Major Wallet Update v3 has been pushed to the github, (anon, bip32, html5, btc upstream compatible, vpos2 and more new features)
*Documentation and more info on this features/update will be released/shared with the compiled wallets release.

I have to set up the environments again for the windows and mac compilations but will be busy to do so until the weekend,

so to incentivize some interactivity if any member of the community would like to earn a bounty for compiling it for windows / mac there is a 40,000 OKCash bounty for the compiled clean working wallet on each (need to send it directly to me via PM to check and approve before getting the bounty)

Nodes can start to update to v3 at git.

https://github.com/okcashpro/okcash

Welcome to all the new reddit/twitter/btalk members to the community.

edit:  Mac Wallet Bounty already claimed,  Windows Wallet bounty still available.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Again the same:

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on Sept 25th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.

Definitely this coin need news and more exchanges and be paired with anothers coins like to LTC , ETH, Etc,
This will decrease the pressure of bittrex and will help to more investors to support the  stability  and growth of the coin.

Not exactly sure why they keep posting that up. The volume has been on average much more than that.

The fact is that this message is unattractive to investors so new exchanges could be of much more help.

mandatory update - soon all previous clients will stop to be accepted by the network
(your coins will be safe but you wont be able to use them until you update to a v3 version).

v3 Mac OSX clients to be released in the coming days*

**********************************************************************

*New users need no extra steps.
Just download and start your new OK wallet to start using the software.

*Users with previous wallets.
How to update:

This update requires a change in the database structure to open the new features, needs to resync.
(All your coins are safe of course)

1.- Delete old okcash-qt.exe clients and download the new okcash v3 client. ( Zip or Installer)

2.- Go to your okcash data folder at:

Windows:
C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Roaming\OKCash

Mac OS:
~/Library/Application Support/OKCash/

Linux:
~/.okcash/

Make a backup of your "wallet.dat" file, and delete all the other files in this folder except for "wallet.dat"

3.- Install or unzip your new okcash v3 client and it will start to sync.

4.- For faster sync you can download a bootstrap file at:

http://bit.ly/OKbootstrap
unzip and place it into the okcash data folder before starting the v3 client.
(It will take around 2 hours for the wallet to reindex the blocks from the bootstrap,
it may seem unresponsive but give it some time and it will finish its work loading the chain)

HTML5 upgrade from Shadowcoin Tech. In wallet HTML5 Framework.

HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. It was finalized, and published, on 28 October 2014 by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is the fifth revision of the HTML standard since the inception of the World Wide Web. The previous version, HTML 4, was standardized in 1997.

Its core aims are to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices (web browsers, parsers, etc.). HTML5 is intended to subsume not only HTML 4, but also XHTML 1 and DOM Level 2 HTML.

BIP32 upgrade from Bitcoin Tech. Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) key creation and transfer protocol (BIP32).

Syncing the blockchain right now. Windows installer is creating folders with "OKCash v2.0" name in it instead of v3.0.

The new folder for instalation should be "OKCash",
the installer recognized the previous installation folder, hence tried to install under "OKCash v2" on your system,

Thanks to your feedback it has been fixed, installer will select the new "OKCash" folder no matter if you had it installed in another one before, Thanks.

Thx lenny, glad you like the new update

Why move from scrypt to SHA256?

SHA256 gives less processing overhead in the staking process than Scrypt which reduces the memory footprint in the system and it has been more tested so its fair to say its more secure as well.

It is a great option, Community should continue to send them mails/requests/tweets if you would like to see OK at Poloniex, we already send them the proper info, it is on the community hands now.

Congratulations to the community, OKCash now on #56 position at coingecko ranks.
