Not sure about Cilic as well, hmm, I'm thinking Medvedev or a healthy Zverev can give Djokovic a problem? Djokovic competitive spirit though might have woken again seeing Nadal raising the GS trophy one more time. He will get back for sure and wanted a GS this year.
Čilić actually has the game which suits grass surface best and he could go far this year. Djoković is a big favourite with all those top players missing out. Nadal is currently undergoing some special treatment for the foot and he hopes to be ready in time but he said he will not play if he had to take same numbing drugs as in RG. Zverev is out for sure and I don't think Wimbledon will buckle up and ler Russians play. Cilic is a possibility and he does indeed have a good grass game. But I think his results flatter him a little this year, he has progressed quite far in the big tournaments, but generally this has been because he's made the most of a favourable draw. I don't think he's as good as he used to be, and winning Wimbledon may be beyond him - unless of course the draw really opens up and gives him an easy route. I agree that Wimbledon won't back down, and Medvedev won't play. No-one has really mentioned Alcaraz, I think he remains a possibility. He has pulled out of Queen's this morning, but is expected to be fit for Wimbledon.

I agree about Cilic, he has a good enough run this year, mostly at Roland Garros but there is always the question about whether he can continue. Realistically as the tournament progresses the opposition gets tougher and then Cilic's ability, fitness etc are questioned even more. Alcaraz hasnt been mentioned is right, is it that we see him like Nadal as a clay/hard court specialist but yea with the reduced top tier opposition he could have a chance...

Zverev is out for sure and I don't think Wimbledon will buckle up and ler Russians play.
Is there anywhere I can bet on Medvedev winning it? The odds on that should be huge now and I still feel that they will eventually allow them to play. If they do - Medvedev would be one of the favorites for sure. But the odds at that point wouldn't really be high. Wherever I looked - Medvedev isn't an option to bet. Which is logical of course, but I am for sure not the only one looking to gamble on this with bigger risk at higher odds? Anyway - if someone finds it, please let me know. Yeah, that's why I mentioned Medvedev, but if he is not allowed to play then there's not much we can do. All I can see is the outright for him at the US Open, he is the second favorite to win behind Djokovic, Alcaraz is the 3rd. But then again, with the whole war looming behind and sports now being involved, we will have to see if Medvedev will play or not, hopefully though he will.

The ATP tournament is currently taking place in Stuttgart, Germany. Andy Murray is playing there. The former two-time winner of the Wimbledon tournament is now in the quarter-finals. For him and the other players it is a preparation for the tournament in Wimbledon. Stefanos Tsitsipas is the number 1 in this tournament. He is currently playing against Dominic Stricker and the game is interrupted due to rain.

I havent been following much tennis this week, just looking at the draws for the quarter finals in Stuttgart I see Tsitsipas will play Murray, Fucsovics will play Kyrgios, Bonzi will play Otte and Sonego will play Berrettini. Interestingly Tsitsipas seeded 1 and Berrettini ceeded 2 are on opposite sides of the draw and could meet in the final again. Berrettini has another two weeks to get into shape for Wimbledon, maybe he too is eying up his chances at finishing far in Wimbledon?
Just looking in on the Hertogenbosch tournament the quarter finals there have some usual suspects, Medvedev v Ivashka, Mannarino v Nakashima, Gaston v Van Rijthoven and Khachanov v Felix AA and again Medvedev seeded 1 and Felix AA seeded 2 are on opposite sides of the draw, thats interesting too.

Tsitsipas tomorrow will play against Murray. For sure it's a good match to follow we will see good tennis. I think that Murray could be easily defeated by the greek player...but generally speaking I think this is the kind of match that could provide some surprise and hard to be guessed. (maybe it will be decided in 3 sets?) What is your opinion for that match?

Tsitsipas is the big favorite to win it, but maybe Murray can indeed take away one set. We will never see the old Murray again, his movements on the court are limited to his injuries, but it is still quite early in the tournament, so I can see Murray winning 1 set.

On the other hand though Tsitsipas will have learned a lot from that game and will for sure be wary of Murray's abilities eventhough he has lesser speed and agility he still posses his shot making skills. Should be interesting.

My bet is on Murray +4.5 for that added bit of security. Now I just hope he will serve first Should be nice match to watch and I plan on doing just that. These are two players that will get us many betting opportunities in grass season so always good to actually see them play.

Yes, Tsitsipas is more of a clay court specialist that's why in the first half of the year, he really plays very good. So it might be good to bet on the handicap for Murray here. Maybe he will still have some in his gas tank to surprised us all if he pull a upset. The odd for Andy ML is 2.22, very attractive for those who love to bet on the underdog. Fucsovics vs Krygios could also be a entertaining match. I'm taking Nick -2.5 handicap.

I have enough in my wallet to have one more bet before I load it up again so I'm going with Medvedev to beat Ivashka @ 1.2, I think/hope thats safer. I would love to see Murray beating Tsitsipas, he deserves it and deserves to get into the finals of this and other tournaments.

The match between Tsitsipas and Murray is about to start in about 20 minutes. Before that game Bonzi should play against Otte. But we have a "walkover" there. Bonzi could not play because of stomach pain. So Otte got into the semi-final without a fight. There he will meet Sonego or Berrettini. This is the second time Otte has reached a semi-final at the ATP-Tour.

And thats something I rarely do, is bet on the underdog. Going on Murray with a +4.5 is 1.25 odds as per Trofo. I think the +4.5 is a safe bet for Murray, but the odds are not that very attractive. But if it's a sure win, then why not? I'm not going to load up on this tournament though, not that I don't like it. But currently I have to replenish first my wallet with crypto. But maybe, once we reach the finals and depending who is going to face each other, maybe I will put some bets. But best of luck to you guys.

Hope some of you cashed in on that my prediction. Handicap passed super easy and even ML was not really in doubt at any point. I love beginnings of grass season, so many opportunities to play against people not used to that surface. There will be shitload of players who don't know how to stand on grass in Wimbledon qualification and first rounds. Gotta hone my skills before that.

One thing we do need to be aware of with Murray specifically though, is his difficulty in progressing deep in big tournaments. A one-off match when he's rested, and particularly on grass, he can still beat almost anyone... the difficulty comes in his body not being able to recover between matches. At Wimbledon he might come up with one or even two great wins, but he's unlikely to progress deep into the tournament.

Now when you wrote that I am accepting your argument that he has difficulty recovering between matches but not your conclusion. Grand Slams are special in a way that you get a day of rest in between matches. Shouldn't that work marvelously for him? Add to that a fact that he is British, whole country will cheer for him and organizers always have soft spot for home players. He will have basically perfect match timings and a day of rest. This is his best chance to win something big with all the big names missing. This could be his tournament IMHO, not so many players I would bet on against him on grass in Wimbeldon draw.

The day off between matches will work in his favour, but the fact that slams are best of five sets will work against him. I'd suggest that if he wins a dramatic and lengthy five-set match against a tough seed on say a Wednesday, the chances of him being fully recovered and ready to repeat again in the next round by the Friday are very low. And the chances of him winning seven best-of-five-set matches in two weeks, which is what it takes to win a slam, is extremely low. IMHO the only way he could win Wimbledon is if every match is easy and he wins them all quickly... but this doesn't seem that likely. There are some tough grass players out there, and it's difficult to break serve on grass, which can make matches longer. I should add that I'm from the UK, and desperately want Murray to win... but can't see it happening.

It was indeed hard to predict and even the outcome was surprising, murray managed to win 2 0 but it was not an easy match the first set was tight it ended in the tie break but in the second one it was a domination from murray he won his serves easily and managed to break in one of tsitsipas serves, i think he or kyrgios will most likely win this tournament.

We have a privilege of seeing how his previous matches went before betting on next one. If he has two 5 setters in a row I am skipping him for next match 100%. I still think that one day of rest means more than possibility of 5 sets. Especially if he manages to keep matches short.

I missed out of this one, yeah, been following Tsitsipas for a while now and i know that he is more on a clay surface player. Not sure why I didn't look for this match because I could have put handicap or ML on Murray. So it will be Kyrgios vs Murray next on semifinals. For sentimental reasons, I might go and put a medium bet on Murray to win against Nick.
