I think the government will put up the biggest fight against it. Plus, what is the country going to do with the federal reserve? lol.

I mean impossible with this volatiliy, alright dollar is volalite too i know but; everyone in the world measures everything's value in dollars. Not anything else, not in gold, not in Euro's, not in gas... Only US Dollars. USA rules the world(now and maybe later).

I think it takes a very long time to replace the bitcoin dollar to perform various test selection and of course bitcoin will be controlled by the government that causes bitcoin more difficult in the can.

While I am very positive about bitcoin's future status, I can not see how it could replace world's most powerful currency in the foreseeable future.
The economical system in the US only continues to work because most countries in this world have to accept the US dollar as a payment method.
The dollar has already been accepted by all countries. People prefer to keep their savings in dollars. Even if their national currency is not a dollar). But bitcoin will never replace the currency of the currency

It will take a lot more time for bitcoin to grow to the stage where it is accepted throughout the world, but even at this stage I don't think it will replace the dollar, I expect that USD and BTC will be used in tandem with one another.
I strongly condemn the idea of bitcoin replacing any other currency. Why bitcoin will replace? Now if bitcoin is so much high why it is so much like this high? Because it is short in number relative to all the users around the world. Let assume if bitcoin replace dollar do you really think will bitcoin would maintain its charm as it has now? No, never.

But bitcoin will never replace the currency of the currency People keep their savings in USD because it's the most stable currency on the planet right now. Gold is more volatile, bitcoin is WAY more volatile. The point of saving is to retain value over long stretches of time. Without a stable currency, saving is impossible. Bitcoin will not replace the USD because it's not more stable than the USD. Stability is the most important function of any currency. Everyone uses bitcoin to speculate, or to try to get more USD. This is the biggest hindrance to bitcoin ever supplanting the USD in any regard.

I think it would take more than 15 years before bitcoin could replace US dollars because USD and other fiat currencies are regulated by the Countries Goverment it is up to the government if they will allow the change of currency to bitcoin and i doubt that they will approve it because Fiat money are under the control of Government while bitcoin is uncontrollable.

Government will not allow this to happen because if bitcoin will be given a permision to buy thing or maybe to be distributed to the workers as salary they didnt collect a tax and it will be having a worst effect in the economy. Governments need to neutralize the economy so then i think it is not going to happen.

No one can say about it but someone ask me this question then definitely I will explain it as it is true that dollar is a well known and high value currency but dollar has some limitations like its usage in a limited number of countries while in the case of bitcoin it provides financial freedom for all the investors and being a digital and virtual currency the popularity and the positive response has been received from all over the world.

I believe so. We are just waiting for the mass adaption of bitcoin and we will just add some major improvements so anyone from poor to rich will have the accessibility to use bitcoin. We are moving forward to a more advance digital age and bitcoin is going to be a part of it.
I don’t think so because in bear future it has very low chances but in far future it is absolutely possible because the future is of crypto currencies not of paper currencies because world is becoming a global village so how its possible that a village can be run by multiple currencies . So the global village will needs to have a single unique currency and that will be bit coin because bitcoin has the ability to become the global currency.

I doubt if this will happen soon, maybe in the future if we advance in technology, we can replace fiat money with crypto currency. The government wouldn't allow cryptocurrency to take over fiat money because they would lose control over it. The government controls fiat money and since bitcoin is decentralized, it would give them a hard time if cryptocurrency will be the main currency that would be use for transactions. Indeed the government wont allow that to happen also because not anyone can access to internet where mostly bitcoin transaction is used. The poor population who cannot afford to buy electronics and connect to internet will suffer if dollar is replace by bitcoin. And I think not all are interested about this digital currency, its a big hit for the new generation but not for the old ones. So i think its not going to happen any time soon.

Maybe in the future bitcoin can replace dollar. But for as long as the dollars is governed by the government it would be harder for bitcoin to replace it. If it happens i dont think i am still alive during that time.

Not possible but we should a hundred years maybe before it happens. Since dollar is fully established and usually used in any transactions and also because of stability value of bitcoin in the market. If government fully support cryptocurrencies, then a big change for that but as I've said it's a long process and many publications be made in order to gain more supporters towards crypto.

I don't think Bitcoin will be able to replace Bitcoin within 15 years simply because dollar can be used offline but the use of Bitcoin required Internet. Dollar is the most popular currency in the entire world and it is accepted almost everywhere and by everyone in this world. Whereas Bitcoin is not that popular. Bitcoin is seen mostly as an investment by many.

I am not agree with your post. I don't think bitcoin can take place of dollars. Not everyone aware about the bitcoins yet. They have to first learn about bitcoin at least basic which isn't easy for a common man. So in order to take place bitcoin should grow more and used more. I wonder how will new people use bitcoin when they find its price too expensive like 4000 - 5000$.

Everything is possible,so we cannot say anything about the future.Though bitcoin is increasing at a very fast rate and gives us big returns,it cannot replace the dollar at any cost.Bitcoin is only a cryptocurrency. The government takes strong measures to stabilize and maintain the integrity of the dollar.Government can also ban the bitcoin.

well that is not something very easy to happen. However if the people/federal reserve/governments who control the dollar, get the power to control Bitcoin then, yes, they can replace the dollar with bitcoin overnight.

If the dollar retains crashing and bitcoin's retains receiving a lot more and far more investors then indeed the volume and the role of bitcoin in the monetary industry will adjust.Changing the dollar as the principal forex of the world.

Nope that cant happen. Maybe after 20 years or something. Many people doesnt even know what Bitcoin is and that is difficult to replace it. First you must learn them how Bitcoin works and than you can replace it. So maybe later in the future. I will agree with you in this context that many people are indeed still totally unaware of bitcoins. Their minds are blank about bitcoins or they don’t even have a simple concept of digital currencies. To make bitcoins replace dollar, we need to make bitcoins as much popular as dollar is. That’s true. Bitcoins still need few years to replace dollar because they are older currencies and again same thing that you have also talked about i.e. popularity of these two. There is a big difference in the popularity of the both currencies. We need to push the common sue of bitcoins if we want them to replace dollar. I don’t think so because dollar has its own values and market cap, although bitcoin price is more valuable than dollar. But as it is a paper currency so till date the hold over the world market is that of just dollar, because if I travel to other country of the world I must need to change my local currency in US dollar and this is fact. So I think that it would be very difficult for bitcoin to replace dollar soon.
