^^ ^ Both had 3 setter matches and were given tough enough ones at that. The favourite is Alcaraz...but we can never underestimate Nadal's ability to "find a way" which of course wont last forever.
Odds on Rollbit are Nadal 1.97 - Alcaraz 1.81
I think I will go with Alcaraz, his drop shot plays for example could make the difference?
Yeah, seems that Alcaraz is the favorite against Nadal, what a turn of events. He already developed so much since their last match at Indian Wells if I'm not mistaken. But as you have said, Nadal even Alcaraz admitted it, has always find a way to win even if the chances are very slim. But if Alcaraz wins in 2 sets here, I think we might say that it is really there is a shift, and it's Alcaraz time.

So this will to me probobly be a match in 3 sets but we will see if Alcaraz can win against an experienced Nadal

Maybe it might come to a surprised that Alcaraz is the favorite. But with Nadal recent match against Goffin, he seems to be out of the line so to speak. Needed another set in order to win, while Alcaraz played very well against Norrie although it is also a 3 set win.

He will be psyched to take down Nadal and as you said Nadal is coming off the injury and he was quite shaky against Goffin. I watched Hurkasz a lot this week and he is playing very solid game copled with some great serving. I am thinking Djoković will have big problems today if gets out just a bit off and I did not see his top game yet after return to competitive tennis. I am taking Hurkasz to take at least one set.

I'd really like to see Alcaraz vs a fully-fit Nadal, that would be some match ... and I'd definitely have Nadal as favourite for it. But as everyone is saying, Nadal is not fully-fit yet, and is slowly making a comeback. Alcaraz should probably be favourite, but even so I don't think it will be easy for him. Nadal can never be written off, as we saw in the AO only a few months ago.

Now another big challenge for Alcaraz, he will be up against Novak Djokovic. So this is going to be another interesting match to witness. If Alcaraz continue with his magical run, his chances of winning this tournament increases. We will wait then for the next semifinalist, between Rublev and Tsitsipas, FAA vs Zverev.

I was forcing Alcaraz all the time in this tournament and wanted to do the same all the way to the trophy but that foot injury has me worried. He moved poorly in second set and then started playing good in third again and that was while the injury did not have time to cool down. Could make him some problems today and if you are not on your 100% Djoković is the worst possible opponent. Really disappointed I have to skip this one.

That is unfortunate that he has an ankle niggle, he or anyone really needs to turn up with an A Game to Djokovic. If it starts troubling him more today he should pull out so even betting on Alcaraz with a handicap is risky, as Trofo its best to skip this one.
Second semi final, Tsitsipas v Zverev, thats a tough one to call too eventhough Tsitsipas is the favourite, maybe a conservative handicap bet on Zverev +4.5 @1.36...

That was exactly my reasoning before their last match in Monte Carlo. They always had close matches and over felt like a free money but then Tsitisipas destroyed him 6:4 6:2. I feel like Tsitispas now has the edge over Zverev, especially on clay. Their H2h is also 7:3 for Tsitisi side and he won all 3 encounters on clay. This one is simple ML for Tsitipas @1.65 for me.

Alcaraz is already showing that he will be a great player, and that he could even surpass the achievements of his role model Nadal. I read somewhere that he achieved more than Nadal when Nadal was his age. All that matters is that he is bypassed by injuries and that he remains psychologically strong and stable. With him, Medvedev, Zverev and other young tennis stars, it will be increasingly difficult for Nadal and Djokovic to win major tennis tournaments.

is this a tournament that shows change on the top Alcaraz kicked Nadal, now Djokovic, and he could see himself on top, really fast
both matches were tight, third set tie-break against Djokovic, mental strength is there, and Djokovic was not bad today
Tsitsi and Zverev, will be interesting, and who would see Alcaraz in the final, but seems that Alcaraz is going to win this one

It was really close game, but in the end, it was still Alcaraz with a very difficult win. So another final appearance for this kid. He held his nerve against one of the best in breaking you down mentally but he succeeded. Tsitsi and Zverev, will be interesting, and who would see Alcaraz in the final, but seems that Alcaraz is going to win this one
The Tsitsi and Zverev match will start in just a couple of minutes. This could be another 3 set game and I reckon Tsitsi will win.

I didnt see any slow movement for him so i dont think the foot injury was serious at all. But he played an amazing tennis and will be no1 for sure in the future. Also Novak Djokovic had a chance in the second set and missed some clear shots that costed him the win

It is nice to see that Alcaraz has beaten both Nadal and Djokovic but I think it is too soon to say that there will be a change at the top. Roland Garros will start in a little bit more than 1 week and for me Nadal is still the top favorite to win another title. There a lot of (young) players coming up strongly but we will need to see how they will perform in the grandslams, because after all, that are the tournaments that really matter.

A few things I noticed from the match, Alcaraz seems to have more versatility in his game than Djokovic and is a harder hitter too. His winning points also seemed to be more - Spectacular. He should win today against Zverev. One of the commentators on Amazon Prime last night said the fact that the game was played so late and the air temperature was so much lower than the daytime Zverev had more time between shots, the late game suited him more than Tsitsipas who had way too many unforced errors. Its Alcaraz for me today.

^^ I also also on Alcaraz bandwagon to win the Madrid Open. I didn't see the effect of the injury he suffered on the Nadal match. Maybe he is nursing it or something, but his body is still young that he was able to play even with him not feeling comfortable. No offense to Zverev, but this match might end in just 2 sets win for Alcaraz.

is this a tournament that shows change on the top Alcaraz kicked Nadal, now Djokovic, and he could see himself on top, really fast
both matches were tight, third set tie-break against Djokovic, mental strength is there, and Djokovic was not bad today
Tsitsi and Zverev, will be interesting, and who would see Alcaraz in the final, but seems that Alcaraz is going to win this one
You are right, GS are the most important tournaments for all tennis players. Other tennis tournaments are easier to win because they are played on two won sets and there is much less pressure. It is much harder to win a GS tournament because the competition is much bigger, matches last longer, it takes a lot more physical strength and psychological stability, and the pressure from the public and the media is huge. Alcaraz is certainly the future of tennis and will win a lot of GS tournaments but I don’t think he will win any GS this year. I think it's too early for him.

Alcaraz has a lot of it going his way but I expect Zverev to be his toughest opponent yet. Alcaraz had 50 forehand winners against Djoković yesterday which is unbelievable but Zverev will not give him the opportunity. He will look to dictate points as well. They already played twice and Zverev won both matches easy, granted it was a year ago and on different surface and Alcaraz came a long way since then, but that result will be somewhere in their minds anyway. If this match was played on any other clay court I would say Alcaraz, but this is Madrid, very high attitude which suits Zverev perfectly. He has 2 titles here in the last 3 years Madrid was played. Says enough for player who is not clay specialists. I am thinking of handicap on Zverev or skipping the match. Really though to call this one.
