1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Has More Trading Volume Than XRP (But Is It Real?) on: January 21, 2020, 10:59:34 AM
It is not only BSV that has more volume than XRP,  if you look at the CMC today, XRP is at number 9, meaning there are 7 more beside Bitcoin that has more trading volume than XRP and yet XRP still remain number 3 on ranking for the main reason that XRP have lots of token in circulation and that CMC ranking is broken  Grin.

Anyway, I don't care who have the bigger trading volume as long as XRP delivers its roadmap and gives profit in the long run.

BTW, aren't you surprise that Tether has higher trading volume than Bitcoin?
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stablecoins Promote the Mass Adoption of Cryptocurrencies? on: January 21, 2020, 10:43:30 AM
Simple answer: No.. it won't promote Mass adoption of Cryptocurrency.  Stablecoins removed the hyped of volatility, which in the early phase of a adoption attracts investors.  They removed the the possible profit of the incoming investors thus taking their interest away.  Investors are the first explorer of any ventures, removing their profit means shutting them out.

It's just easier to start with a stable coin, to buy that first with your credit card and only after to exchange those stable coins
for some crypto-currency.
Why do I need to bother 2 steps when I can make a 1 step moves, it even saves me from extra fees.

Stable coin is good for traders, if you wish to avoid certain drops and keep your dollar value intact you
can exchange any coin for a stable coin while the bear market lasts.

Doesn't this method incur losses?

As an investment stable coins will remain stable and bond to certain value, that's why they are not the objects of my interest.
I am interested just in long-term investments that can be very profitable in years to come.

And this is just an indirect way of saying it won't help in Adoption of cryptocurrency.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of a bounty manager. on: January 21, 2020, 10:28:02 AM
That is why there is a bounty manager, why are you whining about your work OP?  Bounty manager's task is to oversee the bounty campaign.  It is your task to check for cheaters, scammers and filter participants.  And calculate their payments and pass it to the management team.  If you are not willing to do the task assigned to you then better not to manage any campaign.

Those who register thousands of accounts are not bounty hunters, they are cheaters that disguised to be a bounty hunter.  And it is your task to spot them so there is no reason for you to whine about it.  Besides if you properly contract a deal, you have been paid even before the job started unlike those bounty hunters that waits a very long time before being paid.

Bounty manager is an extension of the team to manage their bounty project, and of course we as bounty participants also cannot 100% blame the bounty manager, if indeed the project fails and is fraudulent, because to my knowledge the managers are also paid when the project is finished unless the manager who handles bounty projects with BTC fees usually there will be someone who acts as an escrow so that payments for bounty participants will be guaranteed, but if the project pays with coin ico of course the manager will get paid after the project is complete and all spreadsheet data has been sent to the project team, but if the project is fraudulent, of course the manager will usually not get paid the same as the bounty participants.
How do you know if the manager was getting paid before managing the campaign? as far as I know that bitcoin campaign is really different from the altcoin campaign. In bitcoin campaign, there was a lot of managers who are putting escrow as the first requirement before he starts his job but in altcoin campaign, the manager will be getting paid after the end of the bounty campaign. Remember so many altcoin campaigns were using their free tokens to pay the hunters and manager. Not all of the team from altcoin can be trusted as they were not even sending the token to the escrow but they are all of the control over the tokens and this make altcoin bounty campaign just like a bit bet for the participants and manager.

I believe they have deals before the manager accept the job.  Part of it that a bounty manager demand is an upfront of 20% to 50% of payment, typical of any deals unless the bounty manager don't know what he is doing then he will be working without any initial payment.

The difficulty of the bounty manager is a little higher compared to that of a bounty participant. The manager does not have a required number of posts daily, or number of tweets, or an article, or a video, and so on unless he is also a participant. His task is to make sure the participants are meeting the requirements. But that is more difficult because that means hundreds of them. But this is a case to case basis, there are so many managers who cannot even update the spreadsheet on time.

That is why bounty managers are paid several times bigger than any bounty participants.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would it take for XRP to become widely used as a payment method? on: January 21, 2020, 10:13:13 AM
I think what is lacking for XRP is the government acceptance.  Once the government acknowledge XRP then it is a smooth sailing from there.  Though other do not like a centralized cryptocurrency, it will work as benefit for XRP because there is one company to control it as OP cited.  Government wants entity that can be controlled so I think if XRP strive to get an approval for government, they will get it eventually thus, they can become a widely used payment method.

The truth is this: not this:

This is just a merchant's preference.  So if some merchants supports XRP they will be  saying the other way around.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin’s Next Peak May ‘Only’ Be $80,000, Says Analyst on: January 20, 2020, 02:28:10 PM
Predictions are just guesses so we don't have to take them seriously.  If these people are so sure about their prediction then they will keep it  by themselves and reap the reward.  They are so vocal about it so that people will get hyped and jump in.  In that case, there will be a huge demand because of influx of people buying Bitcoin before the predicted price.  that is actually the logic behind this predictions which in reality, the one who predicted it is not sure whether it will happen or not.  And that $80k is too much, I think Bitcoin will struggle to even break its ATH by that time.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are you staking? on: January 20, 2020, 01:27:22 PM
I have sold my last staking coins way back year ago so I am not currently staking any.  If I can have a fund to buy another staking coins probably I'll go with ETH, with its new feature of staking, it is now worth to hold it for a very long time.  Aside from that probably I will also look at the coinmarketcap and check any staking coins worthy to hold and stake.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin promos on twitter on: January 20, 2020, 01:00:58 PM
There are lots of announcement on Bounty or altcoin service board that needs twitter promotion and is willing to pay in their native coins.  Anyway if you really want to get a valuable altcoin then you can create a blog or any important information article and put a donation address below the page then link it by tweeting it on twitter.  Many people will donate if they find your article a very useful information.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STEEM Price Pumps After Adding NFT Support on: January 20, 2020, 12:41:56 PM
I think this is just a pump timed during the announcement of NFT to make people believe that it was a success and NFT really brings more people in the community but the sad fact is that it is just the original method of pump and dump, sell the news buy the rumor scheme.  I bet after some days the price will go back to normal unless their pump isn't done yet.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you sure crypto is the future currency? on: January 19, 2020, 11:56:07 AM
There is a possibility that crypto will be the future of currency unless someone created a better means of recording stuff with the same property as what is crypto blockchain today.  Something that is more economical and does not need billions of dollars to operate and secure the network and something that is hack resistant and at the same time quantum computer resistant.
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An uncertain future of Libra! Is it good for the crypto traders? on: January 19, 2020, 11:40:42 AM
A token that is non-existent have no effect on traders.  Libra has yet to be launched so there is no good or bad thing about it.  In short, it has no effect on the market  yet.  Aside from that, being announced as stablecoins, Libra is not good to get profit from since its price is fixed.  I have no idea how it will affect crypto traders when it has little to no volatility if ever launched.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Okay, Litecoin price needs to crash again now...... on: January 19, 2020, 10:48:26 AM
That's what happen when someone hesitated to buy at the bottom ang price started to go up.  But do not worry, just pray that this litecoin movement is just a bull trap so that you can buy at a lower price when sellers started to dump.  It is either you FOMO or wait for sometimes for the LTC price to do gown.  Its your choice OP.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn How TO Create Cryptocurrency Now on: January 19, 2020, 10:37:25 AM
This will be helpful to those who wanted to know how to create cryptocurrency, the step by step method and to understand how cryptocurrency work.  It will also help us to troubleshoot problems while setting up a wallet and even help us to compile our own supposed to be wallet from the raw program the dev created.  This is educational indeed.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: January 18, 2020, 12:11:01 PM
WPP was a very good project in 2018, their ICO ran for a long time and it reached nearly the hard cap 60 Million USD! The ICO price was 0.01 USD, but look at now, it's 0.00015 USD with  648 USD volume! Seriously? They did nothing promising till today! Partnered with some unknown project, making some good picture of their product with huge value! Where they said WPP token will be worth more than 1 USD! But when you ask these things in their official Telegram group, you will surely get banned, that Troy guy will do it if you ever ask about updates!

Another great project turned into shit again! So, What do you think guys about this shit project?

It is not good to say that a project is a scam because its price goes down.  If that is your logic then we can also conclude that all those altcoins that goes down in price is a scam, which is not true.  Probably WPP is lacking something in marketing.  Or probably people or new investors does not feel the need to invest on them because of their performance.  Anyway, as long as they are around and providing some updates, it is too early to say they are scam, shit ,, yes probably.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will any new project will do payment with ETH ? on: January 18, 2020, 11:38:25 AM
some time lately, I have seen several projects making payments using ETH. I did not say that new projects will die but they might use this alternative, so my conclusion is whether this will be a new era in 2020 where all projects will make payments using ETH or other coins that are already on the market, or is it just a coincidence that they use this method, to avoid a very drastic decline in value when listing on the market?
the initial appearance of IEO was also ignored but it boomed in mid-2019.
share your opinion, any advice will be apreciate  Smiley

I think what you have seen are project created under ETH platform.  There are still new project that uses ETH platform but not all of the new projects uses it.  There is also EOS platform, waves platfrom, Binance platform etc. that uses their native token for payment.  They also have a decentralized exchange to trade.  In short, it is not only ETH that is used as payment but rather, it depends on what platform they are using and what crypto currency the project owner decided to accept.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 18, 2020, 10:33:53 AM
As of now, BSV holders had gained profit than ETH holder, I do not think we can tell indefinitely which on is profitable because market changes from time to time.  So the question regarding profitability depends on the current movement of market, if that so then I can say BSV is quite profitable to those who bought it before the huge pump these last days.  But it can be profitable today but will incur loss tomorrow.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No, Bitcoin SV Will Not ‘Run the Internet’ Someday on: January 18, 2020, 10:05:16 AM

Let them live according to their delusion, as long as we know the truth and the fact that it is impossible for the internet to choose BSV blockchain, besides it is quite impossible for that to happen since internet is not broken and does not need fixing nor upgrade just to run in BSV blockchain. IF ever the internet need to run in a blockchain, there will be a capable new blockchain tech for it and of course it is not BSV's blockchain.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 18, 2020, 09:31:05 AM
I personally prefer to hold bitcoin and ethereum. They are good coin and more potential to hold for long term.

Same here, I always look at ETH as potential token, it had proven its worth.  Aside from that, I will also hold XRP, though this cryptocurrency is controversial, at least it has a solid development team and solid project.  I won't bother to hold EOS with its kind of wallet maintenance to ensure transaction, users will stay away from it.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Drama on: January 17, 2020, 04:04:37 PM
Anyway, even right now bsv price is almost x2 price than it was before. Not bad pump

So if you are holding BSV better to sell it right now.  Don't wait for BSV to be dumped heavily.  Once the founder is proven to be not Satoshi, the price of BSV will surely plummet.  We should not make ourselves trap in this kind of scheme.  Better sell with profit than regret with loses.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoW to PoS question on: January 17, 2020, 03:42:13 PM
Is Proof of Work is going to lose popularity compared to Proof of Stake? Ethereum is going to PoS. Angry
Is there going to be a lot of hash (computational) power idle because of shifting to PoS?  Sad
Where that power be used then? Will it address such decentralized computing projects as Golem, Storj, Sia, etc?  Cheesy

POW will not lose its popularity for the reason that it has a distinct advantage over POS.  Other coins are shifting to POS for some reason, probably to attract more investors because in POS, you can have profit by simply holding your token since it will generate new token unlike POW.  And I think those machine that mined ETH will be pointed to other profitbale POW coins.
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 17, 2020, 03:23:07 PM
Look at what happening around. The first cryptocurrency bitcoin was invented to reduce the hassle of third party and have borderless transaction. Isn't it true? Now, look at what happening. People are more into investing it than using it as currency.
Most interesting is people are most interested in coin which give more ROI, they are not interested in the currency-ish of a currency.
For example, some people are talking a lot about BSV, but if they have some research, they will never take it as currency, but as this is giving a good return now, it's best for them. Why man? Why don't we look into a decentralized coin? Why do we only take it as investment? Did Satoshi ever take it as investment? Or he invented Bitcoin for borderless payment and solution to the intermediaries problem?

Whate ever Satoshi intended for cryptocurrency, people look at it as a stepping stone to have financial freedom.  They only participate to get profit from it.  Without the motivation of getting profit, people will stay away from cryptocurrency because they are far more comfortable in using fiat currency.
