This shows why Dortmund could not beat Bayern Munich in the last 11 years. They sold most of their best players to Bayern Munich and we see the reasons. Selling best players already reduce their squad power but selling those players directly to their direct competitor is worse. Well, this is a good observation but it doesn't seem to me as it looks and these transfers are to and from of the two clubs, so it's normal with football. Aside from the fact that clubs' targets are not only about winning, money making is also a good consideration, clubs' speculation could either work or not. And those players that were much younger and not performing well or those that were not performing to expectations might suddenly become a golden booth elsewhere after their transfers. So this is not new and can't be the sole reason Bayern wins Dortmund often even as both are keenly contesting each season. Transfer regrets often happen in clubs.

I agree that Dortmund must change their transfer attitude and keep their key players, to get the title and make fans happy. Moreover, when they win the UCL I think they will not only win the title, but also have money because maybe they will get a big sponsor. Instead of developing players and then on the table they sell them. That's right, it's not a good attitude because if they can keep players for several seasons maybe the selling price will also be high, and they can earn more money later.

Dortmund's habit of spotting out talents, grooming and selling them to other clubs will leave them with no silverware. The thing that i don't like from this league is the rich club was always buying the player from the potential club. The case that happened with lewandowski, and recently raphael guerreiro was making me feel so bad with this league. Since bayern knew that if dortmund was the only strongest competitor for its club and it was making bayern just need to buy any good players from dortmund to destroy it. This strategy has been used by bayern to make sure if dortmund will not able to build a capable squad to win bundesliga next season. That's why i really wanna see the new rule that will be preventing the domination between a club to the another club. Well it is pretty easy to say "change your attitude" but in reality i think it is very very hard for Dortmund to close the gap to Bayern Munich or to even overtake them. The sad truth is that Dortmund is very far away from Bayern Munich both in terms of financials and also in terms of International standing and prestige. Dortmund is not considered a top ten club in the world that is the reason why they can not get the very best players. They buy young and promising ones most of the time. If those are doing very well then they will leave the BVB again for a better club.

I think it is not money or achievement, because you can sell your players for a lot of money and get better or at least younger players that can be better in the end. Like let's say you sell a player at 23, for 100 million, and get a guy at 18, who will worth even more at 23, which they have done so far. They used their money to get those players, Jude wasn't born at Dortmund and was a player of them, he was a Birmingham player, Haaland came from Salzburg, but even outside of redbull teams, he was at "molde", some Norwegian team, or Sancho was at City u18 before he went to Dortmund.

When you see these, you understand where the money goes to, they won't hit it %100 all the time, but they do spend the money on younger kids that will be great in the future that they can sell.

Even without Robert Lewandowski and Manuel Neuer, I believe Bayern Munich is still a very strong team and probably stronger than the others in the Bundesliga. So I do not think that they should be struggling. Especially because they have so much money that they can already fill up that void.

In the last season, the team which have the potential to beat them was Dortmund and Dortmund also came really close. I wonder if that is going to happen any time soon. I am not sure if this season is  a good example to talk about Bayern Munich's strength This season was actually quite a catastrophe and Dortmund lost the title and Bayern was luck enough that Dortmund finished the season in such a stupid way.

But anyway, Lewandowski was one player that they missed, but then again they still made some good money with the transfer and Lewandowski said that he wanted to leave at all cost. But they should have invested more money in a new striker instead of risking the whole season with Choupo-Moting- He isn't bad, but Bayern needs a world class striker and he isn't world class.

With all the things going on in the club I am now curious whether they bring in some new stars. The last season should have been a lesson.

It is undeniable that a club's finances can be a determining factor that they will achieve great success if they are good at using what they have. Manchester City is a clear example when they can make good use of their financial stability.

But again, in terms of what is their top priority, because I'm sure Borussia Dortmund also want to achieve something they can be proud of apart from being known as a club that can create great players, but that interest is still inferior to the benefits they see and want to get , thus making them still under Bayern Munich to date.
If they can put aside their profit interests even a little bit, I really believe they will be on par with Bayern Munich or even more, because they are well capitalized with their potential.
