Some capable enterpreneurial artist needs to make t-shirts with a discrete pocket Bitcoin logo circled by the words "New Wealthy Elite".  I'd buy one.

Your wish is my command Wink.  Not sure if I'm capable, but people do buy some of my designs.

I'm currently working on another project right now, but if you'd like the design on another product that Zazzle sells, send me a PM and I'll put it on there.  My version of the Bitcoin logo by itself is on quite a few of Zazzle's products, but if you'd like it on something that I didn't put it on, you can send me a PM for that too.

Smiley Thank you very much, have ordered!

I am the new wealthy elite, yay!

I have ~0.02 btc, so I do belong to the golden billion already (21 000 000 btc / 1 billion people = 0.021 btc, not far from what I have).

Hopefully I'll have much more bitcoins if people find my free PHP services useful Smiley

I'm a bit pissed off that I offloaded all my bitcoins in 2011 because I lost interest. I would have been very rich now if I just had the balls to hold them.
I'm a bit pissed off that I ran a CPU miner for a few hours in 2009 and turned it off because I didn't find a block right away and never tried again.

It's almost two years later and I stand by everything I said, with two exceptions:

1) There can be more than one cryptocurrecy if they use different proof-of-work. This is one of the points unk was trying to make. He was right, I was wrong. This is why I did not foresee the rise of litecoin. However, for psychological reasons I believe bitcoin will always be the gold to litecoin's silver.

2) Speculating on bitcoin because you believe the price will rise does produce wealth, and does not merely represent a wealth transfer, for the reasons Terpie was arguing - it signals that others ought to take a look. They benefit from this because bitcoin actually is the future of money.

As I admire some of your passions that you guys have for Bitcoin, investing everyone dollar you own/make into Bitcoin could leave you in a very bad financial situation.  If I can pressure you to not do this because I already pay enough taxes and I'm sick of paying for Welfare cell phones for undeserving fucks!

Do a percentage of your income.  You could relate this percentage to what you would spend at a bar, or would you normally invest in your 401k or into stocks.   That money isn't really needed to keep you alive right now.

http://astrohacker.com/ahc/bitcoin-is-the-economic-singularity/

After reading this, the scale of black market and digital economies and the effect Bitcoin will have on them I am pretty certain we are going to be very wealthy men -- even with a sum as small as 10 Bitcoins. It's just so hard to believe. We are only in the beginning storms with these significant rallies from 10 to 20 dollars. I will not be surprised to see prices from hundreds to thousands in the coming months.

The world just isn't going to be the same and we have been blessed as the pioneers.

What are you going to do with your Bitcoin wealth once your coins hit upwards of $10,000 a pop?

Now that is one person that knows how to make predictions.

Thank you for the orders, I hope you like them :-).  Sales (from my other stores) had been a little slow this month, compared to earlier in the year, so you guys made my day.  I only opened up that shop last month, and those were the first sales from there.

Is it true that if you say Atlas's name three times in a row he will appear out of the ether?

Atlas, Atlas, A... I'm scared.

You first.

I'm afraid the consequences will never be the same if someone summons him... Shocked

so when are we gonna hit 10k/coin, as OP suggested.

four years and seven months. Certain events have to take place first. Enjoy the next four years the whole world will burn in economic collapse and then will rise like a phoenix on PM then eventually, Bitcoin.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

How much do you think that would be the amount of BTC that you should at least to hold in order to be member of this new elite in the near future? How many Bitcoins it takes to get into 1% of Bitcoiners. 100? 210? 2100?

the growth will only be fueled by the adoption of bitcoin and businesses being opened with bitcoin, so with this said, it is a community effort to get everyone involved and be a part of the economy. We need more businesses and less speculators.
