i think that nothing is impossible. The problem is only time, and time here will be counted as a millennium or more and I do not think we'll be alive to see that happen. But now I can be for sure that in the near future, bitcoin will replace the dollar because eventually everyone will use bitcoin.
That would that all people will use online transaction, it's the only way I guess which I think would not be possible. Every country has different standings in the economy and that is why we have poor countries because they lack infrastructures which will make their economy not to progress faster, with bitcoin I guess it's not their primary concern yet, they have big problem with education and all they know is the conventional way and they will look for money but working all day, they do not need this technology so we can exempt. When bitcoin will replace dollar, that means it would be easy for small value currency to be replace, I just don't see it happening.

No bitcoin cannot replace Dollar at any cost.Government will do anything to maintain the integrity and strength of the Dollar.Dollar is used worldwide and is the international mode of payments in international markets. On the other hand bitcoin is just a cryptocurrency and cannot be considered safe for international transactions. But we cannot predict the future and anything can happen.

We must be realistic, dollar is the strongest currency of the world and dominated by USA superpower. of course they will do everything they can to keep it number one, bitcoin is hard to replace the dollar.
You are absolutely right. It will be very much difficult for Bitcoin to replace dollar. But there is nothing in this world which is not possible and there are likely chances that Bitcoin will replace Dollar in the future. We have already seen that Bitcoin is the top ranked Crypto Currency, so we can expect it to be the number 1 currency of the world as well.

I believe the Bitcoin will coexist with many other fiat including Chinese Yuan or US dollar. It could be a reserve currency.

Of course not. Bitcoin is a commodity and not a currency. How would a commodity replace a currency? Do you think that I'm going to start going into the stores and using pork bellies to pay for my purchases?

Ya I think the same as you think. What you are thinking will happen in near future. Since the price value of bitcoin is equal to the dollar. So you can see this will happen in near future. Dollar value may reduce due to the economy change. But bitcoin value will not charge at any time.

For the us dollar to replace cash it would mean that bitcoin would have to be worth millions each.
That would raise the price of all other cyrpto by an insane number. The market cap would be like 120 trillion or some crazy high number. maybe even 1 quadrillion...
Will be awesome to see such thing. It could happen. USAis 20 trillion in debt. if tomorrow we go default and Congress says bitcoin will become new currency it would spike really high!

I do not really think that this kind of transition will happen since dollar is not only based in one country and there is different types of money, Another thing is that, Poverty in some of the country is dominating and it will be harder for them to earn money since they do not have any knowledge about crypto currency if this change will happen.

Of course nothing is impossible. It will take some time to replace dollars in the market completely. We might not able to see that but our grandchildren can surely getting benefits from bitcoins. So we should more in bitcoins than any other currency so that this early investment can be a regular source of income for our children.

That's also impossible for but not an idea of replacing dollar, because it's really hard to replace dollar fiat nowadays due to bitcoin's price was based on the dollar currency exchange market. The scenario is this per bitcoin is really been price and related to dollar currency, same as other countries currency exchangers bitcoin price depends on the fiat buying value. So there's no reason that fiat dollar currency will replace bitcoin.

Very possible. The USA hates bitcoin though. Because the US government whats always to be in control. Japan is doing a good thing. IT accepts it as official currency.

I'm not sure this will happen in the near future, when compared with marketcap USD of course bitcoin no more than 2%, besides all countries receive USD so it will take a long time to beat the USD.

Actually Bitcoin is now the same role as dollar but it's in the crypto currency. Cause if you want to exchange this altcoin to other altcoin , you have to exchange it into bitcoin first, then after that you can exchange bitcoin into the coin you want. So the role of bitcoin is middle between every currencies. And I think it's nearly same with dollars.

Why does he even think like that in first place. It is the price difference and exchange capability of bitcoin and fiat currency which us making is rich. If that gets replaced with one currency then how we can get the profits or how we can differentiate ourselves with that price tag. I think it's not possible because it's just not well possible! There can not be two sun in the single solar system, it will burn the life. So there can not be two currency otherwise it will just break down the economy of country. The dollar bill is something related to traditions, old ways of trading and it will never get replaced in any time soon. Bitcoin is perfect fit in the internet world and might not just fit in the real world. So may be not this time.

Bitcoin is a currency, the purpose of creating bitcoin is to make it into as currency. You even can read there is a word coin in its name. We can use it to purchase something in internet or store, what you need is find the place that accept it. Although the liquidity of bitcoin is still low but the bitcoin adoption is still growing. Bitcoin has a chance to replace dollar but not in a short time.

I don't think "soon" but I do think after 15 years or so it is a definite possibility. "soon" i guess is a relative term.
I bet to disagree, dollar has been fiat way back and most of the sccessful asaction were done through dollard , I believd bitcoin will be knoen all over the world soon and it will be used by most of the pople in near future and it will run with he dollars and be used for payment local or public transactions but I on see soon that it wll replace dollar.

US economy isn't going good. US Dollar will drop in years for sure. There are too many risks for US dollar. Possible North Korea war is soon. And this make bitcoin more valueable. Overall bitcoin will not replace US Dollar but it will gain more value then US Dollar for sure.

While I do agree that two currencies cannot be the main currency of a country, I don't really agree that the world is all about tradition. The traditional way might be sending money with dollars. The traditional way might even be physical fiat but that's clearly not the case anymore. In this modern age, people don't really embrace traditions that much anymore. People seek something new everyday and bitcoin is something new. It's only a matter of time before bitcoin gets considered as a "cool" thing and people will follow the trend. These days, people are into bitcoin because of the ridiculous gains it had given us in the past couple of months. Another thing, I do agree that bitcoin cannot be the main currency of a country together with their local currency because bitcoin is not taxable. The country will have no funds and so they will be forced to ban bitcoins (which is quite hard to do, impossible even) or put a huge percentage of tax for fiat currency users, which will then of course force them to use bitcoins instead.
