[DOGED][REBRANDING TO $XVG] DogeCoinDark [Scrypt][privacy/TOR/i2P resources]

   I like a lot of them.  Keep adding and re-polling.  Eventually come up with the top 2-3 and set a final vote.  But so far a lot of good ideas...      

Unfortunately dev decided not to do this and instead goes against his own principles to make an executive decision

if you don't like it, no one is making you stay here, just sell your coins. or hold them. but for the love of god, please stop whining.

Why don't you do what chilly said? People got behind DOGED because the dev stays true to his principles not because of the coin. If you make executive decisions your reputation for being the truest dev is lost

that is what i did up until today. for the past 2 weeks or so. like i said, i picked this name, because it had the most votes, and i thought about it and liked it as well.

no one here picked dogecoindark, i did. i picked this name from the communitys top pick. like it or leave it man.

please stop posting negative posts about it now. you are one person, many others are fine, and those who didnt pick verge are still satisfied we came to a conclusion.

tomorrow ill be working on our github repo, on rebranding and hope to have links up by tomorrow evening for at least *most* of our github repo.. then i will slowly build an ANN on here, but i wont post it until its complete.

Since we are still talking names, I wanted to throw my opinion out there:
"Clear" does sound good, but basically means the opposite to me, totally transparent, and unhidden.
If I could, I would go back and change my vote from Cogs to Verge.
I like the name, and believe it will grow on us.

I Really admire your dedication to what you have created. And i am really looking forward to what lies ahead for VERGE.

thanks! yes, at first i was rather against the idea myself, but i really put alot of thought into it, and i think we will be taken alot more seriously with a new name.

there will be no preconceptions as to what we are, and when people find out that we are the only coin offering this kind of privacy/security, i think it will spread.

and right now is a great time for people to come in while we are at such a low satoshi due to the cryptsy mess.

ps: yeah i've already taken the name VERGEdev (in our irc channel and here on bitcointalk, however i will most likely keep this account when i start a new ANN, so people arent frightened of the newbie status.)

I voted Hashcash but between COGs and Verge definately would vote for Verge. Besides it's important to have VergeDev motivated and working on something he really likes.

it's absurd the number of pre-mined coins out there it goes completely against what Bitcoin is all about. When the time comes to pour money into cryptos I'm sure only PoW coins will be the focus. Atm those premined coins are enjoying a free ride to the top of the charts all their bagholders but when reality sets in I/m confident coins like VERGE will come out on top.

Note to community.

We have achieved the 2 most important objectives with this currency.

1. NO MORE DOGE CONNECTION.
2. DOGEDARKDEV IS COMFORTABLE WITH THE NEW NAME.

Remember he didn't hand pick this name, he just felt a stronger connection to VERGE than any other names that were brought up.
So i for one personally would rather have Dogedarkdev comfortable with a name, instead of deep down not being comfortable with a chosen name.

Dogedarkdev is the one who has been, and will be doing all the work for rebranding, we pretty much get to sit on our BUMS.
I personally voted for another name, so what. I will just embrace the new name. The name will be what we make it Become.
The main things are Objective 1 & 2 have been accomplished. We are on the VERGE of something very special.
