Verge/$XVG offers BLACKHOLE TECH and is a rebranding of DOgecoinDark/DOGED so it's a coin that has history and not premined. It is POW and community wanted to move away from the DOGE trademark that was holding the project back, therefore a rebranding.

Still undervalued because If you compare the supply and price with XEM, there is much room to grow. The vision is to make privacy user friendly for people who dont have time to invest to learn on how to setup privacy.

More info on BLACKHOLE TECH

Check out this thread Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1392866.new#new

We will talk about a lot of secret weapons in the cryptocurrency world. A lot of upcoming interviews too.

My bets are on several coins.

- NEM/XEM as a standard payment method (will get huge in asia first)
- syscoin (decentralized Marketplace)

Tooo many coins to mention Smiley

I agree.

ETH is purley driven hard by speculation and hype with no real use currently, that and being difficult to use.
I still have security concerns with it also.

Once NEM gains fast traction, which is becoming apparent in asia, things will really skyrocket.

Gridcoin: Mining consists of running BOINC projects to find Aliens, fold proteins, model the brain,... The whole thing is completely decentralized though, which is quite complicated to make: The network comes to a consensus who has done how much work for which project and this information is stored in a superblock. Gridcoin is based on PoS, but it has a large additional reward on top of PoS depending on how much research was done by this user.

In the past the main problem of Gridcoin was that it was quite complicated to set up, as the whole decentralized proof of research idea is very hard to pull off. But now with the pool (pool.gridcoin.co) mining and participating has become much easier and I expect very large growth. Already now Gridcoin has 1100+ current miners (http://www.gridresearchcorp.com/gridcoin/?result&t=CPID_Leaderboard), and around 87 additionally in the pool (http://pool.gridcoin.co/rankings/).

Also in regards to full nodes, scalability.... Gridcoin has a very elegant way to solve that. Any distributed BOINC project can be supported, so it is possible to create a boinc project that consists of running Gridocin (or also Bitcoin) full nodes. So you get rewarded in GRC for running full nodes, which is an incentive for many people to run full nodes. Mining by running full nodes Smiley

BITBAY!! - An altcoins with actual tech behind them rather than hype. Bitbay has just created  the first ever working decentralised market and is in the process of getting pegged to the dollar. Bitbays led dev is David Zimbeck - the guy who created 'Halo' and 'Night-trader' for Blackcoin. He's behind Bitbay and works on it full-time! Should easily be on par with Blackcoin in marketcap!

Sounds good, but NXT has already done this for some time, along with other platforms out there.

Vanilla/VNL (now called VCash/XVC) is the future. anonymous and it does instant transactions. It is the only currency that Poloniex accepted with only one (!!!) confirmation.

I think the best altcoin to invest in 2016 is Cloakcoin.

PoSA anonymous transactions, wallet is released in the end of March, strong community.

Vlad2Vlad thinks it is ixcoin:

The deeper I go down this rabbit hole the more spooked I get.

This is getting seriously ridiculous even for a guy like me.

The Oxyrhynchus Papyrus is the oldest known copy of the Book of Revelations (Apocalipsa).

Here is a chunk of it - the original Greek version as handwritten by Apostle John, before it was translated into all the other languages of the world.  This chunk is from Revelations 13 where Apostle John states the riddle of the mark (Symbol) and number of the beast which is chi-iota-sigma (Greek Translation is 616 not 666).

The riddle of the mark (Symbol) and number of the Beast as seen in the visions of Apostle John.

No they are not true decentralised! Only Bitbay offer this

Really?
Its all blockchain based, everyone can run a node, so not really centralised at all.

RibbitRewards (RBR) RibbitRewards is an altcoin which isn’t designed to be a regular currency, but is instead intended to be used by businesses for loyalty rewards. Originally it seemed to focus on the internet retail sector, with prominent plans to create their own multi-currency shopping site at Marketplace.life. A general lack of interest and delays in getting this shopping site seem to have been the main reasons behind a huge drop in value by over 90% during a crash in 2015, and the price has only recovered very weakly from its lows.

In recent weeks, however, a series of blog posts from RibbitRewards team members (e.g. here, here and here) have provided teasers for what seems to be a major pivot. I can’t really do it justice in this short description, but basically they are building much more back-end technology to drive a wide range of different loyalty and rewards programs with smart contracts and branded rewards collateralized by RBR in addition to the ‘coalition rewards’ system which directly utilizes the tokens themselves.

This is a huge market, worth many tens of billions, and there seem to be some great advantages that blockchain technology can offer. Arguably this also offers a much easier path to large-scale adoption than most altcoins, as you are not asking people to switch currencies but just to use a different app with enhanced features for storing their rewards points.

It will be interesting to see how this tech develops and how it is used by different businesses, if it is used at all, and in terms of price: even a handful of small businesses using this technology would have to drive up the price from its current levels. With the potential to engage larger businesses, and marketplace.life still in the works for some point in the future, there seems to me to be an amazing potential for profit in this coin.

What about "Elastic, the decentralized supercomputer"?

This is a viable project? Would like to have some opinion about it.

I think dogecoin is always a good idea. Stays already good for a long time now.If you can buy DOGE at about 50 sat as now, that is always a good price i think. It never goes much lower than that and sometimes goes up to 70 - 80 sat.

I'm thinking if Elastic coin has some relation with Gridcoin, once Gridcoin Project directs the computational power to solve scientific problems, integrated with BOINC (Berkley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing).

What are the Elastic improvements, in that case?
