Since the site quoted by Atlas is down:
http://web.archive.org/web/20110630101150/http://astrohacker.com/ahc/bitcoin-is-the-economic-singularity/

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Every time this thread reawakens, it seems to be a good sign that a short-term rally has topped.

Quoted for wisdom.

This!

One hour after I seen this....  again....  we went from 19 to 16

Damn, this thread is like running away from a black cat by stepping under a ladder while breaking a mirror.

I'd like to petition the mods to lock it permanently Smiley

Clever mix of bad luck, but...

Damn, this thread is like running away from a black cat by stepping under a ladder while breaking a mirror.

Which of these two options would you choose to believe?

1) The current rally took off when BTC broke out of the $13 dollar range. A short-term low of $13.90 was recorded on Jan 13th, 2013. This sad combination of triple/quad 13's means the rally is doomed and we will see BTC fall below $10 later this year.

2) The BTC fundamentals are strong enough to power a move back above $19 and possibly much higher in the near future.

#1 or #2, which one deserves the power of belief, or which one is your lucky number?   Cheesy

Her vocals and expressions are pretty good, plus the lyrics match the question/answers really well.

While I share the belief that bitcoin or something very like it will play a major role in the future, I think the road there is going to be a lot rougher.

I imagine we will see a huge boom then a bust, after that those who stick around will build the meaning full economy that will allow bitcoin or its successor to dominate.

I don't care about the busts. I am riding this pig wherever it takes me. If it tanks, I'll have a helluva story to tell. I'm sick of half measures. I'm swinging for the fences and If I strike out, so be it.  I won't be some mediocre drone living a life of quiet desperation. I believe in bitcoin and I'm going for broke, knowing the risks.

Indeed.

From the date I guess he got what he was going for.

I agree, Bitcoin has so much potential its ridiculous. As soon as the cartels, catch on to Bitcoin it will add 100's of millions into the Bitcoin economy. Think about it, Columbia cocaine producers get a payment of bitcoins from mexico, no need to try and smuggle money through mexico into columbia.

Does this mean the new rally already ended before it started, or is this warning signal obsolete now?

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

This thread is all hype. I to, wish and pray that Bitcoin may one day reach 10,000$ a coin, but lets be realistic. It can as easily fail from another superior cryptography as much as it may succeed.
