Mourinho wanted their players focus on training nearly Italy and improve themselves rather than wasting time, energy and resoruces for unnecessary things that can not help them to end in top four or to win Scudetto next season.
This strategy of Mourinho in this summer makes AS Roma becomes a very big hidden team in Serie A. They are really ready to beat top clubs for fop 4 and if the new season goes well, they get enough luck, they can dream for Scudetto. It is difficult but is not something impossible and unreachable.

I still think that Juventus does not have a good attacking setup in the team. Inter has a really good chance of winning the next Italian league title. Roma is a good team. And with Paulo Dybala coming into the team there should be a lot stronger. But the team is not balanced overall. And having only one player who can perform really great in the team is not going to be enough for them. I highly doubt that Milan will be able to keep the league title to themselves. I see Inter being the better competitor for Milan compared to Juventus and Roma.

I think they do not have enough talent to keep this going, if they had it then we would be seeing it but being top 2-3 in Serie A next year? Even with Mourinho, they will not be able to achieve that. I guess they would want that but they would probably not get that at all.

This is why I am trying to see how they could get better but it looks like a lot more transfers are the only way to do that. At the very least they are training hard, meaning that they will be ready when the league starts, because whoever has a great start at the first weeks of the season, will have a bigger advantage when we are getting closer to last few weeks as well so this is important.
