I agree with you. Juventus' squad is not weak. And their performance in the last season was quite good. However, they have several problems within the club. If they want to do well in the next season, the players of the squad must be more confident. If the players are not confident, the team will not be able to play consistently well in the next season. I think it depends on the quality of their team after this summer transfer window. Nobody can really tell at this point whether lots of players will be leaving. Of course a lot of stuff is just rumors, but when they also have to give away some of their best players (I only heard that Bayern MUnich might be after Vlahovic), other players will start and think about their future as well. They won't be a bad team, but will they be the toP Juventus team that we usually know? I am not sure about that and it is definitely a disadvantage if you are competing for players and contracts and you can't offer them any games on the European stages.

The back line was indeed one of the weaknesses shown by Juventus last season. Often they fail to overcome counterattacks from opponents. But even so their defense can still be said to be quite good compared to other teams. One factual fact about Italian clubs is that they are not known to be big spenders in signing players and that's why they've never won the Champions League since the last time Inter Milan won it over a decade ago.
For my club to be successful right now in Europe, they must be ready to sign expensive and quality footballers and equip their team which something that's not common with Italian clubs. Juventus really need to to strengthen their squad especially club's defense after their poor outing last season but are yet to make a major signing this summer

At a time when juventus are in a slump this season coupled with the resignation of members of the juventus board but massimiliano allegri is still holding on and that's what i like about him. I think the new Juventus Council really trusts Allegri to bring Juventus back strong in Serie A after they closed the season ranked 7th this season.

Yes some obstacles also befall them and we won't blame juventus players because they have tried quite well this season.
