So, you called the wolf to ask the wolf to go get the wolf to tell the wolf you want your money back even though you publicly just told the wolf that you've given up all hope of getting your money back from the wolf. This is fuckin' genius! I'm surprised nobody else thought about this wonderful plan.

Question: When's your eBook coming out detailing this plan so that you can make bank off the sharing of this revelation?

Well less of a hope and more of a lets see what they say... and they said we have nothing to do with cryptsy... lol

Selling all the remaining crypto and letting the users get the crappy coins worth nothing then.

MaN this is so illegal.

Can block chain tech hold up in court?

Will the police actually go looking for these people of they will not be too bothered as its crypto?

To peel or not to peel.

No idea if these blockchain forensics will have validity facing a trial, but I have learnt that you cannot trust anybody with your coins. Everyone is trying to scam you. Even a trustful exchange can scam you at any time, or they can be hacked and lose everything. This is like the Wild West, but at least there there wasn't impunity and bounty hunters made their job. Here it does not work.

I have 2 crazy theories about Cryptsy and Bitebi9:

1/ Cryptsy is trading with the Doge and Dash that could not be withdrawn in a while to make BTC after the "event" and pay off all btc holders.

2/Bitebi is going to scam its users and pay off Cryptsy users with such money.

Someone moved 5k from what appears to be a Cryptsy wallet for Dash, 5 days ago:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/address.dws?XxpMtTNa1RFuSya99A427mTKayGjYQys1v.htm

This is a wallet that received 200k of the 456k stolen Dash

It makes sense it is a Cryptsy cold wallet, since they stopped moving funds in late September until 5 days ago. In Late September people started to have problems withdrawing Dash (not working at all). Maybe they wanted to hold some valuable coins that were not stolen because they predicted their bankruptcy eventually by the end of 2015.

So I am correct in assuming I will never see my 430K worth of Dogecoins ever again. Thieving little pricks. I see in the last day or so the price has started to seriously dip again on them. Perhaps someone selling a lot of them off.

Yeah maybe you could get a better price buying them back directly from BV then off another exchange.

OK there is more bad news on this Cryptsy - Hack subject

It appears that information provided for verification - users private info has been also leaked, I am not going to go into too muych details right now, however certain information that was only provided to Cryptsy has been used by someone elsewhere.

I have reported this to the authorities and they are investigating.

I would advise anyone that gave information to Cryptsy for verification on the various Tier levels to check that this information has not been used by someone else to obtain CC, Goods or access to other sites/exchanges.

This apperantly started happening from the 20th last week.

How do you know this?

I'm fairly sure I mentioned that Cryptsy's database has been hacked/sold...

2) Craptsy's database has been hacked (evidenced by the phishing emails and failed login attempts)

As evidenced by phishing, and failed login attempts... Their database has already been hacked/sold

I used a unique login/password on Craptsy, but if you did not... CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS

I just purchased this account. I'm not that scammy ass guy from Lithuania. Seriously, that's not me.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Further, from what I can glean, those who penned that that Lithuanian dude was a scammer ALL turned out to be scammers, hence their pennings to get back at that Lithuanian dude by labeling him a scammer.

I promise to be more careful next time I purchase any user accounts of this forum. Speaking of, you guys know if the Cyberpinoy user account is worth purchasing? He seems trustworthy enough and all.  Grin

Question: If your business was breached, do you or do you not get your security team to help investigate a theft of millions of dollars worth of whatever? Or, do you sit at your desk for the next 18 months cupping your balls trying to figure out who to contact to report the crime with hopes of tracking down the stolen shit while the trail gets colder each passing minute?

I've never given an exchange personal info, once they ask they are off the list. I have serious passwords for serious accounts. basically tier them, the higher the tier the higher the complexity and or reuse. Shit exchanges get shit passwords and never a sat left on them. Well they can have the dust. Wink

Not to mention (well guess I am), all those listed above I knew were tanking at least a few months in advance. It's not tea leave reading to see this shit coming. People that lost coins on those exchanges all have something in common and it overrode their own common sense.
