I'm already seated in the bumpy Monero train:

+1! Full speed to 0.015  Grin

lol, that will take a while Wink
We'll see a lot of selling above 0.008 I guess Smiley

but back on topic (maybe we should create a Monero Wall Observer  Wink )

I've updated my favorite chart: It's time to go up:

Blue: actual exchange rate
Red: April 2013 repeating (low of this bubble matched with low after China bubble)
Green: Nov/dec 2013 repeating (low of this bubble matched with low after the same bubble)
black: exponential trendline current data
DATA: bitcoinaverage.com

For the last 4 weeks every day people post charts that show how we are about to go up. If anything we go down.
Could it be that drawing lines on a chart is completely and totally useless?

I think he's right. I too think we will go down a lot soon.

Please sell Shroomsy that way you can prove to yourself what you spend the majority of your time ranting and raving about Wink

Your no fun when you say your gonna sell all the time, just do it...

Uhm wow. Not once, i repeat, not once have i even hinted at selling. I have no idea what you are talking about.

Take out the last line, I realise you havent said your actually going to sell. Stands to reason though if you think we're going to to go down a lot soon why wouldn't you.

Uhm because i don't trade? I believe Bitcoin will get big and i'm not gonna risk losing out by selling. I don't care about making a quick buck now. I already sold at 900 to get my investment back plus a bonus. I'm all or nothing now.

The July 24th date is 234 days after the previous bubble, which was 234 days after the previous bubble, etc.  There is a guy on Reddit who spent months telling everyone we were going to the moon on exactly that date, not one day earlier, not one day later.

When he started getting laughed at, he made his own subreddit, and moved there.  The last that I read, he turned from superbull to superbear because his prediction was wrong which he thinks proves that the bitcoin bubble trend is dead.

I am expecting the price to jump a few percent on the 23rd or early 24th because he publicized it so much, for so long.

If he said July 24th, how come the prediction was wrong?
Because Christine Lagarde said it would be the 20th or 27th
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYmViPTndxw

What the hell?
I'm not sure who is more bat shit crazy. That woman or the person commenting on it.
Either way i lost a few braincells watching that.

He gave up because there is no sign of a bubble forming, the charts don't look like the pre-bubble November charts, etc, after 2 months of hyping his prediction.  I think, secretly,  he is still holding on to the idea.  He still posts how many days are left until the 24th, and his last post was congratulating someone on their prediction that we are at a very bullish moment. Officially, he calls for a huge drop soon.

I think he's right. I too think we will go down a lot soon.

How could it be wrong as that date is in the future?

and it is also rare that you have a heads up on a potential black swan event (which is still probably at less than a 1 percent chance)... I'm just playing the hand that I see in the most reasonable way. I'll be buying back shortly and you guys can smack me around when the price is $700 at that time. =D

That's actually quite a level headed gamble. It would have worked in your favour a couple of times now (... and one day it won't of course, and then you lose big, but you knew that).

Myself, I'll go all in again the second it touches under $600.

Volume is actually much better now than before the previous big dumps. Not great, but not abysmal either.

Better wait for the 583 dip, was confirmed multiple times last couple of days.

Confirmed  Huh

The market could easily move up 70-150 in a day.

I agree, but I hope you have $20M on the table to bring it. Every high is lower in we have no power... But I agree, things can turn around in hours, but nothing is showing this to happen in the coming days...

GABI?  Institutional money is already moving to get in, and more than 20 million will buy in to front run the GABI launch on August 1st.

Yea, "institutional money is moving in for more than half year now" and look how strong the uptrend is... blah.  Grin Grin

Yup. Wallstreet has been moving in for 6 months now. I'm just not seeing it.
1390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 15, 2014, 02:36:34 AM
Is it me or is selling all your coins at the moment to hopefully buy back in cheaper next week highly risky?

I have less than 12 coins and at this current moment I wouldn't dare to sell even 1.

At this current moment the upward potential by far outweighs the chance of buying in a tiny bit cheaper along with the chance of missing out and/or having to panic buy back in at a higher price.

Also you don't lose money unless you sell at a loss, by holding in a small temporary downwards movement you don't lose anything.

Nothing points to things going up.
There is huge selling pressure. Every big buy gets instantly dumped on. Good news does absolutely nothing.
But if you sell then you are part of the reason why we keep going down. And it looks like you want us to go up. The reason we don't go up is because of sellers who think we won't go up.
1391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 15, 2014, 01:43:08 AM
the relative stability we're in is just dragging on... i hope all this "july 24th" business actually bears fruit.

What about july 24th?

Just people creating another deadline out of thin air. It will soon be super duper important and control the whole market. There will be massive fear and people dumping shitloads of coins as we get closer to the 24th.  1 day after the 24th (where nothing happens) nobody gives a shit anymore. Then they will be looking for the next "deadline".

"show"ing that guys message quickly reminded me why it needed to be "shown" before it's visible.

Get a life.

My comments are inspirational, meant to penetrate your fixated thinking to be able to use your mind in actually understanding matters, old and new. Reacting to them in such a low level manner leads me to think whether you'd be better off investing in bonds. At least you know what you get.

Wtf

On 7-10 during the 9am EDT hour the long term exponential trend line was at 613.70.  We hit 5.80 below this trend line and were pushed up with higher volume within a few hours.  The buyers seem to come in when they see us below the line.

Right now this trend line is at 628.37.  We hit 623.43, which is 4.94 below the trend line.  I expect the buyers to come in and bring us back over the trend line within the next few hours.

Because all these people are sitting behind their screen going omg we are below a line. I better quickly buy some.
1394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 14, 2014, 04:46:26 AM
Very bullish that we're going down.
1395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 14, 2014, 03:15:02 AM
Honestly, this doesn't look good. Too much resistance in 600s.

No shit.
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 13, 2014, 06:04:36 PM
We bounced right off the ever-increasing exponential trend line at 626.50.  In about 8 hours that trend line will be at 630.  We've shown strength every time we hit it, with buyers coming in on large volume to take price back above the line.  If this continues, we have no choice but to move up over the next couple days.

Havent heard that before the last 6 weeks.
1397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 13, 2014, 05:41:51 PM
a lot of dumping taking place... any news?

Yeah, read above!!!

So nothing to do with MintPal getting hacked and losing some coin?

Source?

Look at the dumptards go!

Can you blame them? More and more people are starting to realize that next bubble simply isn't coming. I too hate to see these dumps but at some point people are gonna sell. And every day it becomes more clear that there won't be any rockets or trains.

So you are going to become a weak hand all of a sudden? That's exactly what the dumping is for, create  negative sentiment in weak minds. If they don't have the patience to hodl and wait for the train, they don't deserve the moon.

Did i say anywhere i'm selling?
