I don't think so I have a lot of people still use fiat money and more people don't use bitcoin. So I doubt the goverment will just replace it. If that ever happens the goverment need to have a bitcoin specialist or something. Because it will be difficult for people to use if they don't know it.

No bitcoin wont be able to replace any currencie, bitcoin has several advantages with transactions online, fiat is used online and into the real world, bitcoin has a long road till be used the same way and accepted.
I agree that Bitcoin won't be able to replace any kind of fiat currencies, but Bitcoin is in fact already being used as fiat. Can you buy things (can be anything) with Bitcoin? Check. Can you send money from point A to B? Check. Is it used by criminals for whatever purpose? Check. Are people getting paid in Bitcoin for doing work? Check. Ans the list goes on.... What's the difference according to you? |

Because the government is not going to allow a new currency to conquer their local currency. And they will going to have problem with it. They are not able to control the fluctuation of bitcoin so that is not going to be a good choice to replace dollar with a crypto currency. But who knows, we can't tell what is exactly going to happen in the future. |

I think Bitcoin replace it I think it is possible through time, maybe decades from now we'll use biticoin instead of the dollar. If that happens I know it is not impossible there will be a lot of changes in the future generations. Bitcoin is never going to replace the Dollar if I am correct because the Bitcoin has only just be around and it would not be possible for them to take over the dollar. I do not think that they need to take over the dollar they should stay in there own lane. |

No, there's no way bitcoin will ever replace dollar. Dollar is widely and commonly used for everyone in this world, bitcoin has no power in compare with dollar. Also, bitcoin value is depends on dollar, if dollar collapse so does bitcoin.

And why desire for the replacement if we can take advantage of both? No sense for us to dream for a higher price if bitcoin will replace dolllar soon. It's still good if we have dollars and bitcoin that existing in the financial world. |

Bitcoin will not replace dollar soon. At least not for the next 20 years. The user base of bitcoin is too small and governments will try their best to curb the usage of bitcoin.
It cannot, and should actually not replace any currency because we all actually need fiat unless Bitcoin gets used completely as a currency everywhere... Whether or not, still most people in the world know what Bitcoin is, so even if governments try to ban Bitcoins, people will still use it... I do not think that the bitcoin is going to replace the dollar because the dollar also has paper money and bitcoin does not have enough at least. It would be so weird if the bitcoin would take over the US Dollar. |

Not soon and even never bitcoin can replace dollar no matter what happens,i cannot think why it can happen realistically.Bitcoins price can increase alot,yes its possible and it can be started to accept my many peoples worldwide,but that can make a no difference in the acceptance of dollar or other fiat currency worldwide.

Do you seriously think that bitcoin can replace dollar? Bitcoin is not even close to this, how can bitcoin replace dollar when more then half of the world didn't hear about bitcoins in first place?
It is too early to talk about any replacing, dollar is too big and widely spread that bitcoin can just replace it, that is a process, and do you even know what kind of mess that would cause in worlds economy? Look what happened after replacing traditional currencies in Europe with euros, I hear more complaining then positive comments.
