Not sure what this means? are you saying that you are going to Fork part of MOIN? If you need funding then set up a donation fund where people can donate some btc or any other coin they like to donate with. I'll be interested to see what this all means.

Apologies vella, I made that post last thing at night. By PART I mean Particl. I'll explain the reasoning behind it and the benefits it'd give us in the next few days.

I guess it would be beneficial to upgrage to latest "SDC". Having Segwit, Core 0.15.1 and cold staking on Moin blockchain would make nice upgrades. Maybe Hardfork and donations thought, if possible.

I'll be interested to see what the dev has planned moving forward. I will support the dev and MOIN all the way so we shall see what the dev says in a couple of days time. MOIN has taken a hit recently and hasn't been this cheap in months so a change might help make the price stable.

Hi examplens, hero points are an idea we are working on to reward people in a friendly competition of promoting moin on a weekly basis.  The idea is to have tasks available for people to complete and each task gains them points.  The top point holders get MOIN from the foundation on a weekly basis.  Right now we are just putting together the rules together and looking for input on some things people could do to receive the points.

Hi gawajn. There is one main developer for this project who is KingCaper and three other people listed as officially on the team.   It really is a community effort however and in the last few months as more people have gotten involved there are a few other folks that have been taking on tasks and helping come up with more ideas. We have also been talking about outsourcing some development, but we need to work out any specifics of that.

Moin 2.0 on the website refers to the version of MOIN we are on now.  The one that is forked from SHADOW.  MOIN swapped to this version from a PoW/PoS chain that wasn't working well and had been abandoned by it's original developers.

Reddit Tipbot Stabalized

We had a kind of funny incident where the day we started testing a seemingly final version of the bot reddit changed their api output!  The bot we are working with uses a library that was incompatible with the new reddit api responses.  What was really amazing was that within 10 hours of the problem the beautiful open source community provided a fix! So long story short the reddit tipbot for our upcoming subreddit seems to be functioning well now. 


King Caper Works On PART Fork

King Caper announced this week that the task diverting him at the moment away from development of the platform is working on how to correctly fork the PART code base.  MOIN will eventually swap over to this codebase which will provide a plethora of benefits for future development.  The specifics of the swap are still to be determined.


Birthday Subbreddit Launchtacullar?

November 4th marks the anniversary of this thread OP and as such is in a way the 2nd birthday of MOIN 2.0.  Although we can't make a super special pinky promise we are hoping to be able to coincide this date with the launch of the new subreddit and the opening of signups for the Moin Movement League.  It will be really nice to open up MOIN discussions on reddit and interact with the larger crypto currency community there.

Yobit doesnt maintain its coins and forgot about its MOIN wallet a long time ago.  We have warnings to not trade on yobit all over this thread for years as well.  So do many other coins.  I am sorry if you bought MOIN on yobit but it is not the same coin.

The good news is if you are interested in MOIN you can get the real one on several other exchanges and get involved right here or in our chatrooms.

So November 4th is the day we started this thread and as such is the day we celebrate as MOIN's birthday, so happy birthday everyone! Much love and thanks to everyone on the team and the whole community. I think we all deserve to be proud - there are many, many coins that never made it this far. We have two years' worth of experience and learning under our belts, and some big plans for (and possible changes coming) in the future. We're just getting started. Cheers everyone!
