1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: August 07, 2019, 09:18:26 PM
We need more than 102% PPS after halving, please =(

At current prices, a buddy figured that you need to be mining LTC at less than 4c kWh or at this difficulty and price points the boat don't float.

Also, you can buy Innsolicon 30TH 2,200 watt miners at $900 with $50 shipping to the USA. They would arrive after September 1st, 2019. Thus

they would be under the new Trump administration tariffs. So on top of the 25% Tariff, this would be an additional 10% tariff along with import fees

that comes out to 37.6% import fees. Thus the above (I think legit) offer above of an Innsolicon 30TH 2,200 watt BTC miner for $950 with shipping

after the above tariffs, this comes out to $1,307.20 (Note: the $50 shipping was also included in import fees and tariff because though not right/fair

on all miners FedEx or DHL this always seems to be the case, so just going with that view)

That boat doesn't float at 10c kWh very well here in the USA anyway for LTC mining.

On top of that, everyone that is in a NON-VAT (Europe has a VAT tax) or Tariff on China (like the USA with its 37.6% with import fees added).

Well, hard to compete, if say you can meet the above 4c kWh or below electric costs and/or get equipment above all day long at $950 compared to the

EU or USA all day long.

ugly, ugly, ugly!

Something better break price-wise or difficulty wise with Litecoin or we won't be sweating the www.litecoinpool.org percentage difference from 101%

to 102% or whatever. We will be playing Submarine, price wise, which I assume everyone and myself is doing now.

If you do have under 4c kWh electric, let me know, I may fly there and check it out for hosting! (alas! scammers will now flock to pm me)

What I really need is an 'honest' buddy in Mexico, buy ASIC equipment of any flavor and ship to Mexico and have him frigging LEGALLY just drive the 'used' stuff

across the border to another buddy in Texas!

Alas! No balls!

Upon checking the Spreadsheet here

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sAy3QP89CWrVY-heH1SZC6vHpXpTGJd5AbYmsg24HiA/htmlview

it seems that the Campaign is already full so changing the Title from OPEzn to FULL will prevent spam applications.

Ack! Just wandered by and saw the spreadsheet above and see I'm on the list! Ack!

Thus 2 merits for you and I guess I need to get on my signature fix for this signature campaign huh?

Thanks for the heads up!

Brad

edit: supposedly the signature is correct. Supposedly, my avatar will change at worst sometime in the next 24 hours, so Bitcointalk says.

thanks for the slot!

Would this halving bring a surge in price or reduction in miners due to lack of profitability?
With same electricity cost, same difficulty, miners will get less Litecoin from mining. It means their income will only remain as same as before halving if Litecoin price increases two times (compared to its price before halving). It is why lots of investors pay their attention on Litecoin, recent weeks, someone hope that Litecoin will keep doubling increase at the period around halving time (before or after that a little bit).

I was told by a buddy that pretty much now, at this difficulty and this price point, you need 4c kWh or under to make any pennies at all.

Also was offered from a legit guy (I'm fairly sure) an Innsolicon T30 2.2th 2,200 watt unit for $900 and $50 shipping to the states.

Unfortunately, he forgot about the NOW 37.6% Tariff to the USA with Import Fees.

IF Trump has his way, he may go back as a pushback to China devaluing currency today, to another 25% rise in tariffs Sept 1st.

IF, so that would mean the tariff and import fees (plus shipping) would likely be something like $1,300 a unit to the USA or about say $950 a unit

for the rest of the NON-USA tariff world and/or the VAT Countries.

IF, these folk in non-VAT or Tariff parts of the world are in FULL FOMO MODE...well sh*t...it very well could be no more mining of any type in the USA

for 2019 and into 2020. (Perhaps, that is already the case, and just missed the memo) Sad

ugly, ugly, ugly

If you add to this my somewhat other 'dubious' fear, in that, my 'guess' that 70% or so of all scrypt-pow miners on LTC network are Bitmain L3's or L3+'s.

(They were pumped out for 3 years). Then that group shuts off due to difficulty, then difficulty adjusts and that group turns back on, rinse/wash/repeat.

We could yo/yo in that pattern for 3-4 months, driving the price down as these guys sell their LTC and such to pay bills on their data halls or whatever, driving

price further down.

again, perhaps, dubious, but where mining goes, so goes price I'm afraid. Could form an LTC price downward spiral vortex indeed.

Brad

(disclaimer: have not mined anything since 2/14/19 on Valentine's day. My data hall rate is 10c kWh and my home rate has spiked in Summer Rates to 17.27c kWh, so

as you can see I'm so far out of any type of scrypt-pow or indeed any flavor of ASIC mining that I need a pair of binoculars to even read the LTC difficulty at this point.)

use hashnest, no fuss, no worries, no tariffs!

That boat don't look to good either

https://cryptominer.deals/product/bitmain-antminer-s15

$0.1093/TH per day or approx at this time $3.09/day and 318 days to ROI on above.

Ouch.

I can get an Innsolicon direct from East Asia (not China) legit for 30TH at 2,200 watts and at $900 plus $50 shipping and pay the tariff after Sept 1st of 37.6% that comes out to

$1,307.20. (note: including the $50 shipping in that fed ex or whoever always include it in their fee calculations anyway..so going with that)

See below Innsolicon 30T 2,200 watts at 10c kWh.

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/btc?HashingPower=30&HashingUnit=TH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=2200&CostPerkWh=0.10&MiningPoolFee=0

So with the almost making ROI in a year 365 days WITH the ugly 36.7% USA tariff and 2TH more than the hashnet at 28TH

and of course the difficulty by the calculators assuming FLAT

hashnest don't look like any more of a boat that floats then me getting the $1,309.20 Innsolicon 30T 2200 watt unit I passed on direct to my buddies 10c kWh rated data hall.

Both suck, just saying in the USA at this time. Sad

odds of 7.5k now IMHO are the same as odds of 40k in the future 8-10 months.

both are somewhat 'unlikely' Smiley

yep, I called it!

no one knows for the future, I think that for 40k it's absolutely impossible.
Yep, that is very unlikely as you say. Wink

Again, compared to a dump to 7.5k I'd think the FOMO action to 40k is about as likely.

Myself 15k at the high 11k at the low for this cycle of pump etc IMHO

As long as it stays above 11,111.12 USD for BTC I'm golden Smiley

OMG I can"t believe that I'm about to turn in my resignation letter to the government tomorrow after I decided to go all in on Bitcoin and Blockchain technology.

I'm scared, nervous, excited, and happy all at once. No guts no glory.

Hello Crypto revolution!

https://twitter.com/TheCoinDad/status/1158209187178012672?s=20

I have to say, i'm not advising people to do exactly this..... But F*** I do say don't take this mainly BTC investing to soft cause you might regret....

For me and imo the rule of only invest what you're willing to lose applies more on the sh*tcoins (ALT-coins)

I do not believe to "only buy BTC with what you're willing to lose, cause for me buying BTC= winning big time"

I don't say buy, lay back and tomorrow you be rich, No no noooo... keep working keep creating wealth, but to buy pieces of BTC with that cash flow, also keep learning reading everyday and try to use BTC where and when you can.....

Srry, but for me the time of saying only invest what you are willing to lose = over

Now, I say... buy to be safe !!!!!!!!!

Yep, did the same on 1/14/18. Thought the Altcoins would tide me over for 2 years and 5 months till full 66 years and 2 months soc security and traditional investments.

oops. burned thru altcions in 2018 to stay at my 'lovely' 3.2k a month lifestyle.

working 3.2k month ave say pay lifestyle

retired on crypto 3.2k a month ave on pay lifestyle

just poked the bear and living on traditional investments before they pop downward in what I expect is a recession (20% downturn = recession, I expect 40% or so)

you guessed it 3.2k a month lifestyle as set up in the 'old guy' safe/maintain stock adjustment to keep same with traditional investments

So, even if crypto did go full tulips, it allowed me to retire 3 years early more or less.

BTC stays above 11,000 USD in some manner thru halving and I'm golden. That is just plain HODL 'gravy'

(be boring, live modestly, have no debt, drive a rusty car, etc)

Living the life, of 'dubious' old fart, under the radar, planning. snicker Smiley

Usually, this thread is flooded by trolls during dull and bad days, but why today?  I don't get it.  Unless... they are so desperate having sold too early and seeing now the price, so the only thing that comes to their sick minds is to come here and do some shitposting with the same taste in their mouths. Guys, get a grip, Bitcoin is heading for another massive and long bull run. Buy now, hodl for 3-5 years and all your misery will be gone one day when you see the result. But if you are thinking that you can make a big hit with some pump/dump shitcoin, this is your sick brain that will lead you to a destruction. Nobody here is to blame when you will cry in pain and misery. Transaction fees, speed, bla bla bla. This trick will not work on the minds of the jedi here in WO! Tongue

I'm out of smerits so +1 WO merit  Cool

Could be on the above troll fest they read this today

https://bitcoinist.com/max-keiser-bitcoin-price-could-pass-usd-15k-this-week/

I'd guess that would have really set some folk off in the troll camp about Bitcoin....just saying something likely triggered such..I HOPE it was the above link!

1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you be mad if satoshi sold all coins they own right now? on: August 04, 2019, 05:03:35 AM
Well Craig Wright says he is gonna dump 1.1 million BTC on about Jan 1st, 2020 when he gets access to the 'tulip trust' of (likely) hal finney and dave klieman (see court case)

LOL... do you really believe any of this? We have been asking Craig Wright to prove that he is Satoshi for more than a year now. This guy has refused to do that, and on top of that he slapped lawsuits over those who rubbished his claim. If I am not wrong, even the court asked him to prove the ownership of his coins. He is just doing delaying tactics now. If he has the private keys for those coins, then he should move them right now, and not in 2020.

Naw, I don't really believe it. But if there was a way for Bitcoin to go beanie baby with a bang, it would be something 'unexpected' like this at an 'epic' level.

Of course, also, consider the 'premise' of this thread. My post follows that logic to an ugly extreme I admit. Sad Not like I promote this on anything but this what if thread. Smiley

I have talked it over with buysolar he is looking in an other direction.  So you can pull me off list.

Also off the list as well. Not getting the T30 either.

I sent you a detailed pm of why that I don't need to get into with you here on this thread

that makes it pretty clear it won't fly under my circumstances. Others maybe, me not so much Sad

So I'm out on the T30 and the T53 as well.

Not a good time to be a USA miner and have tariffs.

Anyway, keep me informed, I will watch from the 'kiddie pool' and maybe wade in again someday.

Maybe by the end of Fall 2019, the USA tariffs will go away and my circumstances/viewpoint will change.

Anyway, thanks for your efforts, at least we made contact and I have a contact from all this.

Keep in touch

Hi, guys! Some news about listing?  Smiley
I remember twit from June about new exchanges soon.
Maybe you have some news about it?  Cheesy

Thank you!)

It said we'll apply for big exchanges which we did, but then with the loss of circulating supply being shown at CMC, we lost the momentum/volume required for a listing at a top exchange, and now aim to first release important upgrades to our wallets/Bitcoin 2 before listing at new exchanges. Current ETA one week or so for the wallet upgrade part of that, new exchange listing(s) expected to come some time after that.
LMAO just admit this coin is fraud clone of Bitcoin lmao no hardfork

for the ppl like you that don't have any bitcoin during the hardfork, thats really nothing matter if this is a clone or  a hardfork.....but....for the ppl that do have bitcoin during the hardfork....we know that this is a hardfork.....Cheers!

So say if you have 10 BTC from 2015 do you have a hard fork of BTC 2 also or not...confused on what is transpiring here.

these are my last 6 months´ earnings with independent Sherwood-pool, and I can tell you that I dont have 10k Lisk.

just over the last few days I´ve earned almost 40 Lisk via Sherwood´s bonus campaign, although only 1 of their delegates is still forging...
you need 8 weeks to earn this at Elite and their shitty 53 (!) delegates.

an absolutely shame that so many dumbasses are unvoting these generous guys and prefer strengthen the Lisk-mafia.

sh*t...what is the sherwood link again? I still think I have phoenix1969 on the list and he flipped it to someone when he moved on

https://www.ccn.com/opinion/bitcoin-ponzi-scheme-craig-wright/2019/08/02/

so 1.1 million x current $11,000 = 12,100,000,000 usd. (12.1 Billion Dollars) of which he claims he will pay taxes on.

So would ANY exchange survive a 12.1 Billion dollar dump all in the same day? Indeed would not the price go down to under $1,000 or more?

As impossible as it is that BTC has gone as far as it has in 10 years, IMHO, if it did 'blow up' and go beanie baby and tulips, this probably would be the kinda thing on how it would go

-snip-
I believe the same pattern will be happening in the future, the ATH of litecoin reached caused by the bulltrend of bitcon and litecoin is not growing caused by its development progress. we will see that next month big drop for litecoin to happen again.
Remember about bitcoin and the old patterns always getting repeated anytime.

I still think with the backlash the Libra has from USA congress, that doing mimblewimble for Litecoin (that BTC passed on doing due to controversy) will be dropped.

Just can't see it happening with the cluster about NON-private transactions like BTC and Libra.

LTC foundation will 'buckle' and not do this is my view.

hope to be wrong, just can't see it with the Libra backlash

1220  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: US Tariff Ruling N297495 = 2.6% mandatory tariff on bitcoin mining hardware on: August 02, 2019, 07:22:24 PM
At this point any loophole is moot unless you can find s (omeone in Mexico trustworthy ship it there and then drive it into the USA in that manner.

(Damn, unlikely) Alas!

10% additional tariff to China announcement below:

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/01/trump-says-us-will-impose-10percent-tariffs-on-300-billion-of-chinese-goods-starting-september-1.html

So now we are at 36.7%, with the previous 25% tariff and 2.6% regular import fees. Thus this added 10% tariff starting Septemeber 1st,  on Chinese ASIC miners of any flavor.

I'm not sure what price of BTC or any crypto altcoin would have to be at the current difficulty in the USA would 'float the boat'. Add pre-orders to this and no way to any indeed!

A buddy says he also expects, regardless of the above, that BTC difficulty will double by the end of this year.

Sheesh.
