I don't believe that Luka Modric's career can end uncelebrated anymore, the guy is a well-decorated player that many will always pray to attain his achievements. At 37, the guy is a go for the money if he's wise just like his colleagues in the industry, I wonder what he could still do in the next 2-3 years when he would have clocked 40 years of age. For me, building your retirement should be for players at such an age and it should go to the highest bidder.

Also, contrary to what you said, it's actually working for Saudi Arabia, there is a revolution going on everywhere, must it be other countries/leagues alone? It is never a good idea to compare players with each other when they are totally different types of players and even in general you have to look at the age individually. Players with outstanding performances at age 37 are, well you can guess it, outstanding. Modric, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, all those players have had different physical conditions than some players who retire at the age of 33. I doubt that Lukaku will still be a top scorer in European leagues in 7 years from now. I can't be sure, but I doubt it. For now extending the contract makes sense.

Don't say a player is not looking at the money or must play in Europe, it's all about your choice, and mind you, some people choose poorly whether you like it or not, but it's their choice. And this still doesn't mean he would not get the offer next year as he only extended his contract by a year with Real Madrid, why not more if he so sees this the way you narrated?

Well he is that type of player, but if he gets in that form he will be unstopable. I think he will stay at Inter. Only one who could make peak Lukaku is Pinturis but he is now in Real.

For now, Inter's attack line is quite guaranteed with the arrival of Marcus Thuram, it's just that the midfield and defense still need to regenerate new players for next season. Especially the rumors that goalkeeper Andre Onana will leave Inter if he agrees to join Manchester United will add even harder work for Inter.

I think Inter's progress for next season will be quite difficult if it doesn't immediately add young players who have good stamina to compete competitively with other strong Serie A teams. We know there are a lot of veteran players over 33 years who are still at Inter and it will be quite troublesome if they are not so consistent over the next season.

Inter made a ton of money last year with being cup winner if I am not wrong, ucl finals runner-up, and being in the top four of the league. When you combine all those together with the extra tickets being sold, and the extra merchandise being sold, and the money you make from winning those and tv rights and all that, the combined money they made is huge.

I criticized them heavily after they sold Lukaku after a great season but that didn't mean that it stopped them, they did very well anyway and I think they are doing a good job, Lukaku is back again as well but he is not really the way he used to be after the injury. Long story short they will have all the financial needs covered and will be able to make a profit when the time comes but first they will build a better squad too.
