Big 3rq quarter by the miami Heat, I can't believe they limited the Celtics by just 14 points while they scored 39 points. That was the turning point of the game, that big run made them win the game. But is the series over? not yet, it's still one game, and Smart and Horford were out in that game.

Definitely it's not over, just one game but the Heat shows a lot of heart in the 3rd while the Celtics has no responds. Butler again shows how good he is playing the leader role. He embraces it and then guard Tatum throughout.

So we will see how the Celtics is going to responds. Yeah, Smart and Horford were out of the game so that is a big plus for the Heat. So we will wait till the 2 played and then it's going to be a dog fight.

They always respond but I'm not thinking of betting on them in game 2, I will take them in game 3 as they are good at their home court. Celtics is surely better than the 76ers, so they have a good chance of wining although Heat already took the first game.

Wow what happened to Jayson Tatum last night after the second half. 22 points in the first half then essentially disappearing after that. Jimmy Butler looks determined to make this series his. As a Chicago Bulls fan and someone who watched Jimmy grow in to the type of player he is today, was one heck of a performance to set the tone for the series!

He has some history in the Bucks series that Jason Tatum struggles with, he is not as consistent as Butler but he is indeed a great player. Well, Heat won but they are playing against an undermanned team, so I would not give full praise to that win. Let's see in game 2 if the Heat could repeat the same.

We are finally starting the conference finals tonight. If somehow Mavs end up beating Warriors, we are finally going to see a brand new team becoming champions. Obviously Celtics has a ton of rings, but they haven't won one in over a decade, so it should be new for the era we are in right now, Heat managed to get to finals, but ended up losing to Lakers during bubble period, and Mavs last won one with Dirk, so that was a long time ago as well, about a decade so far right?

This is why this finals will be very entertaining to me if Warriors end up losing, I love them and all, but I would like to see someone new end up winning the title.

Indeed, Boston Celtics have acquired numerous championship rings already even before the time of Kevin Garnett and I think they are the holder of longest championship streak in history at the time of Bill Russell. While the Mavericks have some numerous appearance on the NBA Finals but they have acquired only 1 ring with Dirk throughout the whole history of NBA, that was 2011. So, yes it's already over a decade.

Both teams that are stated above are still capable to appear once again in the NBA Finals this season but they have to defeat the Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors, respectively.

For the match today, it's about to start now, Miami's advantage in the first game is that it will be in their home court so let's see how the Celtics will show up tonight.

Against Boston Celtics, homecourt will never be an advantage. It will all go down on both teams' performance.

It will be different. Marcus Smart is the defensive player of the year and Al Horford had been a contributor in their offense.
But, I don't think they can still defeat the Miami Heat. If it will be a different outcome for the Celtics then it will be the same for the opposing team. They will play better and so does the Celtics. Maybe a close game will happen but in the end the Heat will still win it. That 2nd half was phenomenal and I don't think it's easy to stop.

I am sure that the injury is not as big of a threat as people think. But at the same time, Heat is a much better team than Celtics right now, because at the same time we are talking about something factual, they are just a better "team".

This means, Celtics needs to rely on their stars, sure if Tatum or Smart or Brown plays amazing then there is no question that they will get this series, but if not then as a whole team then I believe Heat is much better as a team. This is not going to be an easy series, we are not going to end up with something much bigger and better for the end of the deal. This is why I am fearing to wager on any game.

He probably got tired from doing almost everything from defending to scoring in the first half. They do not have Smart and Horford so he'll have to put extra effort. It's hard to keep such pace and aggressiveness for the whole game. His turnovers in the third quarter probably disrupted his rhythmn too.

He was really put into sleep by Jimmy Butler's defense, and then in turn Butler is abusing him on the offense. So it's a combination, and as you can see after Butler block his shot in the corner, his body languages changes. Although they try to make a rally in the fourth and even cut the lead to a single digit, when him, Brown suddenly caught fire with their 3's, it was kindly late because of that huge output in the 3rd by Jimmy and the Heat.

When they feel that low chance to regain the lead, it's just fine for main scorers like Jayson Tatum to not force scoring and just come back ready for the next game. The result of Game 1 is not really alarming for them and in this playoffs, there are lots of teams who end up eliminated even after getting a Game 1 win.

I see the series between them as a match and equal. This series will probably end up in Game 7.

If Jayson Tatum was really able to maintain his spectacular effort in the second half as well, then maybe Celtics would have beaten Heat in the first game. But his performance dropped down too much and they lost as a result. He is a key player for his team now especially after his solid performance against Bucks in the conference semi finals. By the way, Butler was very impressive as he was able to score 40+ points.

The '22 NBA draft lottery concluded just moments ago. Orlando Magic won the lottery and will pick first in the upcoming draft which is set for next month (June, 23). Most draft boards have Chet Holmgren as the future number 1 pick, he is a big man that can shoot/space the floor, but also a very good shot-blocker at 7'0 ft, 3.7 blocks per game in college. Jabari Smith and Ivey from Purdue are two outstanding young players which are projected to be lottery picks as well. My favorite prospect from this year's draft though has to be Paolo Banchero. He has the size, the athleticism, excellent passer with an alright jumper coming out of Duke, and is possibly the most NBA-ready player. Interesting to see where he lands, lots of upside, him to Houston at 3 looks good imo...

Just finished watching this and also checked different mock drafts.
Chet in the favorites as 1st pick but I think Orlando Magic's missing piece is a great shooter and Jabari Smith might fit that hole. Then, I doubt OKC Thunder will pass on an opportunity to get Chet Holmgren. I think he will be a good pair for Shai.
3rd pick for the Rockets which I think will be a difficult decision. Ivey or Banchero. I am guessing it will be Banchero to add more height because they have lots of smalls already.

Chet is gonna be a flop.  Kid is gonna sit on the 3 point line and if he thinks he is gonna bang down low against the likes of embid and protect the rim its gonna be cringy.  Those knees won't hold up against a rigorous nba schedule and the physicality he is gonna see.  Just don't see how he ends up good against grown men.

There are rumors that Smart will play in the next game while Horford's return is still undetermined, and the Celtics don't expect him to be able to play in Game 2. In addition, let's hope Tatum can avoid health and safety protocols. Lol, but a win is a win, they might be lucky but as you can see in the series against the Sixers, they lead but then Joel played and it almost cost them their series. So it's not all about luck, they play very good and adjusted.

Experience shows. Warriors won in a good amount of lead. Early garbage time.
But there are still a lot of errors that need fixing. Their ball rotation is different from when they are champions. 15 turnovers and most of them are from an off-target pass.
