+1 Cogs [COG]

That's the logo for Cyclists of Greater Seattle, but you get the idea...

Should be an acronym too...like Cryptocurrency of Great Stealth, or something.

interesting.  keep talking . . . .

I think there might be something to this "Cogs" thing.  Drawn from "incognito," it rolls off the tongue (just sent you a thousand cogs, etc.), natural logo (a cog is round...coin shaped), ticker symbol that pops [COG], and ability to create a new acronym that starts with "cryptocurrency."  Been trying to think of a better acronym than "Cryptocurrency of Great Stealth" which is a little cheesy, but a good start.

interesting.  keep talking . . . .

I've been running it through my head for a while now since you mentioned it.

COGS is a damn good name.

I think it gives people what they want in a name (COG indicating incognito, no coin or bit in the name, easy to say send me some cogs).

And then you go on to also call it an acronym for "Cryptocurrency of Great Stealth." That's fantastic!

More names,
moar names!

Thinking longterm on the name COGS. It's a pro name that businesses would be willing to implement into there applications.
The COG Network.

I think it holds up.

We should think big like that. There will be a great demand for strongly built bitcoin blockchain alternatives in the not too distant future. Bitcoin is getting swallowed up by huge banks as we speak.
Disregard the current fractional price, all owners of the Big D are positioned for the next wave, when bitcoin goes full mainstream and by proxy DOGED goes mainstream (still calling it DOGED for now).

We also still need a coin for all us normal people to trade with on parity with $1 USD.
I know it sounds ridiculous while these coins are trading between 3-6 satoshis but i think we will get to $1 a $DOGED (COG) in the future. In a reasonable amount of time.

Happy New Year all!

RE: Acronym, probably not necessary, but I think there are some good ones out there.  I was thinking of ones beginning with "Currency of . . . " or "Cryptography over . . . ":

Currency of Ghosts
Currency of Good
Cryptography over Greed
Cryptography over Govt
etc.

But, again, I'm not sure an official acronym is really needed (marketing wise, I kinda like all the possibilities in that the coin could be many things for many folks (this spirit might be the hat-tip to doge)).  Seems like there's a lot just to "cog" being shortened form of incognito.  The public label would be cog - like the physical object - but what lies beneath/in the shadows/or if you take a 30,000 ft view look is the full story: a currency with mad privacy traits.  I can see a logo in my head of the word "cog" in bold letters and and very faintly and immediately adjacent on each side of "cog" are the rest of the letters making up incognito - incognito).  The idea is that currency's name mirrors its utility - its hidden in plain sight. But even having said that, I still just like cog and cogs the best.

No need to mess with decimal placement.  A businessperson, or anyone else for that matter, would simply round off and ignore anything after the decimal.

I would also avoid using the full word "incognito" considering there has already been an Incognitocoin which is now dead.

Pretty cool. Just make to use X at the beginning of the symbol. It's gonna be a must in the near future.

Ex. XCG

it has to be 3 letters no more than that or won't be accepted.

im still confused as to why. where do you get this information? some exchanges use 4 already for crypto and stock markets can go up to 5, why would 3 symbols be a must in the future?

World Currencies use an 3 letters symbol system the "software" and system are made that way no more no less. And all later included has to use X as first letter. Ripple is a good example of understanding how it works.

but why would we have to follow ISO 4217? Ripple placates to big banks, which is something cryptocurrency was never meant to do.

If we want them to be able to buy our coin in their system we need to that's trillions fx market which would be opened to the coin in the future

I would also avoid using the full word "incognito" considering there has already been an Incognitocoin which is now dead.
Then at least cut off the last 6 decimals (i.e. 1.00) making it possible to round by hand in a few seconds rather than a minute. Bitcoin is a proof of engineering concept but not business user friendly because of this.

I would be in favor of displaying the total whole coins in the wallet as the default view, as long as there's an option to toggle the full 8 decimal total on.

i really like the sound of this it could even represent Currency Of Great Shibes COGS lol
I also think the thought of re branding has got the DOGED community a bit more active in here too.
I mentioned on Cryptsy chatbox that getting your BTC out with DOGED is better than DOGE IMHO. as some people took a 30% loss on DOGE withdrawals just to get out of Cryptsy. I have since noticed some bigger buys there as people are looking for good coins to withdraw from cryptsy. and of course DOGED IS BY FAR THE BEST ALTCOIN PERIOD!  Wink
