I would like to say that I am holding my BTC for price increase, but the sad part about it all is that I do not have any BTC to hold.  I end up using all I get as soon as I can earn it.  I want to offer a service here, but there are to many people offering a service and everyone is trying to undercut you, so I would make more money on faucets before I actually get a gig.

I don't know if it's a good time to hold your bitcoins only because this is the time Bitcoin kind of goes stagnant. It won't be rising or dropping that much but I do hope to hold again by the end of January.

Me personally, I am doing both.  I am using coins(not every day or anything) to buy certain things I like, or entertainment purchases.  I am also saving my coins, hoping for the chance that Bitcoins will rise in value to the point where I could quit my job:)

I'm holding them for an increase in price, because I believe it will rise more. But I still like to spend them online as well. The whole point of having money is to spend it.

Just trying to accumulate more, don't intend to cash out for fiat for a very long time if ever depending on how Bitcoin develops.

I'm also. Because I do not have other options with my little bitcoins. So, I let my bitcoins to sit ideally in my wallet. It may grow in value over time as everyone here is expecting.

I will also accumulate more. I will not cash out for fiat, but I will use some of my bitcoins now and then.

I believe in short-term itself we can get more profit by holding out bitcoins. Many people here are saying in long-term only bitcoin will get more profits. I can say the many new business accepting bitcoin now a days. And moreover the upcoming halving must be another reason, I'm aiming for the price raise. Bitcoin will get five fold returns in next six month as per my prediction.

It will, in time. We just have to wait for it. Some still think that it will not come all the way up. But we as bitcoin holders still hopes for that day that we rise.

Yes it will rise soon so while halving approaches, let's accumulate coins whatever ways we know to take advantage of that event that will lead to price boost that we will noticed after that.

I try to accumulate as more as possible. I go by that idea even 0.1 BTC can be worth $50 in a year or two. So every single satoshi counts towards the final goal, financial independence.

And with lots of rumors of having such a high bitcoin price thru the effect of bitcoin halving, true or not that it will happen, holding coins will give you benefit. Much better too if you always increase your hold coins. Better to act than regret later.

I am holding some for price increase and I spend a few. I just spend a few and make a few mining. I sell altcoins that I mine

and convert that to BTC. Then I split profits, most times and spend a little, never on gambling, though. Gambling is a no-go for

me.

the same as I do it seems like we've done our best, I use bitcoin for other purposes such as purchasing an item, and save the other as an investment as well

It's worth holding your funds if you have over 1 BTC atleast as if the price is $430 and a year later the price is $600-$800. For small amounts, it is better to wait for a month or so as the profit margin also is very less and fiat cash is always preferred.

It's not about gambling but whether you strongly believe that the price will increase and that's the reason you are holding the bitcoins. I am holding my bitcoins so that I can sell them after halving at whatever rate it is if I believe it's profitable for me. I wanted to try mining altcoins but don't know what's the profit margin I should set. How much do you make by mining?

Gambling will make you broke. Yeah always on the losing side.

I think you are a pro regarding trading altcoins. Split profits?  Huh I am still newbie regarding this kind of things. I wanna know more but my only mentor is google which is sometimes not enough.

Is mining altcoin profitable? or just if you have the mining hardware?

Never gamble man, better earn your money by working on it than using luck to multiply it.
