I think you would want to buy when the price is cheaper, not higher? Anyway, I agree ETH might have some more downside to it and it would be better to get a sense of where the new bottom will be before buying in.

The most likely explanation for their 3 million or so market cap is that they airdropped most of the coins to themselves.

I would pick Gridcoin (GRC), as it is one of the more interesting coins out there.

I think the Ethereum will do very well this year. More Dapps will come out based on the Ethereum platform.
