Am I the only one thinking that team India is hiding behind the pitch and rain is actually saving them, Sri Lanka were considered under dogs and they are currently dominating on the pitch, had this been a proper five day match I don't think team India would have survived it, and this only shows what their performance will be against South Africa, if it doesn't rain next match put money on Lanka and Africa when they come.

You forget 1 thing, these seamy condition become because of rain, otherwise when did you last time saw so much swinging in India.

Initially, I thought India can give a fight after the batting collapse, but Srilankan batsman looking much comfortable, facing the Indian bowlers comfortably. Only one thing that can India is rain. From this stage, srilanka can't lose this match. India now will have to play for saving the match.

I expected this to be a good encounter when i saw the Indian famed batting collapsed ,but rain spoiled the entire match and with Srilanka still batting in the first innings it is hard to see a result in this match from this situation,India's tour to South Africa is a good challenge and hopefully we would see competitive cricket but South Africa will be winning the series.

I don't think we can expect a result from this match because SL still playing first innings and most likely India going to start their second innings soon because SL already lost two-wicket this morning and now Sri Lanka leading by 47 runs and another 3 wickets remaining in the 1st innings. If SL can reach around 300 runs in first innings will be a good total. If again India failed in second innings and lost wickets quickly then tomorrow we can see some exciting match.

India played well in the 2nd innings, negotiated the new ball well with an attacking cricket both KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan played with a positive intent. With only one day left, match heading towards the draw, as in Kolkata lights fades away early so can't expect the full 90overs quota as well.

So i think India will try to make lead of 250+ and then give Sri Lanka batting and try to take soon wicket. Do you think India can make 200 plus runs in the 1st session and after that, they can make all out SL in next 2 sessions? I don't think it will work out and India will win this test match. Yes in one day i think it is impossible suppose if India made 100+ runs lead today then we can think about this but they made just 49 runs. and making speed runs on this pitch is not easy. you are right if the miracle happens then only India can win this game.

Well its going to be an interesting Australian test team going into this years Ashes series with a couple of shock selections. One of them being Tim Paine being picked as the Australian wicket keeper who's test career looked over and was even dropped by the Tasmania side. This is a shock decision by the selectors with many people upset with the decision so I just hope they made the right call as Australia do have other wicket keepers who have been performing much better then Paine. Shaun Marsh has also been given his 8th chance to prove himself at test level along with uncapped Western Australia teammate Cameron Bancroft. So its going to be an interesting looking Australian team heading into the 1st test in a few days time.

Yes in one day i think it is impossible suppose if India made 100+ runs lead today then we can think about this but they made just 49 runs. and making speed runs on this pitch is not easy. you are right if the miracle happens then only India can win this game.

India came back very strong in the second innings and their run rate also very good in this second innings. But I don't think India will try to win this match instead they may use it as a batting practice match and play whole day or most of this last day. It is almost confirmed draw match unless as you said some miracle needs to happen to see any team to win this match. SL bowlers need to do some magic to take all the wickets in 40 overs then they will get around 50 overs to chase the runs but that is not going to happen.

Today India lost six-wickets quite fast and now they are leading by 159 runs and three wickets are remaining. The good thing is captain still playing. If SL can pick up the last three wickets quickly then they can try to do some magic win this match. Currently, the match is going towards a draw but very exciting to what happens.

It will end up in a draw unless something changes in the course of time where either SL gets all out which seems little difficult now. But a good match overall with the short time span.

What a thrilling end to the game I thought India would win this game today but bad luck the weather not supported. Due to bad light, the game was stopped early and the match was draw. It's an advantage for Sri Lanka and disadvantage for the Indian team. Great bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar he took 4 wickets in just 11 overs and gave only 8 runs.
