Good news from David 08/07/2016

IOTA is ever-evolving technology. On the 11th, not the 19th, the MAINNET launch is. This is the date that represents the finalization of the IOTA software as promised by us who held the crowdsale, but IOTA is much bigger than just the basics. IOTA will continue to evolve in conjunction with the ecosystem.

Open-source projects are perpetually in a 'beta-phase' in many ways. But the official first snapshot and mainnet launch is on Monday. Then on the 19th Exchanges will be allowed to start trading.

All of this will be made clear in blogposts and roadmap that will be published soon.

Any ETA on when manual claimed tokens will be sent to the wallets now that the network is live? I sent David the information a while back and don't want to inundate his message box but want to be sure all is going as planned regarding them. (Yes, I should have done the automatic claim, now I am a pariah.  Tongue)

Yes. I will continue that on Monday and forward to save CFB as much manual work as possible to have to include everything into the final snapshot before release.

The reason I haven't answered PMs either here on the forum or on the chat is simply to not forget anyone. When I don't open the PM it stays highlighted, so I don't want to muddle it by opening it when I know what course of action I will take anyway.

I am facing a problem and need support.

A few days ago, I generated three IOTA addresses using my chosen passphrase. I used iota-0.9.23-b to do it. I logged into using my passphrase several times and everytime I could saw my three generated addresses. Today, I upgraded to iota-0.9.26-gamma but the adresses in my history are gone. I thought, a once created address will belong to the passphrase forever. Is this assumption false?

The passphrase I used was definetely the same in 0.9.23 and 0.9.26 version.

update: by creating a new address it is shown me "IllegalArgument: Bound must be positive" exception.

You are not in synch.
You need to get new neighbors and try again... after it synchs it should come back.

Go to ROCKETCHAT IOTA TESTING and trouble shoot there!

Thanks, where can I see whether my wallet is fully synced or not? I have one neighbor at the moment.

You likely need at least 3 neighbors. Gather more IPs at ROCKETCHAT and see if the slave nodes (7 of them) are still functioning.
You can see if you are in synch by looking at your tangle height (similar to block height) and comparing to other neighbors.

I'm not currently on so I can't tell you where we are at! Need to ask in IOTACHAT!
