I cannot get my wallet to open after extracting it.I have done everything correctly so far but when I click on the qt it gives runtime error with stuff like c/programme files/user etc and no appdata files found and 70 files missing among many other errors but I have deleted everything and downloaded a new wallet and same thing.Has anyone this problem or can someone advise please?

Where did you download the wallet?What version??Only download wallets on this thread or the official website because if you download a wallet off an old thread and send to an old address or wallet on a different chain your coins are lost forever and there is nothing we can do to help.


If however you have downloaded a correct version from either here or the website and done everything correctly then there should be no problem.Current version and chain is 100% flawless.


If your operating system on your computer is windows make sure you have a windows client etc because a windows client doesnt work on mac and vice versa.

If your appadata directory is missing then you would have to repair your system on your computer but type in your search box   %Appdata% to see if roaming directory is there first.If it is you can probably start the client from within this area by just dropping the client in there and extracting it but you would have to search %Appdata% everytime you need to open the client or if you can make up a shortcut and point it there etc.

Fair point.  I think I read somewhere that even Satoshi thought maybe BTC should have had higher inflation.  In the sense that low inflation could be seen as unfairly benefiting early adopters and hoarders
