I wouldn't put any pressure on Nash at all. Dude will do best he can do, I see him as a very smart coach that will do his best, however the team is filled with some weird players, Kyrie is all kinds of screwed up we all know that, dude has been talking weird for 5 years now and he has done some weird things, latest was basically saying he doesn't wanna play and get out, he literally refused to play and that's it, never heard that before anywhere in my entire life.

Harden has just forced himself on a trade, dude looks like 500 pounds on his latest games, and averaged 17 ppg in the last 4 games, even if he works really hard to work with the team, dude already pulled some nasty stuff and I do not think he would be that great, and Durant is just a bitter superstar, he has burner accounts to attack his haters, he is not strong in mind type of person. So Nash has a very very hard job and I would take missing the playoffs as a bad coaching, as long as they make it to playoffs that would be fine.

Harden still looks fat, there is no denying that, but dude had a 30+ point triple double as well, which confuses everyone. I mean you have to accept the fact that dude may have dropped 44 points on first game of the season, had a 30+ point TD this game, but he still looks a lot fatter than he used to as well these are not stuff that contradicts each other.

Shaq was one of the fattest basketball players I have ever seen, on his biggest Shaq could be about 400 pounds, never officially declared at that weight but he did looked that fat on his fattest periods, but he was one of the best players ever as well. So, just because someone is fat doesn't mean they will be bad. However I believe if Harden is this good with this body, if he slimmed down he could be even better. I also think Kyrie not being there really helped him, Harden is a ball dominant player and if Kyrie has the ball that eliminated Harden instantly.

KD-Harden duo did really awesome in the game Nets beat Magic. KD got 42 points. Harden was like he was waiting for this moment. He played awesome by making a triple-double (32 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists).

Yep, it was a great debut. Harden looked good at the point guard position, and I guess that he can fully compensate for Irving's absence on the court, considering that he averages ten assists per game this season.

He did have some great highlights, but it's also of note that he had 9 turnovers.  I imagine Kyrie will handle the ball a bit more and cut down on some of Harden's turnovers, but it will be interesting to see how the shot attempts get spread out.  Looking more and more like tomorrow will be the day we get a look at what they have going.  I'm looking forward to it.  KD has been looking great coming back from injury as well.  That's a bit of a surprise to me.

That turnover though, it could be a problem and in that game, it was really that they were domination the magic, it was a close game until they had a comfortable lead in the 4th quarter. Irving will be playing as the PG, we won't see Harden holding the ball much like we've seen in his first game, so things will change and that triple double might not be achieve again.

Kyrie left the Cavs due to some issues and he don't want to be a 2nd option next to lebron so hopefully he will not react the same when harden departed on nets since if he will do some nasty moves which  can destroy their team chemistry well that would be a huge disaster to them. But we cannot  really compare harden to Westbrook since WB is a big ball hog and doesn't care about winning while harden is totally focus on winnings and he's good on sharing the ball if he see his teammate open.

If only Kyrie becomes a matured player, being a 2nd, 3rd option, and so on really doesn't matter as long as you're contributing for the team to win a chip. I'm already expecting Harden will handle the ball most of the time and that happened against the Orlando Magic. Kyrie really needs to adjust on Harden's style of play if they want to win a championship.
If this Nets team works very well, they will be dominating the East.

I like how Harden fitted to the team, but hopefully this kind of production will be consistent, one game is not enough to conclude that they have a solid chemistry. Remember, Irving has not been inserted in the line up yet, things could change if he is in the game, might as well trade him I guess if he is not effective to blend with these two MVPs.

Harden had someone now whom he can trust, I just like how the way he handle the ball, he seemed to be a better PG than Kyrie Irving IMO.  I watch the live game but was not able to finish the game, what I like which I think the highlight of the game was the pass from Harden to Green and a great finish.

Green was the one of the recipient, perfect pass. Yes, seeing Kyrie Irving in the team might change the complexion again, nothing has change on Harden, hope he can improved and play some defense. Because in a close game, it might spell the difference between winning and losing.

Against the Lakers, it will be very interesting, might be a preview of the NBA Finals,

I think we've seen how great the Nets roster already, a healthy Durant and Harden is enough already for this team to win the East Finals and beat the Lakers. Maybe too early to say but that's what I'm seeing for now, everyone is worried that Irving might destroy the chemistry, I hope we are wrong anyway. As they continue wining, it might increase their odds to win in the NBA Finals, who knows, they might become the top favorites and replace the Lakers.

When the news broke out about Harden going to Nets with Durant and Irving, the odds have shifted in their favour. We will see in inserting Irving will change the chemistry (although we really haven't seen that chemistry).

But the games against the Lakers will be a big test, and as far as the shape of Harden, I do agree that he is still out of shape, but it doesn't affect his performance. Nah, it's an exaggeration, probably just close to 240-260 tops. But I'm sure he is going to work hard and take the excess weight on him, not an issue.

They will be very unpredictable if Irving will focus on the assists and Harden and Durant will focus on the points, that's the job Irving has to do, making more shot attempts will make his teammates stagnant and might not get their rhythm early. We know that Harden always makes a lot of shot attempts to generate more points, it might be limited here but with proper ball distribution, these big 3 can contribute according to the game plan.

What you saw is just one game, with one game you don't conclude that the team will be a better team, we will probably need to see more before we can conclude, if they are consistently winning, then that's the time to conclude.

Me neither, these kind of trades really suck, but how else to fight the other super teams other than creating your own super team. I guess supermax contracts don't work as good as NBA thought it will as players are choosing titles>money.

Will they be more competitive by adding one of the best offensive players in quite some time? Most certainly. Can they beat Lakers in seven games? Probably. Will that happen? I don't think so. Lakers are still top contender, but Nets are up to nr 2 now and if everything works as expected, clearly the favorites on the East.

Nets went all in and sacrificed their future for the chance to win the title in the next two years and while that gamble makes sense, chances of that happening ain't the best. Well, as long as LJ and AD stays healthy, and now there are rumors that Lakers are after Zach LaVine.

While it's always nice to start with the win,  barely beating an average team like Magic doesn't tell us much. After all, Harden was brought to fight with the top teams in the playoffs.

No doubt with Zion, he is a real number 1 overall pick. He will improve this season and let's just hope that he will remain healthy. Unfortunately his team was struggling, they were in a losing streak before this win, and this win is not easy for them as the Kings did not give up, they rally and make it a close game.

He is now at 22 points per game and I had been betting for this guy's stats for some time.
Maybe he could take it to a higher number since it was him and Ingram who can contribute more for their offense.

It was a close game actually, Clarkson made a 3 point shot that give the Jazz a good lead. If these will face in the series, I think it will again reach in game 7, I like the development of Jokic, he is slowly becoming a complete player, and with that said, I believe he has a chance to win an MVP award this season.

That guy is amazing and he added one poster tonight in his collection by dunking on that other known player. There's no update yet on Irving's status, I'm excited to see him playing with his new teammate James Harden, but as per the site I'm following, there's been no update yet on his availability tomorrow.

you are right, he is mostly focus on offense, you can tell on his statistic where he averaged 27.1 PPG this season.

For him to adopt properly, he can lower the points and increase the assists, maybe at least 10 assists per game and 20 PPG.

LA Clippers played a home game against Indiana Pacers this morning. Clippers got a huge win (129-96) and continued their win-streak. On Clippers side, Marc. Morris, L. Kennard and P. George got 20 points. K. Leonard got 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. On Pacers side, McDermott got 23 points. D. Sabonis made a double-double (19 points, 14 rebounds).
