In my opinion, the rest of the Moin should be burned.
Hey dotabeard, thanks for your interest. MOIN was forked from SDC as we considered it a solid and feature-rich base to build upon. We've customized the wallet a bit but we haven't deviated that far from SDC's design because we really like it. It's a damned good-looking wallet. We'll continue to tweak it and make it our own over time though.
The roadmap in the OP should give you a rough idea of what stage we're at - the superblocks stage has ended and the swap will be wound down over the next few weeks. We'll probably be releasing an updated road map shortly as some time has passed and we've had a few other ideas since the first one was created.
Frankly I think white papers are regularly used as a gimmick in this space, often to add a sense of legitimacy to less than legitimate projects. I'm not opposed to them in principle, but I don't see any point in producing one for MOIN once we have unique technical features that warrant it.
The team at the moment is myself and our graphic designer plus a host of community members who've contributed lots to the project. Moincoin was in a pretty sorry state when we took over but I feel like it has a lot more going for it now.
We've taken an approach that I know isn't the norm here, by not making any big promises in advance. Basically we don't want to be just another one of
those projects. Everyone's seen them, fancy graphics, big promises, dev absconds. It's so important to me that MOIN differentiate itself from that sort of thing that I'm more than willing to take the short-term hit as regards people perhaps not wanting to invest because we haven't proclaimed we're on the cusp of blockchain-based pizza delivery or the first node in space or whatever else is being promised elsewhere this week.
At this stage our goals are modest and concrete. HD wallets followed by a revised roadmap. We have longer-term goals and more interesting feature we'd like to implement, but we won't announce them until everything's in place and we're reasonably certain that they can be achieved. If you aren't comfortable investing at this stage that's quite alright, you're welcome to keep an eye on the topic and hang out in the IRC channel #moin-crypto while we continue work on it.
*Edit: Thanks for letting us know about the website issue. I've the same resolution and haven't had any problems with it, but I'll pass it along to our designer so that he can take a look.
