Curry leaving Warriors would be like Tim Duncan leaving San Antonio, or Kobe leaving Lakers, I do not think that it is going to happen. Even if they suck for the remainder of his career there, he will just stick with them and play the best ball he could play. Look at Kobe, he didn't had great teams at all times, he had horrible teams between shaq and gasol period, and he had terrible teams on the last years of his life as well, he didn't leave the team and stick with them and played 20 years.

All in all, I still think that Curry owes Warriors a lot and Warriors owe Curry a lot and they are just going to pay him the maximum. They will of course try their best to build a good team around him, but I do not think that it will be that easy at all.

It still depends on the management. Some team has the worst management which they let star player nearly out of their prime trade for young promising players but I agree with you that Warriors will definitely keep Curry until the end since he has a lot of supporters that will help Warriors boost popularity that is crucial on their team profit through ticket sales and sponsors.

Curry is still has a lot of skills and still on his prime which is why talking about this topic is still not relevant for now. Maybe we can discuss this topic later on if show weakness like Thompson did.

Not sure if how Lakers will convince both Curry and warriors management,  I mean what offer they can give allowing the value of Curry, not unless there's a problem internally between Curry and warriors team owners or something that can lead to departure of Curry but for now, I'm not sure if how convincing it is that this trade rumors will be executed.  We stil have until the trade deadline which most of those shocking trade surprises take place.

I find it impossible to happen now since for sure their careers is already sealed with current teams where they are. Also for sure that they retire on which team they currently on and same goes with Curry since I think he remain to be a Warrior. Curry still good in Warriors despite of what happen recently when Klay is out in their team, but for sure this is not enough reason for him to ask a trade and paired up with Lebron.

Its just there are people creating a drama on their last Olympics run and just want to earned huge traffic to their articles.

New meta for some media now is to edit the pic of well known superstar wearing other teams jersey and create a rumor then boom they have good article which provably can catch the attention of NBA fans all over the world.

Yeah right, someone who wants to make money from social media post which attracting interest from readers and viewers, for sure if there's real news like it won't be secret as social media accounts of both the players and the teams who are involve with this rumor trades but most likely not going to happen as there are factors affects the possibilities that it will take place.

Interesting news here, and worth a read.

LaMarcus Aldridge interested in training with Victor Wembanyama

I think it would be a good decision if they hire this guy as a training coach for Wemby's development. If we've seen how good LA was during his prime, this guy was really unstoppable, especially with his accurate midrange shot. So, what do you guys think about this? Is he the best choice, or is there someone better?

This is what I say when people talk about "fake news on legacy media" about politics, like cnn and msnbc and fox etc etc all lie to you (true) but then you think someone on twitter is saying the truth? Lol, how could that be real and why would anyone believe that ever, that's funny. This Curry and Lebron business has always been like that too, and whenever one of them did anything even remotely suspicious then we are talking about something that's not really that complicated, it's normal and nothing major.

I feel like they take the smallest things, like Curry took off warriors and put Olympic champions, and run with it because they want the attention. You know what's worse? Someone shares that, and gets a bit of attention, and then million other accounts share the same thing, either word for word verbatim, or just same thing with different words, hoping to get a bit of attention too. Because on social media, you try to get attention, that's your currency there.

Would you agree with the prediction of the ESPN that the Lakers will fall and will only finish at the number 11th spot?

Here's the prediction from ESPN.

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/40940111/nba-predictions-2024-25-win-loss-records-warriors-thunder-every-west-team

Quote
The contenders
1. Oklahoma City Thunder: 57-25

2. Minnesota Timberwolves: 54-28

3. Dallas Mavericks: 52-30

4. Denver Nuggets: 52-30

5. Phoenix Suns: 49-33

6. Sacramento Kings: 47-35

The play-in group
7. New Orleans Pelicans: 46-36

8. Golden State Warriors: 45-37

9. Memphis Grizzlies: 44-38

10. Houston Rockets: 44-38

The bottom five
11. Los Angeles Lakers: 44-38

12. LA Clippers: 43-39

13. San Antonio Spurs: 35-47

14. Utah Jazz: 26-56

15. Portland Trail Blazers: 22-60

Factors that affected the Lakers for the expert to came up with that prediction is the new coach JJ Reddick and probably not adding some role players that would improve the roster.

I would swap the Warriors with the Lakers on this list.  I'm not that high on the Lakers but I think the Warriors are in a tougher spot I think.  The mental break of klay leaving I think will make a difference.  It was always steph klay and draymond.  Whenever you break up the band and try to patchwork it usually ends up with disastrous results.  Just a differemt texture to the locker room and everything.  Other than that I think espn is spot on.

Yeah, I think Wemby needs a mentor and we have seen former players who become mentor as well like Hakeem. And LA during his prime was a good player specially with Portland and San Antonio, that is his prime years.

He knows how to post up, and play in front of the basket as a big man. So for sure with LA's experience, he will be a good mentor for Wemby. Only if and Kawhi could have click with the Spurs back then, it might produce them another ring.

Memphis, GSW and Lakers, they could inter change their positions for me, Ja Morant will be back this season for them and I think fully healed it will be a different Grizzlies team. And then we will see how tough the Warriors will be without Klay Thompson, it might be a different mindset for them for now, as Curry will have to proved himself to be able to carry the team again without Klay.

And the Lakers also hanging on Lebron and AD, they almost had it and upset the Nuggets last year if not for them breaking down the stretch. And with a new coach, it could be a different approach for them.

I also think that at least the Lakers should be ranked a little higher in this prediction. Personally, I expect that their performance in the upcoming season might be at the 6th-7th spot in the standings. As for the Warriors' performance, I doubt that Curry single-handedly will be able to take the team to the playoffs.

Lakers still a finals contender team despite of what happen last season. They still have the great players in the league so provably that things may came different in their side when regular season came in.

Also on Warriors side even if Klay left in their team they also had a great replacement. They had Hield and Melton which provably can contribute in the perimeter, also Mr slow me Andersen is been added which is also a good contributor on defense he can also shoot which is suitable for Warriors type of plays. With current roster they have the Warriors became more better and with their current roster we provably can say that they have a shot to get a playoff spot. But for finals? I think it still questionable.

Right, I will also put the Lakers above as well. Curry is old already, and we have seen Green as well, his game going down, and with no other help, it could be just Kuminga and Wiggins but we don't know that mindset of this players, specially Wiggins. I'm not thinking though, if Jordan Poole is still with the Warriors, he might be the next splash brothers. So it's going to be very hard for Curry right now, he still can shoot, but with the current talent the West or the NBA has today, it will take a lot from him just to be in the playoff and not in play-in. Warriors did get some players, but we still haven't seen on how they are going to adjust with the system of Steve Kerr.

Melton could just be a back up point guard for Curry, although I think Melton can shoot 3s as well. But I'm interested to see how Buddy Hield will do as a Warrior, he could not be the replacement that we are looking, but he can also shoot high percentage from the outside.

The blue print is still there with the Warriors, on how they filled the void of the players that they have lost. And we can go back to the history of Steve Kerr with the Bulls. Because of the championship experience with Chicago and Phil Jackson and this is what Kerr is obviously following in the Warriors right now.

I thought that the Spurs and LA relationship didn't end well as he moved to the Nets. So I think this is still a rumor, although he shows intention to ran it with Wemby, but we will see how the Spurs management will responds to it.

The coach is still Pop and he could have built a relationship with LA and there's nothing personal. Also things that I remember with LaMarcus Aldridge is his fadeaway, maybe Wemby can developed it as well when he go and post up plays and then pull that.

No they aren't a finals contender. I beg to disagree with this unfortunately.

AD just played his best season where he played a career-high 76 games, and Lebron also played his one of his best seasons, and yet they didn't even win a single series. Aside from both of them, who do you think can be a good role player for the Lakers? Reaves? Hachimura? Russell? They can't even help them win a single series. I don't want to compare the Lakers last season with the Nuggets when they won a title, but since you said that they are a finals contender, I should be, and the Lakers' roster aren't even close to that of the Nuggets. Even their role players are far better.

They aren't a finals contender. They are just a mediocre team that will not win a title unless they will get better role players and maybe another all-star.

Also on Warriors side even if Klay left in their team they also had a great replacement. They had Hield and Melton which provably can contribute in the perimeter, also Mr slow me Andersen is been added which is also a good contributor on defense he can also shoot which is suitable for Warriors type of plays. Well, this might be a better opinion because Hield really is a good three-point shooter. 2 of the best three-point shooters last season are now on the same team. We might see the Warriors doing what they did during their prime years a few years ago because of them. Aside from that, they have Melton and Andersen. I just hope that Wiggins if they will not trade him, will play better now because he's been inconsistent all year last season, and Kuminga must step up in terms of offense as well.

Good point we still need to see them adopting the system and how those trades will work for them, though with the young talents from the west side, there's a lot and tough competition positioning your team. It's a team efforts and how the system will work for the whole squad, I guess seeing them playing together will provide hint if how they will perform and how far they'll going to proceed on this upcoming season, let see if how Curry will lead them and how coach Kerr will still be able to manage Green and the rest of the squad.

I have high doubts about the Warriors right now and not because of Klay Thompson leaving the team. It lacks the drive to be champions again and I don't think they will anytime soon. Kuminga is a blooming talent and he will probably be kept by the Warriors, Steph will end his career there, and Green will probably be traded in the next few years.
They claimed their championships, but it will be difficult to find that reason to boosts their energy again into wanting the ring one more time.
I think it's the Timberwolves and the Dallas Mavericks that want it bad and I do believe those two teams will still be the ones who will make the West Finals. Either one of them or both of them.

Russell Westbrook isn’t having the best honeymoon period in Denver already. Christian Braun apparently was unwilling to listen to Westbrooks please to wear number 0 this year for the Nuggets. A little bit crazy for a no-name to refuse a legend his jersey number, but that seems to be in line with Westbrook’s treatment wherever he goes.

Edit: Westbrook responded that this rumor is not true and he wanted a new number for his new start in Denver. Sounds to me like he’s sticking up for his new teammate.

Yes, this should be rank higher than the Warriors, as the Dubs are not without Klay, although I have seen comments that they have Melton and Buddy Hield and so it will be a complete different Warrior lineup and that they might get over losing Klay Thompson.

So let's see the adjustment made by coach Kerr, but obviously, the Warriors might have a hard time this season to catch the bus in the Western conference as the young team are taking over like his team mate in the Olympics in ANT.

Westbrook will wear number 4,  he had that number with the Wizards during his tenure with them.

This is a funny thing to think about. Imagine him screaming, “Dad, Pass me the ball!”

I wonder if it will happen anyway just as a muscle memory reflex. Honestly though, I’ll be a little bit surprised if Bronny actually makes the final squad and gets real game time alongside his Dad LeBron.

^^ Yeah, it's funny and awkward at the same time, but for sure they are going to be mic'ed on and hear what the father and son duo are going to say if they are both on the floor. But I'm seeing Lebron is the one going to pass the ball more to Bronny to score and not the other way around.

And since we are still talking about the Warriors, not sure if we touch based on this topic, Can Quinten Post crack the Warriors rotation next season?

Quote
The Golden State Warriors acquired Quinten Post's draft rights from the Portland Trail Blazers for cash considerations earlier this summer. Post, a seven-foot sharpshooting big man out of Boston College, could quickly become part of Steve Kerr's rotation next season as the Warriors look to add more size to their frontcourt rotation.

We say that they doesn't have the size as they used to be, but we haven't heard at least for me that they got this 7'1 and he could be a big help to protect the ring.

Yes, you can say that Curry is old by basketball standards, as he is already 36 years old. However, I don't think age is an obstacle for him, and his performance is unlikely to get worse in the coming years. I mean, even when Curry's 40 years old, he'll still have the same good three-point percentage he has now.
However, that doesn't change the fact that the Warriors still need someone else to be a competitive team in the upcoming season.

Poole could NEVER be another splash brother. Sure he can shoot but he lacks a lot of things Klay and Steph are known for. He can't defend, his decision making often enough is terrible and overall he lacks a lot of basketball IQ. Sure he has some handles and a shooting ability from long range but that's not all for a players carrying the ball.

Anyway, it's gonna be a tough season for the GSW I think. They are getting older and they didn't get the improvements to the roster they were hoping for since players like PG13 and so on chose other destinations.
