Max Kruse canceled his move to Werder today. He informed Baumann, the manager of the club, that he decided to move to another club.

However, he is looking for a club in the Bundesliga and there were other clubs in discussion like Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Well, that's fair.
He tries to find a bigger step for his career and go forward.
I haven't heard though rumors that Schalke and Eintract wanting him at their teams. Maybe it is just his desire to join those clubs or clubs that are on the same level with S04 and EF.

Is it better to play Bayern in first round or later on, maybe even during Oktoberfest ? I would always choose to play them in the beginning of a season, where they are still more vulnerable and have to find their rhythm. You can only "win" at Bayern, because nobody expects you to get any points there. Playing a freshly promoted team is way worse imo (more to lose, unknown team, normally super motivated).

Well it is true, better losing 3 points at the beginning than later and especially vs fresh team. Just thought about the psychological factor of successive defeats for Schalke...

I agree its better to lose points at the start of the League against Bayern Munich as of the end of the season.

I don't think there will be one this year; my comment was more a general one, since Bayern is always super strong during these times. Otoh if concerts from Sarah Connor are possible during these times, you never know

For sure the favorite is Bayern but maybe we will see a new refreshed Schalke team in the coming season.
I would be not surprised if they will be playing better after the last season , hopefully they do.

No way Schalke will end their streak without a win against Bayern and after Bayerns match against Chelsea yesterday, I don't see them getting any problems with Schalke.

For Schalke this season will depend very much on how they can reinforce themselves on the transfer market imho. If McKennie get sold they will at least have some room to play with financially. They definitely still need someone who know how to score.

If a few players get injured, which of course nobody wants , all is possible for the start in the new League.

@Lafu Bayern Munich looks unstoppable to me and I’m sincerely hoping that we see them play against PSG or Manchester City soon, because only these two teams can offer some resistance to Bayern.

Furthermore I don’t think that Barcelona have any chance to stop Bayern from winning against them, because this season Bayern has showed that they can defeat anyone in their path, and in my personal opinion they have almost sealed the champions league trophy for themselves.

Never say never , if Barcelona have a good day it would be hard to win abaout them !
For sure in the Campion League i am with Bayern Munich and hope they will win that game on Friday.

I will admit it to my shame I completely overlooked Rakitic while I was writing the post and now I'm wondering how did that happen... Most likely because I got tired of all the Barca drama recently and how he was treated so I blocked it to live longer and save my nerves

By the way congrats to Leipzig that they are now in the next round of the Campion League and have won yesterday.
And at the moment Bayern Munich is 7 goals in front against Barcelona that have 2 goals for now at the 88 Minute.
Damn i have expect that they will win but that they shot so much goals , wow !

Possible we will see a German final !
