It is a political competition and it is sad for sports fans to involve politics into sports and the strange aspect is that there is only restriction for cricket, the rest of the sporting events continue as normal from what i understand.

Yes.. this is something I fail to understand. All these restrictions are in place only for cricket. For example, Pakistani players are banned from IPL. But at the same time, Pakistani actors and singers are allowed in Bollywood. India is playing against Pakistan in other sports, such as football and hockey. I don't understand why for cricket there are different norms.

I can assure you losing or winning against Pakistan is not a big deal in India anymore, i have witnessed this in Champions Trophy tournament. Every one was like Yeah they played well and Indian team was shit so they deserve to lose the game.. there was no outrage whatsoever like it used to be in the past.

I can assure you losing or winning against Pakistan is not a big deal in India anymore, i have witnessed this in Champions Trophy tournament. Right now I agree with @JSRAW win or lost is nothing problem its all about political issue and Cricket is really big even here in Sub-Continent India taking some good profit from this all and now they understand if they play with Pakistan then they are going to have really big profit as well so they don't like this all IPL no need any special thing for more money as they already have enough and if PSL is going to be  on air in India then surely its going to give them very big profit so its related to this all not win or lost.

There should be a balance between pride and commercialization of sports. Franchise league like IPL puts money before anything else. There is a slight taste of regionalization with different teams named after cities and they playing their home matches, 50% of games in the league in home ground. But there's no other rules that makes the team look like regional, no local players rule or no locals in board members. When it comes to national games, there's always a sense of pride in the general public. It's really rare to see a citizen of a playing nation not supporting his/her team in a national game.

The government is trying hard to fool people as cricket is the major sports in India they want to show how patriotic they are by banning any series between them in cricket and the rest of the sports are not having that much fan following even though hockey is the national game you hardly find any fans in the stadium.

Far from the truth now, India is much better team and it will be squash match if they play but in the past Pakistan had the best players in the world and it was competitive.

I don't have much examples to share right now but see the most recent statements from both the teams fans before they met in the world cup match in 2019.
Both teams can afford to lose the WC final but can't afford to lose against each other.

When it comes to national games, there's always a sense of pride in the general public. It's really rare to see a citizen of a playing nation not supporting his/her team in a national game.

This is actually one of the disadvantages with the IPL. Apart from the names, there is hardly anything which links the franchise with the city in which it is based in. A few teams such as KXIP and MI do have considerable number of players from their city, but other franchises don't have that advantage. I would rather blame the BCCI. If they remove the restrictions on team purse and all, then we'll see stable teams with a set fan base.

Both teams can afford to lose the WC final but can't afford to lose against each other.

It is true that if one side is dominating the hype will die off, usually England and Australia series was considered the biggest grudge match but there was a time when Australia was dominating world cricket and we knew what would happen if they face but when England was able to win a match in the 2005 Ashes then the hype was really high and the hope of retaining the Ashes was rising and that followed till the end and i consider that Ashes was the best cricket i have seen and i doubt India Pakistan match could replicate that.

I am confused what you are trying to tell, you love the game of cricket so much that you do not know the game and you want to learn from basic . If you want to learn about basics and the rules of cricket you can search in youtube and you will find many videos regarding that and then start watching matches and you will understand the game.

Then Pakistan has to deal with the additional handicap of poor security situation at home, which has forced them to play most of the bilateral series in the UAE. This has resulted in huge losses for the PCB, and as a result they are unable to properly fund the domestic game.

I believe if India was ruled by a liberal government and with Imran Khan in power in Pakistan there was a real possibility of sorting out their political differences and go about peacefully but with a right wing party who identity them behind a religion and carrying out their agenda without taking care about the constitution it is an impossible task.

Chacha along with Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary who paints himself as the Indian flag honoring Sachin were the biggest fans i know in cricket and their dedication to the game is outstanding, respect.
