501  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Jammu & Kashmir Special Status (Article 370) Ends!! on: August 16, 2019, 04:46:37 AM

India was already a country before the British rule and it was just made independent in 1947.
Read it again,"India was born after british started to rule" meant it happened on 18th century and they combination of 250 districts all over India and they named it as British India.

The Union or India came into existence after the independence.

However, this part of the land was always colloquially called India / Bharat for a long time before that. There was no single state of India, true.

But this was a collection of different regions with an ever-shifting / undefined border.

Aryavarta, Brahmavarta, Panchala, Braharishi Desha, Madhya Desha etc were all regions and within them there were many kingdoms.

Now I am no scripture expert and know these by heart but someone with the proper knowledge would be able to corroborate this.

Manav Dhramshastra in Sanskrit was quite possibly the first coded book of laws similar to the modern constitution. So you see the concept of India was always there.

The britts just came here and tagged all of us 'idies' and Indians and the land "India"

Hindustan however was a later construct when the muslims started invading.

They do,if you don't know about it then go and vist south India where is the only place people opposed Hindi as their main language even second language. Tongue

Have to disagree here, BJP as a government never condones or says this. RSS does. BJP runs the government. RSS does not. However even a kid knows the connections between BJP and RSS.

Hindi should be an official language in places where Hindi is spoken, and regional languages should be given more preference.

But from an administrative point of view, I understand why so many people are so eager to push the one language one nation theory, stems from the us vs them crap. Hindi vs urdu. Hindi vs rest of the world.

The fact is, India has never been the land of homogeneity - it never will be.
502  Local / India / Re: MERIT FOR INDIA SUB on: August 16, 2019, 01:41:39 AM

And when the Amitabha / Coinsecure scandal happened, it essentially took out Benson from this community - literally the only person that gave a flying fuck about this subboard's health.
I don't know about Benson other than he was a moderator for India.Did he was a part of scam project? Or link me what issue you are talking about.

We can bring the right traffic again if there is a moderator here.

He was not only the mod but a leader.

Coinsecure was not a scam project, Amitabha, one of the guys hired from this forum stole some altcoins and thought he could get away with it. It's a whole history lesson there.

I had interacted with Amitabha way back in the beginning, but my repeated attempts of getting back in touch have not been successful since. So I don't have his side of the story. He's a phd guy so I didn't think he's the type to steal.

Benson was removed from mod status because Theymos thought there was a conflict of interest though rightly he, and no one else here actually accused him of anything. We all saw how hard he worked to create Coinsecure from scratch.

We can bring the right traffic again if there is a moderator here.

Once my other thread is completed, you will see that the Indian media has never promoted Bitcoins and cryptos in a positive light.

It has always been linked to chitfunds, scams, ghotala and then there are people like Kabit9 that makes this a toxic cesspool to be a part of.

6 years given to this community from my life and what do I get in return?

A threat that my sick mother's name and number would be distributed to escort sites.

A comparison with my dead dog about who's the bigger bitch?

Judging me on how I look.

All for what? because I wouldn't allow his shitpost on my self mod under construction thread?

And you think people will come here for what?

Even my dead dog was a better 'human being' than this asshole and frankly, this forum is full of it now.

People like you and me can only sit by and idly watch. Or at least we choose to do so.
503  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Happy 73rd Independence for all! on: August 16, 2019, 01:38:09 AM
^We don't want tax free India but we don't want to have 150% tax for the fuels and 28% GST for most of the things.

Or 100% import taxes for automobiles?

I'd love to see some of those classic bollywood movie cars plying the roads again. Used to see a lot of them when I was a kid.

504  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Reliance Jio to Install one of the biggest Blockchain Networks in World in India on: August 15, 2019, 11:09:05 AM
Telegram is blocked by Indian ISPs

Since when? I use Telegram daily and I have never seen any censorship when it comes to the usage of a messaging app. Especially telegram.
505  Local / India / Re: MERIT FOR INDIA SUB on: August 15, 2019, 09:37:40 AM
It's a lost cause here. Unless there's significant interest and traffic from India for Bitcoins, this subsection will never be relevant again.

And when the Amitabha / Coinsecure scandal happened, it essentially took out Benson from this community - literally the only person that gave a flying fuck about this subboard's health.
506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for an auto-forwarding ETH script on: August 15, 2019, 09:29:23 AM
I am looking for some assistance with an auto-forwarding function for ETH for one of my wallets, I believe the private key is compromised but I continue to receive some small earnings in this wallet and would love to have them instantly/automatically sent to a new wallet. I have no programming knowledge and am looking for an extremely simple solution or someone who could help me out with this.

Thanks in advance!  Smiley

You should have posted on the service section, not sure if your account has the privilege to do so.

Auto forwarding might not work for you because you said you receive small earnings in the wallet. If itis micropayment, then your fees for transacting would exceed your single small payment.

You will have to wait till it is large enough that it can pay for its own transaction's / forwarding's fee. If the pvk is compromised, the hacker would be looking to do the same thing as well.

Setting up an auto forwarding should be easy though. A simple api function set up on a 24/7 vps could do the job.
507  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Happy 73rd Independence for all! on: August 15, 2019, 07:42:38 AM

It's a special one this one. Thanks to that Kashmir issue. But nonetheless Happy Independence Day to you and everyone here at the Indian section of this forum.
Lot of political crisis but its the time to feel independence at least we are not slaves to anyone. But still we are paying huge taxes to our government.

You think this could become a tax haven? Like ever?

The moment that happens you should watch how even the unpatriotic shitheads turn the corner.

I can go on and on about taxes though.
508  Local / India / Re: V. G. Siddhartha - CCD founder Dead - Could Crypto have saved him? on: August 15, 2019, 07:24:36 AM
It is good to know that posts (in the local board) will not be counted. But the question remains that why is a Hero member (who is supposed to be quite knowledgeable) asking such a stupid question?

So your point is I am stupid to ask questions? I don't get it. If you could stop harking for Kabit9 for one second and asked me politely then you would have received a polite answer. Now we're stuck saying fuck off to each other's faces for eternity. Or at least as long as we are on this forum.

Either, he does not understand how the real world works or is blindly trying to bring cryptocurrency into everything that he reads about.

So I'll assume you and Kabit9/@TTT786 are separate people. And going by that I'll explain to you why but primarily because you are on topic.
If you have the mental maturity to read and understand then please read.

The whole point of your argument is that 'how dare I ask a stupid question?' The fact is, if VG Sid asked some stupid questions, he'd probably be alive. Why did he die? Because he was afraid of being labeled stupid just by asking a question.

Could crypto have saved him? The answer is no. But it would have bought him some time. If he had been one of the few lucky ones that invested in Bitcoins way back in 2010, he'd have enough personal wealth to carry on with his venture for a few more years. Probably even a decade.

A coffee house in South India might sound like a sane idea since it is the coffee hub of India, had CCD been branded as a corporate meetup place instead of a public place to grab snacks, it'd have done far better. Coffee and technocrats go hand in hand and had he tried to grab high-net-worth-individuals then they would have formed a reliable long term customer base to build their brand on.

And how better to advertise your brand's technological awareness other than to provide a visible connection between your brand and cryptocurrencies?
The whole outlook towards Bitcoins and crypto has been promoted in a negative way, I have done some digging up of past 7 years of media mentions of cryptocurrency and majority of them are completely negative. Why? Probably because of the word 'crypto" .. stoking a sense of connection with 'cryptography' .. ooh! secrecy! Get it?
If only a public brand was not only promoting crypto but had also adopted it to their central core functionality then CCD could have moved into newer tech-savvy markets like Singapore and could have not only survived but thrived!

As far as the death of VGS is concerned it is quite sad and shocking to hear. But he was pursuing a business model that was going to crack. A few years back, I (and my friends) had planned to kick start a mobile gourmet coffee chain in India. After extensive research on the coffee market, we were not able to justify the unit economics involved in the coffee business. And this was sans the huge fixed cost that Cafe coffee day incurs. So, the business model was never going to sustain the way he expanded the entire network. Some outlets might have turned profitable but a majority of them were loss-making units and this was confirmed by their ground staff. He did this on money raised by debt and the backing of his family wealth. Also, he was involved in money laundering activities. The thing with raising PE funds and debt is that you come under a huge obligation to make a profit to these firms (the clauses are made such). He could not pay off the money and hence decided to end his life.

The entire story is very saddening and I hope that we have mental health and wellness introduced in our school curriculums at a very early stage. Our society is such that we only praise success and loath failure. It is the success at any cost mantra that leads to such events.

It is indeed sad and that's why I wanted to share it here. I had no idea that this subsection of the forum is fostering filth like Kabit9 and has become so toxic and egomaniacal that they cannot stand it when someone deletes their shitpost from a self-moderated thread.

A sad fact of our Indian society is that we can not behave like matured individuals. This is also a sin I am guilty of. Take the case of Kabit9 and I. Even though I have not abused him initially, he called me names, tried to hurt my livelihood by spreading BS about my clients / past work and has now childishly been trying to blackmail me by flashing my mother's name.

THAT is the India we live in. Happy independence day to you. Tag removed.
509  Local / India / Re: V. G. Siddhartha - CCD founder Dead - Could Crypto have saved him? on: August 15, 2019, 06:24:47 AM
@Kabit and @Legendster : Guys, troll each other as much as you want, but you don't need to dox each other and I agree with @amycrypto here.

This post is for Legendster and Kabit. Let us not behave like kids and have some sense of what we are doing on this forum. We may have our differences in terms of opinions but the revealing personal identity of users that you don't agree with is not accepted.

@legendster If you have solid proof that both kabit and amycrypto's accounts are connected then make a case in reputation. If it's true then will tag both accounts without any second thought.

If not, then I suggest you should withdrawal the accusation of connected accounts and negative feedback against @amicrypto respectfully.

We already have tiny Indian community so please don't start a pissing contest, it's not going to help anyone.

Archived : http://archive.fo/0EG3x

This asshole crossed the line when he flashed my mother's info. This is not the thread to discuss this, so let's do it where this shit belongs. : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5175719.0

The whats, whys and whens will be explained there.
510  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Happy 73rd Independence for all! on: August 15, 2019, 06:02:16 AM
Everyone knows how much the leaders struggled to bring this independent country so its time to celebrate and worship their hard effort.Lot of community, different religion, different languages, different zones but yet India is still one country and biggest democracy.

#JaiHind

will be moved to off-topic later.

It's a special one this one. Thanks to that Kashmir issue. But nonetheless Happy Independence Day to you and everyone here at the Indian section of this forum.
511  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] WOLF.BET Signature Campaign - Hero/Legendary - Up to 0.01BTC/week! on: August 14, 2019, 02:00:52 AM

Improve your post quality. Grin I got 29 since Aug 1st.

Enjoy your 29 merits. It's not a competition, so I'll enjoy mine.

I earned about 10 merits in these 3 weeks while I was part of this campaign. Looking forward to when it comes back.
Must be an accomplishment right now that you have 666 Merit. Maybe you could post your record here also. Lol.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5171113.msg52024286#msg52024286

Yeah nah. I'm good. I don't push to earn merits. Commemorating a number for not even attempting to get them would be silly.

Nice concept though.

513  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] WOLF.BET Signature Campaign - Hero/Legendary - Up to 0.01BTC/week! on: August 13, 2019, 10:47:26 PM
Then at least tell people who applied and meet the criteria!
I left a proper applying message here also PMd you and left the signature for 3 days waiting for answer.
It takes 5 seconds to send me a message saying you are not accepted.
All this campaign sounds fishy and the website looks suspicious.

The grapes are sour now?

------- Update -------

Hi guys, I just had a piece of news from wolf.bet team that the current round is probably the last one.
We will have a small break, for around 2-3 weeks, so they can implement new features like an affiliate program, rain-bot, wager contest, etc. before we continue the campaign!

------- Update -------

I hope upon resumption of the campaign, you give the existing campaign participants the first priority.

Will you also indicate on how much the compensation would be and what will be the payment (BTC,ETH, USD, etc.) for the said jost posts?

  • Marketing
  • Graphics
  • Advisor

Are you an IEO agency or direct? I'm asking this because most of the projects who's working with IEO/ICO has direct approach for Advisors.

515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is investing in crypto a good idea? on: August 13, 2019, 10:41:07 PM
Hello! I'm a newbie trader, and I want to know if investing in crypto is a good idea. Now it became very easy, for example, you can buy crypto with a bot or your credit card using such services as changelly or shapeshift. However, does easy means good? Should I buy crypto now or it's too late?

Its never too late.

It's like Mahirap said, this question was asked since forever. Even when btc hit $1k for the first time, people though they were late, then it happened again when it surpassed $2k, then $5k and so on.

Just stick around, evaluate your needs. See if you need to invest in BTC particularly or some other project. If choosing an altcoin, then be very careful of scams and shitcoins. If you can afford it, hire someone experienced to consult with first.

Good luck.
516  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Gear Pricing just becomes more irrational then ever on: August 13, 2019, 10:23:16 PM
Key takeaways from this thread :

> S9's and S9k's are better than the newer efficient hardwares.

> And the newer hardware will cause diff to rise to 20 trillion soon (but not in 4 - 5 months)

> BTC price will dive.

> Trump tax will make things more unprofitable soon.

Damn! this thread has been so depressing man! Thanks for all your calculations @Phillip
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is your worst crypto casino experience? on: August 13, 2019, 10:11:58 PM
once I've deposited $50 in btc in one online crypto casino without doing proper research, I won like $150 and when I wanted to cash out I realized there is x50 wagger, since then I'm making sure to do proper research or look at reputable list of crypto casinos before depositing.

I've told this story before.

Basically, I won thousands of dollars in a dice game and then subsequently lost them because it was auto rolling while I was afk.

Not sure if this can be classified as 'worst experience' but at least it was a funny one. From a certain perspective.

I guess that is not since you are willing to accept your losses and afk rolling means you don't mind if you lose the bankroll.
..

That's the thing. I didn't put in a dime on that website. The main investment was from the site's faucet. And the fact that few satoshis could rake up a few thousands of dollars was kind of unimaginable. I played for fun so I gained nothing and I lost nothing. Cool party story I guess.

Had I invested any of my own money / coins I'd have torn up all the hair from my head lol.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Best web miners on: August 13, 2019, 10:06:00 PM
Anyone knows which is the best web miner out there other than minergate to mine different altcoins using cpu? Recently I came across https://www.crypto-webminer.com/ site. Anyone here is using this site?

Yup, I heard of them. Tried them about a year ago. I think it was for Electroneum mining. Which I just checked out, they no longer support.

I wouldn't know if this is the best alternative to Minergate but it certainly is one good alternative.

Are you mining anything on that site?
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: UltraMiner FPGA Pre-Launch on Crowd Supply on: August 13, 2019, 09:57:27 PM
hi, is this the same that wasn't funded on Indiegogo?

Yes at that time we didn't have the prototype board ready, so the design was an uncertainty. we now have fully proven working demo board.
in addition there are some issues with the kickstarter and indegogo as they are not crypto friendly- you are not allowed to promoting it as a cryptocurreny miner on their platform. that's the reason why we decided to work with crowdsupply, not only they welcome crypto, but they offer variety of professional services to make your product successful.

The reason they don't like crypto anymore is because of Butterfly labs.

Also, FPGA boards are no longer economical at least the ones that I know of or the ones I think I could have fabricated for me locally. So yours must be some next level stuff.

Where can I see what it mines, and other specs?  I'd love to get a few for myself (if I can afford it).
520  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin help rebuild Venezuela? - Darb Finance on: August 13, 2019, 09:48:29 PM
Can it save? yes.

But it depends on how it is implemented. Petro is certainly not going to have much of an impact.

But the funny thing is, it is only the failing economies like Venezuela or Iran that are kind of embracing crypto so that it can save them, but leaving out the whole decentralized part out basically resulting in flat unimpressive results.

On the other hand, the countries that are fully getting on board the crypto wagon are basically all developing countries or tech-rich countries from Asia. None of the major developed countries have fully embraced crypto and that's what is the need of the hour. Whether it will happen? who knows.

Think of India for a second. If India bans crypto completely, it would lose out of $12billion worth of money from its economy. It has already lost the $2 billion from the whole Kashmir reorganization campaign. So the total loss could pan out to be around $15 billion.
This is the same country where people live in unlivable areas. 300 million people in poverty. Power cuts, lack of drinking water, floods & natural calamities, hostile terrorists etc etc - can a country like this really afford to not adopt crypto? No. But it might happen anyway because of politics.

So the answer to your long question is basically 'politics' - if implemented right, then yes it will not only save Venezuela but it'd set it up for a prosperous future, but sadly that will not happen under Maduro.
