might get lucky trying over again

And yet you are still a bounty hunter.  Isn't a bounty campaign a real life job?  Though it maybe on the internet but it is still considered a job.  Anyway, this forum had been one of the top websites where you can find Crypto jobs.  May it be Bounty campaign, website designs, programming, etc.  you can find it in both altcoin service and Service on bitcoin sub board.
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much projects, good projects cant reach crypto ethusiasts on: January 10, 2020, 07:50:38 AM
Hello

So i have been in a crypto world for about a year now (yeah you guessed it, right after that BTC pump) and I have started to notice that the crypto industry became full of pointless ICO projects that are spending millions for promotion and promises they do not fulfill.

First they do not spend millions, they promise millions for bounty hunters for their promotion and they do not fulfill the promise.

I have been checking new projects that I find on coinmarketcap or that I see in crypto ads or twitter ads and i have come to the conclusion that they are mostly the same or they do not really stand out.

My question is how do newly developed projects that are not an ICO and don't have millions for ads even promote themselves? Where can you find them?

It is rare to see this kind of project, most of the project were launched just for money grab.  Those that were launch without crowfunding are moving very slow due to lack of funding.

I have said this already, but i believe there should be a section where we could discuss projects that we believe have a bright future and need help with their promotion.

Too many good ideas die because of lacking funds...

Thoughts?

Ideas are just ideas, even scam ICO have great ideas, the thing is they died not because of lack of funding but because of lack of ability to make those ideas to come true.  That includes lack of ability to gather fund for the project.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: January 10, 2020, 07:02:59 AM
The main rule on this cryptocurrency is that invest the spare money that you have because investing in new projects is not 100% guaranteed profitable, sometimes it is a fail subject even though it has a good white paper. So to avoid losing all of your money, only invest the spare money that you have so that it will not be a burden to you if you lose money.

It is not only a rule in cryptocurrency but it is a universal rule that we must invest what we have in excess.  Just for example, money that is saved (taken out after allocating daily expenses) are also called our money in excess/reserved.  And when it comes to investment we should be wise about it.  Do our own research, be vigilant, do not trust marketers and promoters easily and check the validity of project team skills.  Because they are the one to make the project successful not just any whitepaper or promises.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex no longer asks for verification of new users on: January 09, 2020, 03:30:03 PM
I think it is logical to say that kyc is not needed anymore since the exchange headquarters is moved to a place where crypto is not regulated.  And aside from that since it had changed hand, it is also possible that this is just a marketing scheme for new users to come in.  It may or may not be a trap, who knows.  Also I do not think Justin Sun will ruin his reputation since he has lots to lose if he do bad things.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How i presently feel about bounties on: January 09, 2020, 02:48:50 PM
I'm starting to think its better to promote bounty projects with low allocation like 30k to 50k because they never failed to pay hunters, even if these projects find it hard to met softcap it will be easy to pay bounty rewards, this might be because of bear market but gone are those day of thousands dollar worth bounty rewards unless new wave of market movement takes place

I won't bother looking at project that have low allocation for bounty hunters.  Remember bounty hunters are the front runner of a campaign.  They attract investors through their advertisements so they should not undermine the effort of every bounty hunter and so the bounty hunter should take pride of their work and at least know their worth. with $50k divided by more than thousands of participants and be done by several months, how much do you think is your payment per month once the bounty is done let alone it takes several months for these projects to pay bounty hunters.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reality of Crypto Winter and what to expect from now on on: January 09, 2020, 02:38:58 PM
The crypto winter of 2018 and 2019 did flushed out many nonsense projects and the market has significantly matured over the last few years, it's exactly what i expect from the long crypto bear market.

In this year i expect accelerating crypto asset adoption and the key building blocks will come into place for crypto to achieve it's long term potential of revolutionizing how value can be stored and send around the world.

It did flushed out many nonsense projects but it does not stop nonsense project to appearing in the crypto space.  And I think crypto asset adoption will move the same way as before because the crypto space is yet to be regulated and lots of scam projects are still emerging.  Crypto adoption will be accelerated once these scam projects is stopped from reaching the crypto market through regulations.
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO finally admitted shilling both BTC and BNB on: January 09, 2020, 02:15:30 PM
The CEO of popular cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao, has admitted that he personally has been shilling not only his exchange’s own utility coin, Binance Coin (BNB), but also Bitcoin (BTC).

Zhao asserts that what is good for Bitcoin is good for BNB and it is his interest, and the cryptocurrency community’s at large, for both to be doing well.

Click here to read the full news

Okay now that he admitted, is it a good thing just for the meantime?

For me, I think I’m a bit surprised about him admitting that. Shilling both BNB and BTC? How do you guys react on this one?

Do you think Changpeng Zhao’s shilling both cryptos are reasonable? Or it should not be necessary at all? I would like to hear some of your feedback, opinion or reaction about CZ’s shilling?

Cheers!

It is not a surprise that he shill his own coin and BTC.  It is given knowing how he pumped hard his own coin up to almost $40.  And yes it is reasonable.  You need to market your own enterprise and that is what CZ is doing.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Strategy: Withdraw 50% ETH and looking to invest in Altcoin on: January 08, 2020, 02:38:31 PM
I guess OP had done his research.  If he saw Titan as profitable venture and had done all the necessary research, then he should do it.  I think ETH will be crashing anytime soon due to the sudden influx of supply cause by the activation of POS.  Though I hope this post is not to promote Titan..
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum after hard fork Istanbul on: January 08, 2020, 02:19:00 PM
Maybe other participants of the forum will try to dissuade me from buying this coin?

Since you asked for it, here you are:
For me all investments in PoS coins were a disappointment. All this happened before 2018.
And it makes sense. Just imagine, for Ethereum: in the past 2 years whoever wanted to accumulate, had plenty of opportunities to buy. After becoming PoS all these whales will have free coins to dump/sell.
Will this make the price rise or fall?  Wink

If we look at it, it will definitely fall,  surplus of supply, and lacking in demand..  Damn am I seeing $1 ETH in the future?
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a cell phone on: January 08, 2020, 02:01:02 PM
Stanford grads find a way to mine on a cell phone.
500K+ downloads. Protected Google app.
Earn everyday.
weminepi.com

Pi is not yet ready to trade till now. How many coin we will get for 24hours mining? Does it consume too much space in mobile? Does it consume too much energy? Faster device will mine more coins than old/slower cheap? Please answer these questions. App will be safe as google store has stored it, it seems

If you are talking about PI, I believe the daily reward is the same whether you have an old CP or the high end new brand as long as the app is compatible.  The only thing that will have you an advantage is for you to have lots of referral.  The more people you refer on the PI network the bigger the bonuses you will get.  PI network is just a simulation and there is really no mining activity when you run it.

I agree that it is not advisable to mine on a mobile phone, it will cost you more than your mining profit.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will binance reach $23 as per experts prediction? on: January 07, 2020, 07:47:04 AM
Yeah of course BNB will reach 23$. The team are really working with good motive. Binance CEO is a smart man and always thrive for the best so i believe with time the coin will moon pass the initial 23$ prediction
That's right, and I'm also convinced by the struggle carried out by the CEO of Binance, he continues to do the best for their platform that can make their token prices more expensive this year.

Well, CZ is a very crafty marketer.  He knows how to make publicities and make a huge impact in the market.  I can say he is capable of making BNB goes back to $23 or even higher.  And don't forget they have huge fund in reserve that can be use to pump BNB price anytime they want.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Central Bank of Venezuela running node for Bolivar Altcoin on: January 07, 2020, 06:27:39 AM
I would say it's a rogue employee, or some branch that's allowed to take a look at the crypto solutions for the current problems with Venezuelan Bolivar. By all means i can't see them taking this alt seriously. I think they ran it because they were just curious and had free time.

Same thought came to my mind.  Probably one of the staff took notice of Bolivar altcoin and use the Central Bank of Venezuela internet connection to run a node.  It is a free usage since all the bills will be directed to the Bank.  I do not believe that it is the Central Bank itself that runs the node.
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will binance reach $23 as per experts prediction? on: January 07, 2020, 05:31:08 AM
Binance Coin has been supported heavily by Binance Exchange, if you are asking if it will reach $23, I would say yes it will but when is still unknown.  If the owner decided to pump BNB to a certain price, I believe they can but not now because it is time for them to accumulate cheaper  BNB before they pump it hard.
