Probably you have to wait to 2050 or forever. Grin

I guess the bitcoin price will increase soon especially after the next halving, that's why i believe holding some bitcoins isn't bad idea and can make us some profit sooner or later

i'm holding 80% of bitcoin to sell when halving pump begins and 20% to purchase goods/services. i think everyone should hold a % for selling and use rest of % for bitcoin merchant adoption.

But I'm holding my bitcoin for the price of $10k. If this price is achieved by upcoming halving then I may sell only 50% of holding. I believe most of the people are holding for some price target like me. I believe I can hold my bitcoin for next 20 to 40 years by selling only some portions of it time to time.
I really honestly dont think the price is going to hit $10K anytime soon, even after the halfing im expected prices to be around 800 ish.

Personally I'm not holding bitcoin for a price target. i am holding it incase price does go up, but i dont really have a target in mind.

So are you holding your bitcoins for future events such as halving or you more like to spend your bitcoins when you get it? I personally like to spend it for digital goods usually...

Voted.

For now again im still holding and collecting bitcoin and waiting for price increase.I have a strong faith that the bitcoin will be rise on $1200.I hope that it will happen this comming year...
I think you may be right ...I see bitcoin prices 1,200-1,400 before halving....but then coming back down and settling around 600 afterward. I guess I hold and if I see the spike I sell maybe some...question is how much 25%....50%?

Yes btc prices are very volatile so if you buy some coins and hold surely prices will go up and when prices go up you shouldn't miss the chance to sell when you make some decent profits. If you wait for long or wait by thinking prices may go further up then you will not sell any time. I sold around 480 level and brought around 380 level again.

Yeah usually the end of the year the price of bitcoin will go up, I had a hunch it, and I hold 60% of my bankroll to wait for prices to rise, hopefully

Yes If you do not know how to grow your bitcoins then just hold on to it then surely one day you can sell at higher prices. But if you know the ways to earn or grow your bitcoins because of its price volatility then you can make more profits by trading than just holding on to it.

need something really shook the world, such as the financial crisis, will probably adopt bitcoin and the price will go up

Yes this time you did it right. But that very simple as spikes like this one are not sustainable. So the difficulty here is to sell at the top.
But with an slower increase, therefore also less volatility, getting out could be quite risky because it could take several months or even longer before the price might drop again. And in a few years you might look back and think $300 was damn cheap when mid 4 digits is the norm.

If the bitcoin community can reach a consensus about the blockchain size, the price will shoot up quickly, maybe to $600. If not, the price will rise slowly.

I buy a small amount of coins just now @ 319 (came from selling @ 470 last rally) eventhough possiblity of making it much lower price is quiet high.

Well I gamble a small amount to test my own speculation. Because of this I need to hold that newly buy coins. But whatever will happen no worries. Just testing something.

are you basing your buys and sells on any thing...any technical indicators or trading strategy...or is it a gut reaction. You seemed to have picked the relative recent top pretty accurately.

and low 300's seem like a reasonable re-entry, although I agree it could go much lower
