I feel like I need a bot that just posts Dwight Howard's stats and says that Frank Vogel needs to be fired on here after every game.  Tonight Dwight Howard put up 10 points and 7 rebounds on 4-6 from the field with only 11 minutes of play.  At that pace you're looking at a 30/20 game if he got as many minutes as the starters and he does this almost every night...  Luckily tonight AD put up 30 and Carmelo Anthony was a monster shooting 8-12 for 24 points so it was enough for them to beat the Blazers, but barely.  Without Damien Lillard this game shouldn't have even been close...  I can't believe with a roster full of hall of famers, LeBron still has to carry his team and they struggle against even the most overmatched opponents when he sits out (like tonight). 

Russ though has a horrendous shooting night, and so is the others Trailblazers.
It was a very close match, if Portland could have made those free throws and I think the Lakers went 9 out of 10 or something like that in the last 1:30 of the game. But a win is still a win for the Lakers.
So they made some separation from Portland for the 9th spot in the West. But they need to win more games to catch up the Clippers at 8th spot.

The result of the Phoenix Suns vs Brooklyn Nets game didn't surprise me even a bit. Suns were in a much stronger condition than Nets and we saw it by their performance in this game also. Nets felt Kevin Durant's absence indeed but I don't think that they would still have won this game by having him in the starting five also. It is just really difficult to beat Suns in this season recently. They have had a great winning streak so far. They missed the chance of being the champions in the finals last season and I wonder if they will make it this time.

Just as I have thought and they are on 11th win streak now and who knows they might be on the books of most streak wins for a team, isn't impossible when the team is really in good shape. Can't wait for them head to head with Warriors this 2022 Western Conference Finals and I think everyone can agree here with me with that speculation. Feels like they do want that comeback and hope it's their time now and a ring for Paul too.

Suns are on a really great streak right now and everyone on their squad is having a great contribution on the scoreboard. Nets definitely felt the absence of Durant maybe the scoreline could have been different if they had Durant, who knows as he was also on great form!!

But it turned out to be another loss for Nets by 112-101. Harden and Irving had really terrible performances. Especially Harden didn't even play as he got 4 points in 37 minutes. Nets' losing streak is six games now and this is really worrying to me. Nets must find a way out of this situation otherwise they would have serious problems even if they qualify for the playoffs.

Lebron is the most important player for the Lakers and he showed it in each and every game he played. His absence was felt by the Lakers but none the less they won the game.

Anthony Davis is performing well and was well accompanied by Anthony who scored 24 points. I just hope that the coach plays Davis carefully so that he doesn't get injured again because if that happens again, the Lakers will be in huge trouble as they already don't have LeBron James which was made their power a bit blunt.

I totally agree with you. This has been a trend from the start of the season that Howard has been playing insanely well in every match but he is only given 10 to 15 minutes of playtime which is very unfair to him.

If he's played more the Lakers would have been in a better position that's for sure. He managed 10 points and 7 rebounds in on 11 minutes last game and if he's given at least 25 minutes, he could easily double that stats. I don't know what the problem is, maybe it's an internal clash or political reasons but it needs to be fixed soon.

An awful shooting for Westbrook indeed. He only has 3/12 FG and 1/4 on threes. Good thing that they have Davis who is trying to make his presence felt after his injury and got a double-double 30 points and 15 rebounds. On the other hand though, Trail Blazers are one of the bottom teams in the West and they don't have Lillard as well so not a convincing win at least for me but hey... a win is still a win and hope Laker fans out there are happy to see their team win.

Their all star players Irving and Harden have an awful night this time. They are combined for 18 points only for the whole game and now they are in a 6 game losing streak and currently 6th in the standings. The former top team for some time are now at the 6th already.

This is the effect of Durant not playing in the team and take note that Irving will only play half of their games because of him not vaccinated so this is another problem for him and also include Harden's hamstring injury as well. I don't know how the Nets will solve this without KD. They need KD really bad and I also want to see these 3 all star players playing at the same time. Unfortunately we are at the half of the season already and we didn't see them play all 3 in one game.

Davis played the caliber that he used to be playing before his injury. Lakers need him to be back with his rhythm.

mostly playing on their own and not as a team. Luckily Davis finds a good backup from Melo he fill the need for their offense..

Score is 99-94 in favor of the Lakers. Low scoring game which means they worked harder on their defense. I feel like Frank Vogel is up to something or he is already doing it. Why won't he give the minutes to Dwight? Is he half injured or is he saving him for something else because this is not the minutes given to him while they are playing at the bubble. JaVale McGee has higher minutes than him and they have Ayton there and Biyombo.

They beat the Blazers because the team is not even a playoff team now, no Lillard for the team so they are also not consistent. That's the word. BARELY. They barely won against one of the worst defensive teams right now in the league.

There are some times where Westbrook is carrying the game like in their game where he is hot but just missed the game winning shot but there are times where he is having a bad night like this one. With regards to Melo and Dwight, both of them are very efficient when they are in the court and I'm hoping that Coach Vogel will give more time to these 2 especially Dwight. I still remember when they won the championship in the bubble. Dwight is their center at that time and he is very good defender and rebounder as well. How in the hell Coach Vogel can't give him more minutes?
